I love my Hoover WindTunnel vacuum. The cord rewind is awesome. (it did take a few vacuums to find out that it had a cord clip on the handle) The transition between floor and hand held is as easy as a push of a button. I really like that this vacuum has a washable filter and an indicator that tells you when the filter needs cleaned. I have 3 dogs and it picks up their hair great. The lond cord is wonderful and I can finally sweep my whole living room with out having to switch outlets. Overall I love my Hoover and would recommend it to anyone.

My wife just loves this vaccuum. We bought it to replace a 15 yr old Hoover that died. This one is lighter, quieter and sooooo much easier to empty. The old one was also bagless, but a real pain to empty. This one is simple as can be. Love the retractable cord!! Easy to get to the belt. The little handle tool also has rollers in it for better sweeping.

I spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews on this before purchasing b/c I was so scared of being disappointed and going through the hassle of returning such a clunky item, but I am totally happy with this product! It was a cinch to put together, and I could not believe how much this picked up from my area rug which I cleaned daily with a lighter vacuum. This is very lightweight and you can use your foot to retract the cord which is a great feature. I was also surprised to find that the attachments have just as much power as the main unit. I use the extension piece for my fan blades and it works great! I'm very impressed and would definately recommend this! So would my 2 yr old who insists on taking the nozzle piece EVERYWHERE :)

I read a lot of reviews before I bought this vacuum and people seem to love this vacuum a lot more than other vacuums for the same price. I Love the washable filter element and the auto cord retractor. Call me lazy but I think winding up the cord and dragging it around is the worst part of vacuuming, The cord retractor solves that, I don't mind vacuuming anymore! Works great on my hard woods, tile, and carpet. hose and extensions work good and great suction.

This vacuum is definitely worth the money. It has surprisingly good suction and seems to clean the carpet very well. I have a rough collie (long hair and constant shedding); this vacuum has no trouble with the hair or other dirt. It works well on hard-surface floors, too, sucking up the dirt rather than scattering it around. One minor drawback is that you can't turn off the carpet brush. It's not a problem on hard floors, but while you're using the hose and attachments, the brush continues to spin; it can damage carpet if it's left too long in one place. Otherwise, we've been very pleased with it.

After lot of research, I bought this vacuum and it didn't disappoint me. I had it almost two months and it works great. Pros: Light weight, good suction, low noise and washable filter Con: Since this is light weight, falls down when hose is pulled while using turbo brush.

Like many, I'd been eying the Dyson line for quite a while. But, living in a relatively small apartment, I just couldn't justify the costs. I ended up doing some research into the Hoover Wind Tunnel. The reviews and commercials all appealed to me, so I waited for a sale price. After bringing it home and using it, I would've paid the full MSRP for this machine! I've got hardwood floors, some vinyl tile, some ceramic tile and some low-pile area rugs. Each area was nothing less than a pleasure to clean. This vacuum has great suction, and I love that I can see into the roller brush area to find any tangles before they become a bigger problem. The attachments are all great - the hose is tightly coiled, and requires a tiny bit more pull than my previous machines - but the benefit of that is that it retains its shape and makes it quite a bit easier to put everything back in its proper place. The dirt cup couldn't be simpler to empty - and has (2) options to do so. Also, it's not any louder than any of my other vacuums have been. Last, but certainly not least, the generous cord length combined with the cord-rewind give me enough freedom to clean multiple areas without having to run around looking for an outlet. My only regret is that I didn't buy this vacuum sooner. Thank you, Hoover!

I have had this for about a year now and it's an amazing vaccuum for the price. It has picked up so much dirt and dog hair - I am astoudned every time I empty it. I LOVE the cord rewind feature and it's fairly light and feels every lighter when you use it.

I looove all the attachments, the automatic cord, and how powerful the suction is! I am completely in love with this vacuum! I have only had it about two weeks, but even if something happens to in within the next two years luckily I got the Best Buy protection plan so I can get a brand new vacuum! Positively wonderful vacuum! Ohh also I love the dirt thing, it is bag-less and very easy to empty! Unlike other past vacuums this one doesn't seem to be having any dirt or air coming out of the sides either! It is also so convenient how you can see the belt so you know it is working! I vacuum twice a day now! One last thing, green is my absolute favorite color and this vacuum is beautiful! :) Thanks bestbuy!

I purchased this vacuum last week and this is 2nd vacuum that I purchased in my life and I can say it was better then the 1st vacuum and worth the money........It was @ a great price, It's very powerful, easy to use, and I love the the cord rewind part. I also love the fact of being able to wash the filters what a GREAT idea!!! the only thing I wish is that it came in PINK.... But I will highly recommend this..

