Beautiful steelbook. Item was delivered fast and safely. I love it. I got it for amazing price from Bestbuy through third party seller GRUV they were amazing too!

The 4K blu-rays look great, when they work... I am returning my copy because my 3rd disc was defective/damaged. As you can see in the photos, this scene got seriously messed up. My 2nd disc also had some skipping issues in the scene after Alicent and Larys have their private dinner on one of my blu-ray players. I believe discs 2 & 3 are BD100 discs which apparently some players do not play well with. They should have just used regular 4K blu-rays for the episodes, and then loaded all the extras (which are very lacking by the way...) on its own disc. The other issue is that HBO decided to cheap out on the packaging. The steelbook is supposed to be a more premium packaging, but honestly I might just get the regular version after my return clears. In the steelbook, all 4 regular blu-rays are stacked on top of each other on the left side, and on the right side all of the 4K discs are stacked on top of each other, so there is a much higher risk of scratching. Disc 3 with the video issues I experienced in attached pics had a scratch on it before I even played the disc (I made sure to check because distributors like to be cheap and stack discs on each other which makes damage much more likely) I was hoping the scratch would not actually affect playback, but it clearly did. It sucks because other than a few disc defects, the show looks so much better on disc than it does streaming. Wow, what a difference with the episode "Driftmark" is. It was so dark and flat looking on streaming, and while I still don't love the color grading, it is MUCH clearer on disc due to uncompressed HDR. This is definitely the definitive way to watch the show, it's just a shame HBO decided to try and save a few nickels and cheaped out on the packaging at the expense of the customer. Also, a slightly minor gripe--the circle part that actually holds the discs is VERY snug. If you purchase a lot of physical media, you know what I'm talking about. Especially the first time taking out a disc, it felt like I was going to snap my disc... I don't understand how manufacturers are still making these death grip holders. CD/DVD/Blu-rays have been around forever. Please fix this issue...

Love it, heavy , steel feeling and strong. Tiny scratches at the top but not distracting. Hope to get them individually by season. Love it as much as Dune steel book

Didn't want to get too excited about this show, after the ending to game of thrones. But to my surprise this show was amazing. Highly recommend.

I exchanged this twice and every time the third disc malfunctioned. Clearly an issue with the master copy when these were made. Also one of the case latches broke off immediately so poor quality case as well. Save your money and get the regular version. And test the discs before the return window closes.

Steelbook is beautiful and the 4K quality is top notch.

At ifrst it drags a little but once you start seeing the mischief and A#% holery that goes on, you begin to love it. The last episode is the best, makes you wanna see more as game of thronea did. The dragons look great and the scenery is exceptional as to be expected. Season 2 is gonna rock.

Excellent series and can’t wait until season two. The characters, the action, screenplay, sounds, CGI, etc are all top quality. Total package is worth the price.

I LOVED IT! BEAUTIFUL STEELBOOK SET NOW I JUST WISH SEASON 2 WOULD AIR ON TV AND I COULD GET THAT AS WELL.

House of the Dragon: The Complete First Season has a dynamite Dolby Atmos track that starts delivering overhead effects from the get go with some nice aerial maneuvers featuring one of the ten dragons the Targaryens have at their beck and call. Several episodes exploit the dragons (especially once Daemon decides to take matters into his own hands, so to speak), and those sequences, along with the expected battles, often offer swirling arrays of not just side and rear channel engagement, but fun and immersive Atmos effects. Another top flight score by Ramin Djawadi also offers beautifully burnished orchestral cues which fill the surround channels beautifully. Dialogue is rendered cleanly and clearly throughout, and the sound design, which can be almost overwhelmingly layered in its most frenetic moments, maintains an admirably apt prioritization, meaning it's always easy to catch the "important" bits. Optional subtitles in various languages are available (and there are some brief forced subtitles for some "foreign language" moments).

Can’t wait for season 2! Great 4k reference video for my G3!
