The Hoover OXY cleaner has gotten quite a bit of use since I'm stuck at home and looking for things to do. With an older dog and a teenage daughter who loves to entertain, there is no shortage of stains on my carpets. There are a couple that just have held on no matter what cleaners I tried. The OXY Tough finally took care of them! It took a couple of applications and some scrubbing to completely get them gone, but I could actually see them lightening as I sprayed the first time. There is no strong chemical smell which is a bonus. I've also been able to get stains up from area rugs without any discoloration or damage. (Obviously test for yourself on your stained area to be sure.) Most of the stains I have treated took little or no effort. Spray, wait a bit, dab up, stain gone. Like the title says, this stuff just works.

I used it 2x i did not see much different it removes the stain but not everything. But i will still give it a try and see if there’s improvement

The Hoover Oxy Stain Remover is a really good option for anyone with dirt spots or stains on their carpet. I have a kid and dogs, so my carpet goes through the wringer every now and then. The Oxy stain remover is a welcome product, that works alone or with a steam cleaner vacuum. This product was easily able to remove large to small dirt stains on my carpet, as well as juice and wine stains - making the carpet shine like new again. I tested this with both a steam cleaner vacuum and by itself with a rag. The results were pretty much the same. The instructions are simple and clear, you spray the solution on the targeted area, let sit for about 10 min, then sop up with a rag or towel. I found there to be no lingering oder either, it smells very fresh and clean afterwords. The Hoover Oxy stain remover is an essential product for me, as it does a fantastic job at cleaning tough stain on the carpet that really stand out. I found it to be just as useful with or without using my steam cleaning vacuum, which is a bonus seeing how I don't have to drag that out to clean a stain on my carpet anymore. It provides great results, and it leaves your carpet smelling very fresh afterwords. I would definitely recommend this product to any looking for a good tough stain cleaner.

I live in a 2 story home with about 1500 square feet carpeted. I have 2 cats and a small dog. This cleaner does an amazing job of cleaning my carpets. My pets are very good at creating extremely hard to clean messes. This cleaner is very capable of cleanIng these hard stains from pet “accidents”. I used it in a spot carpet cleaning machine as a cleaning solution. It worked very well in this capacity. I also used it to pre treat stains and it likewise excelled. I am very impressed with this carpet cleaning solution. It has top notch cleaning power and is very easy to use.

I used this spray several different ways and it works very well. My first technique was to spot clean and blot a stain. I sprayed a fabric ottoman that had a light colored stain I believe to have been from my dog. It got most of the stain but still left some outline I even scrubbed it for good measure but did not get all of it. My next method was to use with my deep cleaner. This left a much cleaner look and smell. It got almost all traces of my stains out of the ottoman. Both the originally treated stain and some new stains on that same peice. I then used it on my recliner with my deep cleaner. It left it so clean and fresh, like it had been professionally cleaned. I love the fresh sent. Overall this is a very good cleaner. It does not get stains out perfectly, but it's not a miracle worker. It is still very good and perfectly worth it.

My son had spilled something on the seats of his car so we gave this a try to get the stains out. Per instructions, we applied and waited ten minutes. We blotted the stain a bit and also used our home carpet cleaner. It has a hand attachment that one can use on different types of upholstery. The Oxy Stain Remover seemed to do a really nice job on stains that have been needing a cleaning for awhile. We were more than satisfied with the results and would recommend giving this a try.

purchased and didn't get to use until today. Called best buy was told I cant return due to the return date I have had it exactly 30 days.....first use it leaks from the bottom just everywhere terrible product.

