Purchased an identical replacement and had the same defect.

In the 2 years I wasn’t impress with it sometimes it didn’t get all the dishes clean. I would’ve bought the extended warranty, but it was too high. I guess that’s what I get for buying cheap dishwasher.

It's very light and super quiet. I'm a night owl so I run it in the middle of the night. Doesn't disturb anyone in my home. Easy to use and works very well.

All i had to do was turn it on and away it went...washing away. I opened once it was done and viola, they were clean and dry. I put them things in the cabinet until we do it over again.

Does not get dishes clean, especially glassware, even on heavy wash setting. Door on detergent dispenser sometimes fails to open. A total waste of money.

Nor did anyone call or text. After waiting ALL DAY I called the 800 number only to find out they can not make it today and need to reschedule. I lost a day of work for this and it was scheduled well in advance. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED

It has only one button and the only option you can do is heavy or normal wash. Even if you don't want to have heat dry, you can not do that unless you manually stop the cycle in the middle, and no timed wash, no water temperature control, etc. Maybe good for completely new person who never used dishwasher before, or people who don't want any complicated controls. It is not worth the money. I am really surprised that this is not the cheapest among all dishwasher. There are many other brands and other models from Hotpoint that have much better function with cheaper price.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback on this model. User experiences with our products matter to us, so we appreciate you taking the time to share. According to the online Owner's Manual, the Everyday Wash cycle takes approximately 1 hr. and 20 minutes. This cycle time does not include the dry portion of the cycle. If you don't want to utilize heated dry, press and hold the Start pad for 3 seconds to cancel the cycle. We would then recommend opening the door to allow the excess steam to escape and enable the dish load to air dry. -Vikki@GEAppliances
