Quality control problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This model is sold needing an electric cord (who doesn't install an electric cord these days?!) and in addition Hotpoint are too cheap to install an oven window or a drawer (but yet the picture looks as if there were a drawer). The Hotpoint ranges I have had tend to have problems; two of them had wonky thermostats and were 100 degrees OFF of the temperature you set, one of them the burners fell out all the time and the oven door wasn't "sealed" correctly so that hot air came up through the gap while the oven was on, hot enough that you had to use oven mitts to touch the burner controls even briefly. They are nice when they work, but you never know if you are going to get a model that works.