I bought the same model without the cord rewind. The cord rewind feature takes up about 1/2 the volumn of the dirt receptacle compared to the one I bought. Only did this because my BB was out of stock and didn't feel like driving across town to another BB. It's identical without the rewind. Works like a charm. The cord could be longer and the flexible hose is too short. Functions better than expected with those few quirks. Does not have a brush roll shutoff when using the attachments. Did not notice it throwing stuff on bare floors as other reviewers have said. When the canister is removed for cleaning, putting it back in and getting the locking feature to work required a little bit of extra pressure to get it to lock properly. No big deal. It's feather light compared to my old self propelled Hoover. It was a tank. Great suction when using the attachments. It has an indicator (green/red# that shows when maintenance is needed and it started showing a bit of red after the first use. That just shows me how ineffective my old Hoover was. I was horrified at what it pulled out of my carpets. No funky smells #pet hair) like the old Hoover. Did notice that other models have a carbon filter but this does not. The brush attachment has brushes that are pretty stiff, could possible cause minor scratches on some surfaces. And it's QUIET. Pretty impressed for 100 bills!

I just bought this vaccum last night. It was easy to assemble and once I fired it up, I ended up vacuuming the entire house. Needless to say it made the wife happy, but I was so impressed with how it made the carpet look and what it was sucking up from the carpet. I figured the entire house could use a good cleaning. I ran it on my tile floors and it did a good job, but I do wish I could turn off the brushes on my tile floor only to keep it from rubbing and possibly scratching the floor. For the price, and the additional $20 to extend the warranty to four years, you really cannot go wrong. Our last vaccum only lasted two years.

We have lots of pets and I wanted a second, lightweight vacuum for our multi-level home. This vacuum has good suction and cleans very well. The hose pops on and off easily for those tough to reach corners. Having the button for the chord rewind on the opposite of the vacuum from the actual chord is somewhat awkard. It is difficult to hold and guide the chord while reaching around to the other side with your hand or foot to push the button. It does great picking up pet hair but the BIG negative is the fact that the fur gets stuck in the canister and it is very difficult to get it out. I actually tied an old toothbrush to the handle so I would always have something with me to dig the fur out with. If you do not have pets and do not have to contend with fur in the canister, this would be a great vacuum. If you have pets, I would keep looking.

Was told by our housekeeper that our old vacuum (Hoover) was dying, time for new one. So, I started investigating what's out there. Came close to buying one of the expensive ones (Dyson or Oreck) but decided to go with this one, since the price was right and reviews were good. Boy am I glad we did. It's basically a new/improved version of what we had, and I must tell you that Hoover did it right: the weight is good, the wind-up power cord is great, the dirt container removal is a huge improvement over the old one, the washable filter is great and it's good that you can change the belt and/or remove the brush roller bar w/o needing a screw driver. Hard to believe a Dyson/Oreck at 2 or 3 times the price could be much better... Glad we bought it!

Got a cheaper vacuum a few months ago and unfortunately my daughter sucked the cord up and sparks flew everywhere. Purchased this to vacuum up the loads of dog hair off the floors. Please note we do not have carpet, so this review is for hard floors only. I love that it has a place for all the accessories. I have always had a vacuum that had the accessories in odd places and they would never stay put. I am loving the auto rewind of the cord. Nice feature. Removing the container and emptying it was a breeze. It appears that it will be easy to clean. It is a nice height and weight. Not too heavy and not too light. I recommend this for no carpets or low pile carpets.

So far I am very pleased with my purchase. It has great suction and seems to pick up all my pet hair - which is what I hoped for. I love the retractable cord too and the fact that's it's not too heavy. I've had it for a few weeks now and hope it continues to be awesome.

I bought this vacuum based on Consumer Reports top rating and the reasonable price. I am happy with the purchase but this is not a heavy duty vacuum. Good feature, decent tools, good performance and a great price. I have another Hoover that is a couple of years old that cost me considerably more and is much sturdier than this model, but it is also heavier. I could buy two of these for the price of the other Hoover and keep one on each floor of my house. Good value!

Found a site on the internet that reviews vacuums and this was the one ranked under the expensive Dysons. Because the site was detailed I trusted it. This vaccum is amazing to the point I actually took the time to write this. The suction power is the most important and it is quite powerful. Its about as strong as a small wetvac. I was using a $50 cheapo Dirt Devil for my last 2 apartments and it wasnt getting the job done. The best way of thinking about it is to remember how the carpet looked when you first move into a new apartment after the cleaning guys have been in there from the last tenant. THIS vacuum makes it look just like that. It makes the fibers stand up on end. The size is a LOT smaller than the photos would have you believe. Its even smaller than the cheapo Dirt Devils that are out around this time for college back to school AND lighter. The fact that its small and powerful is a steal. Its also easy to dump the trash container its just a press button release for it. Anyway I bought this and did my entire apartment by moving EVERYTHING off the carpet, then spraying with vinegar then vaccuming again the next day. LIKE NEW CARPET. The cord retraction is very strong too you dont have to guide it with the other hand. Try to catch it on sale and compare it to other vacuums yourself...

This Hoover is hundreds less than some of the new/popular models but rates higher with CR. Performance is great, features are perfect, easy to empty, and you do not lose suction when using wand tools.

GREAT vacuum for the money! (Bought it after a miserable experience with a new "Eureka")...Suction is powerful and picks up everything...(Thank Goodness the cat "hides"...lol)...It really is worth a few extra $$ to go with this vacuum rather than go with a less expensive machine and wonder why you did...Pay the $40 dollars more and you won't be disappointed...Great with hair of any sort, dust, cat litter, etc. I like it because you don't have to deal with a "run over cord" or have to replace filter...It's a good machine for the money...
