I have used a Hoover floormate for years and it is the best spent money I ever made. After you use the wet and scrub feature on the floor, it picks up the water and also picks up the grit and sandy bits that somehow get on your floor. Regular mopping does not get up the gritty bits. I use it for both hardwood and tile floors. The old one wore out and I just replaced it with a new one. However, I must say I liked the old one better because it picked up the water better. The new machine leaves more water and thus takes longer to dry. However the new one is still top notch.

We rescue cats. This means we have to clean constantly. I used to have to clean our floors on my hands and knees. Thank God this machine was invented! Yes, it did wear out, but it took 4 or 5 years I think. I am very happy I was able to replace it.

This product does exactly what it says it will do. It was easy to use and did a great job cleaning my kitchen floor. I guess if I would ask for one thing it would be for the vacuum feature to provide stronger suction but it worked well enough and the floor cleaning feature is superb.

Love Love Love this machine! Not only do I use it on my entire first floor (18" tile), but we operate a short term rental house, and I use it there too! In fact, I purchased it for the short term rental house - was never satisfied before with how clean I could get the floors. If you take your time, this machine cleans your floors like nothing else. As other reviews indicate, check the machine before storage - especially if you have wooden floors-can leak a bit after use. I do not use it to vacuum - too much of a pain to clean the filter just for that. I use my regular vacuum, and use this machine instead of a mop or steam mop.

Cleans floor well. But it's hard work pushing and pulling over the same spots multiple times. Also, it kept losing suction after a while. I had to figure out it was because the dirty water tank was full. Once that was emptied, suction for drying came back. Handle us not comfortable to grip and spray to do big rooms. I'll use my Swiffer for quick cleanups and save this machine for heavy cleaning a few times a year.

Love my hoover, easy to use and clean up. Very light weight. Has saved me a lot of time compared to sweeping and mopping my whole house manually with a broom and mop

I'm a dog person, I have 2 big dogs and trying to keep my tile floors clean is tough. I saw a commercial for the Hoover Floormate and had to have one. Best purchase of a floor cleaner I have ever made. Could not believe how incredibly clean my floor was once I was done cleaning it. Now having the dogs in the house is not an issue. Thanks Hoover!!!

I have 3 dogs and hardwood floors. Quick and easy to use and clean up vacuum works well to remove water on the floor.

I really like this product, though it is not the panacea of hard floor cleaning that it could potentially be. It is really great to be able to pick up the dirty water used to clean the floor, though it isn't the absolute best dry vacuum.

I would definitely recommend this product. It is easy to use and it really does clean quite thoroughly.

Got this as a present for my wife and she finds it easy to use and cleans like a dream. One of my better Mother's Day presents.

I like the floor cleaner for the most part. The only down side I see is that it doesn't hold enough cleaner> For my home, which is mostly tile floors, I have to empty it and refill at least four times (my home isn't that big either). It does a good job though; just takes a while.

We got a super deal on the FloorMate - ours was apparently a store display and as the new model was coming out, this was available at a great discount. Our rep was friendly and knowledgeable and even allowed a further discount from an ad that Best Buy was running

This product allows you to remove dirty water from the floor. It is far superior to mopping for tile floors. You will still have to clean the grout if dirty.

Does everything and more. I love the fact that you can completely take it apart for cleaning. Makes getting the dog hair out a breeze

Bought this on sale so pretty good value for the sale price. Good for quick clean-ups. Have to empty often if you have a dog that sheds a lot. Easy to switch from wet to dry cleaning is a positive.

We recently installed vinyl flooring in 3 rooms because of our dogs. Getting the floors clean can be a challenge but this really does the trick. It works great. It does take a bit of time to set up and clean up afterward so this is typically a weekend chore rather than a spur of the moment cleaner. Very pleased.