Carpet cleaner isn't the most exciting of things to buy, but it's a necessity for those of us with kids and or pets. Between my animals having accidents and my kids making messes which don't make sense, I've used this cleaner on rugs and my basement carpet., my car and my couch. Once for an animal accident and others for chocolate and spaghetti in carpet. It even got an old milk stain out of my car's interior. I can say that this Hoover cleaner does a fantastic job. For carpets, I removed the bulk of the stain (i.e. animal accident and spaghetti) and then sprayed the cleaner on the stain. I let it sit and then scrubbed gently away with paper towels and voila. Stain gone. When I sprayed it on the upholstery in my car and on the couch, I let it soak and then used a handheld cleaner which had some brushes and a vacuum. That really worked. An old milk stain on the floor of my car was completely gone. It even got rid of stale smell (which you could really only smell when you put your nose on the floorboard). While this carpet cleaner will work just fine by spraying it, letting it soak, and using some good old elbow grease, if you have any type of carpet cleaning device (whether upright or handheld) you will have even better success. While there are other, competent cleaners I've used in the past, I highly recommend the Hoover Oxy clean. It's extremely versatile and works great.

I have a rug in front of my kitchen sink, which is of course a stain magnet. I was curious whether Hoover's Oxy stain remover could work for some of the tougher stains on this rug. Long story short- Oxy tough stain remover was able to defeat some stains that were already diffuse from age and wear, and bring the rig fibers back to their original color. But there was one stain, which is newer and more saturated, that didn't come out, even with multiple applications. I did notice some of the color of the stain being soaked into the towels I used to blot it, but even several tries wasn't enough to get rid of the stain, and eventually, the color stopped coming off on the towel while the stain stayed in the rug. In general, this product works very well, but it might not be enough to get the toughest stains out. I do not own a Hoover carpet cleaner, so i can't speak to whether the tougher stain would have come out by using the Oxy stain remover in concert with the carpet cleaner. I don't think the smell of the Oxy cleaner is bad or overwhelming, but I am not a chemical-sensitive person in general. There is a slight odor, but not bad.

This stain removal did not work on the stains on my car seat. I was really disappointed in the results.

I have cats and a boyfriend and a roommate who are constantly spilling something or causing some sort of stains so it's very easy for me to try this product out. I tried it on an area rug where my cat threw up and it worked within minutes! I think my favorite thing about the product is that it doesn't smell at all! Other carpet/stain removal cleaners I own have a really strong chemical smell to them and I hate it. This product seems a lot safer in the way that it won't bleach or damage the coloring in the fabric you spray it on. It's still a good idea to test an area before spraying it all over though.

I had a stain on a large expensive throw rug in my living room that I did not know what it came from. I was nervous to use anything on it because I did not want it to leave a residue or halo as some other cleaners had done in the past. I tried this out on a small urine stain from the dog on carpeting in the house and it worked great. It worked fast, did not leave and spots at all and did not leave behind any smell. I decided to try it out on the large throw rug since it was such a small stain. I am very happy to report that it worked extremely well on the off white rug/ You cant tell that there was a dark brown stain there at all. See the attached picture for proof. Would definitely recommend especially if you have kids and dogs like me!

I had some really nasty stains floating around, from some dog accidents that happened about a month ago. While the carpet was clean (didn't smell) the stains remained and they looked pretty bad. So, I gave this a try and was quite pleased at the result. I had used other carpet cleaners and didn't get all the stains out. This Hoover product did get the final stains out and makes the carpet look like new. It did such a good job, it makes the rest of the carpet reveal it is dirty. I'll be getting the hoover carpet cleaning machine out during this time of being a shut-in and get all the carpets cleaned! I would recommend this for tough carpet stains, to get them out the first time, even ones you don't think can be fixed.

I waited for the right moment to present itself to review this Stain Remover. Sure enough this week it presented itself. Our family dog ended up throwing up on a white rug of ours, of course he couldn't do that on the wood floor right next to the rug, but that's the way it goes I guess. Hoover Oxy Tough Stain Remover to the rescue. I sprayed the Stain Remover on the area (after cleaning up the larger stuff..I know..gross) and left it on the stain for about 7 minutes or so. Blotted the area with a paper towel and like magic the stain was almost all gone. I hit the area one more time with a lighter application of the stain remover and that took care of it 100%. Great stuff....just get it!
