This is a decent little vacuum which really good suction, initially at least. It works fairly well but the battery starts to die after about 15 minutes. Overall, it’s decent for vacuuming small areas but extra batteries are a must.

I love this thing. I currently have the newest Dyson stick and this thing does just as good of a job. I also love the little headlights for sweeping in areas with low lights. I have tile, wood and carpet flooring and it does wonderful on all of them. The speeds are nice too because I don’t need to run full blast on wood or tile. The battery life is about 35 minutes for average use but if you run full power the whole time I can only get 20 minutes. Overall a much cheaper alternative to Dyson.

This cordless vacuum is kind of a beast. It is honestly the most powerful vacuum I have ever used. I was amazed at how much dust it sucked out of my medium sized bedroom rug. The rug looked clean and the vacuum sucked out soooo much dust and hair. I was mind blown. I will definitely be using this on my rugs and carpet a couple times a week. The hair it picked up got all wrapped up tightly on the roller brush that is in the head / carpet attachment. It is so easy to clean up though, It has a "coin slot" cover on the side that gives you easy access to the roller brush. Honestly the whole vacuum is brilliantly designed, and makes cleaning it up an easy task. The canister comes off with the press of a tab, for easy trash and dust disposal. The filter and compartment is also removable allowing you to rinse out the canister of any dust left behind. Hoover includes two batteries, a single battery charger, an extension :"stick" a carpet cleaning head with roller brush, a hard floor attachment, crevice cleaner and a brush head attachment. It is light enough to use with or without the extension stick. I plan on using this to vacuum my cars interior with the smaller attachments. This vacuum can tackle any chore you throw at it. It has an eco mode , normal mode and carpet mode. I don't use eco mode much, unless I just need to do a light spot clean. Carpet mode should be called Beast Mode. It literally turns on the turbo and starts sucking up everything in its path. Only problem with it is that It kills the battery within 5 minutes. You'll probably need two batteries to clean a large carpet that covers a bedroom. Normal mode is alright, I would recommend you keep it in normal mode most the time. Use Beast Mode only when you have both batteries fully charged and ready to go. I wish the battery would last a bit longer.. but it is understandable, This vacuum is very powerful but remains lightweight and provides the convenience of being cordless. Would I recommend this to a friend.? Absolutely. It is fantastic for cleaning just about every inch of your home. It'll be great for the car as well!

We got this to replace a similar stick-style vacuum that was no longer working effectively. So far we haven't been disappointed at all! Assembly was simple enough. The hardest part was getting past the mental block that the canister goes on sideways. For some reason I kept trying to put it on facing up and down like our old vacuum, so keep that in mind when putting it together! I was surprised at how lightweight it is, even with the battery installed. It feels almost weightless thanks to the way it's balanced with most of the weight near the handle. The head swivels, making it really easy to move around obstacles and under things. It's really great on the stairs. The head is narrow, so I was able to use it sideways across each step so it covers everything. Although we had been vacuuming the stairs regularly we still filled most of the canister with a pass on our staircase, meaning the old vacuum was leaving stuff behind. The big test was the area around our cat's litter box. The vacuum we replaced would do okay picking up stray litter, but when we turned it off some of it would drop back out the front, and we would have to make a second pass. I was thrilled to see the Blade+ hold on to what was picked up with none of it returning. My only complaint is that it's really hard to lean the vacuum against something if you need to stop and move something. It's top-heavy and swivels easily, so it wants to fall down. Fortunately it comes with a neat wall-hanger for storage, but you will need to get used to laying it down when working with it, or risk having it fall over onto something, So far battery life seems very good, although we haven't done any longer jobs with it. Obviously you would probably want to use a full size vacuum for full rooms, as stick-style vacuums are really for smaller touch-up jobs and spills anyway. Based on performance and versatility, I would highly recommend adding the Blade+ to your cleaning arsenal!

Right out of the box, I was liking the look and feel of the Hoover Blade+. Assembly is easy, the array of cleaning attachments is impressive, and there are two batteries. Having experience with other cordless vacuums, installing/uninstalling a battery the Blade+ is the easiest of all. Also, the assembled device is not heavy, so it’s easy to lift/carry/use. Anxious to see if actual operation would be as easy as getting it set up, I popped in a battery and turned it on. Trying it on hard flooring is like driving a sports car, the vac takes off as if it were self-propelled. Maneuverability is like having power steering. It’s so responsive, you can get the cleaning head moving in almost any direction with just using wrist action. First impression was “wow.” Sold on hard floor cleaning, I tried it on carpet; and liking the vac became loving. Cleaning and “combing” of the carpet is great. I have an older vac that does a good job, but the Hoover is taking over. Regardless of the great job it does on open floors, one of the best features is the cleaning head and overall product design allows you to clean under furniture. Got dust bunnies under the bed, no worries. The Blade can get under there and suck them up! The one thing I don’t like is the Blade doesn’t fold or stand on its own for storage. That said, Hoover does include a wall mount for those who might want to hang it. In any event, that does not take away anything from the vac’s great performance. Absolutely, I do recommend the Blade+.

