It is without a doubt the best vacuum I've ever had. It has a lot more power and suction than I expected. The length of the hose could be longer for high reaching areas, but overall, it's very impressive. It's also not nearly as noisy as I expected.

Overall good vacuum with strong suction. Automatic Cord retraction lever a good feature as well as bagless. I had a problem with the on/off switch. It got stuck on the ON position which rerquired a few hard presses to turn OFF. I had to disassemble the vacuum and readjust spring on the switch. It works fine now.

Great value for the money. Does a decent job on carpet. Easy to empty.

I bought this vacuum not to long ago and it has the most suction power out of any other vacuum i have owned when i vacuumed my room my girlfriend even said it feels better and cleaner. It picked up everything my older vacuum (which was twice as much money) left behind. Picked up everything my older vacuum left behind i was amazed. IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH HE MONEY!!!

On the plus side, this vacuum has an excellent suction power. It picks up unbelievable amount of dust. I absolutely love it. On the negative side, it's a bit heavy and the wand is too short. I will have to order an extra wand or two. It also needs a bare floor brush for those hard to reach places, since the vacuum won't fit under the sofas, beds, TV stand etc.

We brought one home and it worked great the first time. Unfortunately the second time we found the cord would only unwind from its coil halfway. We exchanged it for an identical one and that has worked great since. We were shocked at how much it picked up in just two rooms, showing just how badly our previous one was in need of replacement.

Excellent value and works well. Sometimes I have to go over a spot a few times to pick everything up but in general it works great and I love seeing how much dirt and cat hair is getting picked up. Emptying the cannister is easy so I don't mind having to do it frequently.

No i mean it really sucks ! I bought this vacuum after reading all the review's and also bought a Dyson at another retailer. I live on the beach with a cat and his litter box. After running the Dyson through the Condo I then took the Hoover for a spin. Well guess what the Dyson is being returned because the Hoover had a 1/4 "bin" full of sand and litter "cast off" after the Dyson was done. Some of the reviews did not like the quality "cheap plastic" etc. The Dyson won there but the over all performance was excellent. As far as attachments go yes the hose is a little short but i don't have stairs so that is not really a concern. The power cord is located on the lower end of the vacuum but a quick wrap around the upholstery attachment took care of that. Over all the $109.00 VS $399.00 vacuum won ! And for those of you that did not get past the heading to bad gotta read the whole review before jumping to the next one.

This vacuum has excellent suction. Love that it's bagless, I was hesitant to switch to bagless but I'm so glad that I did! The retractable cord is super convenient.

This is a great vacuum for the price. We have two cats and a house guest (dog) - this vacuum pics up pet hair and everything else very well. It is light enough to be carried back and forth to the second floor and it is easy and quick to change to the attachments, which work great, the filter is easy to clean as well. The only concern I have is that the cord gets very hot, especially when using the attachments. If I vacuum for a long time, I turn it off and let it cool down for a little bit. Other than that - no complaints at all. Great value!

My daughter came over with hers and I was wowed by the amount of dirt and dog hair it pulled up. I didn't really think my carpet was that dirty. I was able to get it at a great price at Christmas so this was a Christmas present to myself. I have not been disappointed with the way it cleans easily from carpet to tile. It would be perfect if it had a little bit shorter front end to go under my counters in the kitchen. I love it and highly recommend it. Actually I have to my friends and at least one of them has recently purchased one for themselves.

The vacuum is lightweight, picks up wonderfully, has a retractable cord so no more winding and falling off. Easy to empty. Love it.

Compared to all of the high priced vacuums this is an excellent vacuum for the money. I really like the suction and the self wind cord.

Saw it was top rated in Consumer Reports and not expensive. Rated high for pet hair so with multiple cats n dogs thought we would try it. Just for fun ran our Oreck upright first then the Hoover--couldn't believe how much more it picked up!

Great product, I am glad we got it. The suction power is so strong it sucked up my sons shirt... so be careful. It is a good vacuum. It would be nice when your done if you didn't have to use your hand to pull out the dirt, but all in all it is a good vacuum.

The best vacuum cleaner I have ever had. I had 10 or more so far. Never had one that is so easy to use and that cleans so well. Power button is on the handle which makes it easy to use. I love the cable retraction feature. Cable length is more than generous, and with am easy step it retracts easily back into its box under the bagless container. Hepa filter is washable, which is another great feature. The bagless container is somewhat hard to put back in its slot....

I bought this vacuum about 2 months ago. At first it seemed like a really good vacuum but after about a month I noticed when I used the attachments there wasn't enough suction in the hose to pick anything up. When I put my hand up to the hose there seemed to be suction but when I used the attachments it didn't pick anything up, and when I used the stair attachment there wasn't enough suction to make the rollers spin. I took it to the store and she said she had the same vacuum in the back, so she took the stair attachment to check it and said it worked fine. But when I used it on my vacuum it didn't work which means it's the vacuum, not the attachment. Since it was over 30 days she said I would have to call Hoover for repairs. I got home and called Hoover and they said they would send a replacement stair attachment but that won't do any good since it's the vacuum. I took it apart and checked for clogs and there was nothing. Very frustrating. Might try to take it back again and explain the problem otherwise will have to deal with Hoover again.

Been researching vacuums for a while now. Was at Best Buy for a different reason and decided to look at vacuums. This particular one grabbed my attention for it's price and size. The customer service rep got the display model down and let us try it out. It seemed acceptable so we decided to purchase. Took a while for them to find one, but successfully did. I've only had it about a month but have been very happy with it so far. It has great suction power and is reasonably quiet. We have two cats and it does very well picking up the hair. It's pretty easy to empty the basket. Overall, happy with purchase. Great price too!

Although the suction on this machine is way better than I expected, I've had to replace the belt within the first week of owning it. This is not an easy task as you really have to work hard to get that belt to stretch to make it fit. Now, the tunnel has stopped spinning. It's clumsy to use at times as the attachments keep falling off when just regular vacumming. When using the attachments, the hose does not stretch very far at all. I have to lift the vacuum onto each step as I'm using it as the hose just won't reach.
