This was a gift for my grandson who had requested it. He was a very Happy guy! And Nana was Happy, too! To get the game for him on time.

This is hands down arguably the best PS5 game to date. Horizon Zero Dawn on the PS4 was an amazing game but Forbidden West takes it to the next level. The story of the game is well written the dialogue is fascinating. The graphics are next gen Guerilla Games really did awesome job with this game. Awesome game i cant say it enough

Melee combat is boring. Story is boring. Dialogue is cringe. The voice acting and voice animations are lame.

Horizon Zero Dawn was one of my all-time favorite games- it’s #11 on my all-time list. But I just can’t say the same about Forbidden West. The graphics are great, the machines look really good, and there’s better movement mechanics. But the gameplay & story are just too boring and repetitive. There’s a basic formula. Ride quite a way to a destination- which is either a village or a cave. At the village you just talk to the chiefs and get permission to go further west. In the caves you just find relics of the past civilization. There’s climbing, some challenges, and some puzzles. By about 9 hours in I just wanted to stop playing because it was so repetitive. I waited 5 years for this sequel and thought it would be great. I’d say it’s just OK at maybe a 6/10 or 3/5. I definitely wish I didn’t spend the extra money on the Special Edition.

Beautiful and fun game. Preforms great on ps5. The story overall is interesting. But I just could not get myself to care about any of the characters. I liked the first one more, probably because I wasnt expecting it. This was just more horizon. Still enjoyed the game though.

Great game. Superb graphics, lots of action with an incredibly detailed and extensive open world.

PS5 gives this game justice. Great graphics and short clips. Takes a step back on modifying your gear compared to Horizon Zero Dawn. I love it and my 11 year old loves it. She does have extra vocabulary(bad words) compared to Zero Dawn so that surprised me and the family. GOW drops the F bomb so Forbidden West is not there. Great game. This is why I purchased the PS5, to go on an adventure like this.

Haven't even bought it yet and I am hyped writing a review lol Highly recommend playing Horizon Zero Dawn (The first of the series) before you start this one if you care about understanding the storyline and how everything came to be what it is in Forbidden West. Or watch the story on youtube or something maybe if you care for it. Happy gaming!

After taking 60 hours of my life, I can say that this game is good, but imperfect. The Combat and Weapon system has seen a major improvement from the first one. The characters are well written, and this game made me feel pain from that character death. My only complaint is that I unknowningly wasted $10 more dollars on the PS5 exclusive version. A strong addition to the lineup of Playstation Exclusives, this gets the title of second best game of the year. The first goes to Stray, I love that kitty cat game.

Aside from the amazing visuals, the combat play is AWFUL. The main character is unbelievably slow, making is so difficult to fight enemies. I got to the final boss and couldn’t finish it because the character moved so slow. The NPCs don’t help when fighting enemies, either. Not a fan. Although the combat is totally different in Hogwarts Legacy, it’s much quicker and more responsive than HFW.

Game is very good, graphics are beautiful and gameplay is so fun. This game is definitely one of the best and I will always know it (like the first one) the best game to come out before Elden Ring XD

If you like Horizon Zero Dawn you will absolutely love Forbidden West. One of the best and most beautiful PS5 games that I have played.