    Hoover Better Than A Dyson

Hoover battery powered vacuum cleaner better than a Dyson: not only is the Hoover more affordable, but it is an all around better vacuum than the Dyson: it is more powerful, the Hoover picking up debris our Dyson doesn't, and the Hoover cleaning surfaces that our Dyson wouldn't like kitchen pads and our patio mat. Additionally whereas the Dyson's charging unit has to be mounted to a wall and the Dyson vacuum cleaner hung on that wall mount to charge it; the Hoover vacuum comes with two detachable batteries that are charged in the supplied single battery charger. So wherein when the Dyson runs out of power you have to stop cleaning and wait for it to recharge, with the Hoover you just replace the dead battery with a fully charged battery and keep on cleaning. The Hoover battery charger charges its battery not only faster than the Dyson and in less time than it takes to use up the fresh battery, but the Hoover's battery lasts longer than the Dyson's battery. The Hoover's debris canister holds more than the Dyson's does, and with the Dyson you have to hold the whole vacuum cleaner over the garbage pale to empty the debris canister but with the Hoover the debris canister quickly and easily snaps off so you can hold it partially inside of the garbage pale while emptying it so as to prevent flying dust etc. etc.. In ever way the Hoover is a superior cordless vacuum cleaner compared to the much more expensive Dyson.

This one power cordless system works perfectly without any issues. You get 3 tools crevice tool, dusting tool and upholstery tool. I used crevice and dusting tool both are very nice and do the job. What i liked most in it is removable hand pipe which connect top engine and bottom powerful sucker, this is important because if you want to do dusting i do not want to keep that long handle in the middle, instead i can connect top motor part directly to dusting tool so that i can reach all the spots to clean. it has different modes, works perfectly both on carpet and on floor. You will get wall mount with it. Batteries and charger also included. I really liked it, Worth for the price. btw - Maintenance is very easily, Dirt cup comes off which is good. I did not notice any leaks which is good. Installation is very easy. It has glowing light on the bottom which is cool !, You will know the battery status so it is good and important to know. So far battery performance is good. I will recommend this product to my friends and family.

Very powerful, just be glad they gave you two batteries :-) It has multiple power settings, but I'm never one to just run it on "Eco" mode - give me the max setting all the time! Batteries last maybe 20 minutes each while on this setting, but it REALLY pulls in all the dirt. I love the design of the dirt container - I can take it out of the vac and out to the trash without taking the entire unit with me! Get yourself a dual battery charging dock - definitely nice to have both batteries charged , and it charges them faster! I'll be recommending this unit to a few folks who are looking for a vaccum - great unit!

Looks just like the picture. Comes packaged in an vacuum pac that requires a good pair of scissors or a sharp knife to open! After that what's to say, you mount it where you want, plug it in, put a couple of ONE PWR batteries in it and it does the rest. Fast charges one battery at a time fairly quickly. Good product that works with OnePwr batteries.

This vacuum has been in the repair shop at least twice due to the spinner thing needing not working. Also the extra batter it came with died and will no longer charge or hold a charge. The other battery is fine. Makes no sense. What a waste to just throw it away and bad for environment. Ironically, the exact same thing happened to the model we bought my mom shortly after not knowing what would happen. She's had her vacuum one year less than us and it also has had to be repaired and the spare battery died as well. Bad luck? More like bad product with NO recourse.

I had a Shark Navigator before this vacuum and I LOVED it. The Shark didn't stay upright well enough, so this is a great replacement. After having this vacuum for long enough to review, it's a keeper. Well built and easy to use. I love that it's cordless. No more gathering cords!

    trash after 1-2 uses

I BOUGHT TWO FROM TWO DIFFERENT SELLERS. BOTH ARE TRASH AS THE BRUSH STOPPED SPINNING AND AUTO SHUTS OFF THE MACHINE. I bought a second one because I figured the first one was just a bad one but they all are garbage. 1 stopped working after first use and the second after 2 USES!! THATS IT! Hoover refuses to manufacture a vacuum that will work for longer than a month. They refuse to refund or replace when it’s clearly a major manufacturer flop. Absolute hot trash! Do yourself a favor and get another brand of vacuum because Hoover no longer makes quality parts. Good luck getting ahold of someone. Hilariously poor design.

DO NOT BUY THIS! The batteries FAIL.

This is an ammendment to my previous review. The batteries actually fail. Constantly. I don't know if it is the batteries, the two-battery charger (part of a package) or the vacuum itself that is defective, but I have had FIVE batteries fail on me. I had one battery die first, and Hoover sent a replacement. Then I had BOTH batteries failed so they sent two more replacements. Those died, so they sent over two brand-new 4.0A models (supposedly an improvement). Those just died. So, yeah, unless you are prepared to constantly buy new batteries or deal with customer service all of the time, just pass on this. How to tell if your battery is permanently dead: press the button on the battery to check the charge level. If you see "on-off-on-off" then your battery is garbage.
