It was fun for about a month and a half two months wrote it inside the house. Majority of the time once or twice outside and decent sunny weather, but now only spends on one tire not worth the money does not last very long and is not very durable.

Manufacture date on the bottom of the hoverboard is 2021, and we just got it in 2023, wonder why the battery died... My son enjoys this. This also helps him with balancing. The battery last long as well. We use it indoor and outdoor (side walk)

This is not good quality at all. Spend the extra money. The thing doesn't even stay charged for 5 minutes and in the short periods of time that my daughter has gotten to write it, it has already split apart. My daughter is way under the weight limit.

The Hover-1 Blast is the third hoverboard I picked up for my family to use around the farm. With the lower weight rating and speed rating, this board is a good fit for the smaller riders, and can give them the confidence needed to move up to the faster boards. In the box is the hoverboard, charging cable with indicator light, and safety manual. Setup is simple plug, charge, and play. My initial impression is that the Blast wins the aesthetics competition, as the build is solid black, with sleek lines and foot pads that blend into the standing platform. The LED lighting on the front and wheels makes it easy to see the board in the dark, but also adds in a fun aspect to riding in the evening. There are two green lights on the foot surface, one is a power indicator, the second light shows that the motors are active due to weight being applied to the foot pad. See photo for example of light indicators. The motors will not engage until the foot pad is stepped on. As far as riding goes, this board is a solid entry level board. I found that the self balancing of this board is lacking in comparison with my other Hover 1 board, or my off road board, but on par with the entry level features. The teens in my house found this board to be sporty, but also required more effort to balance and ride. The board does best on level ground, my 85 lb tween was able to ride it up a 5% grade, but it could not achieve top speed, and bobbled a bit when transitioning between asphalt and concrete or areas where grass grew over the driveway. I am at the weight limit of this board and could not get the board up the same hill. I think the board is missing the beginner brake, a feature where the hoverboard stops moving when someone steps / falls off. This makes riding on hills a bit of a challenge, but the board only weighs 15 lbs, so not difficult for a younger rider to grab it and carry it back to a flat surface. Overall, this board is great for determining if hoverboards are something a smaller rider would enjoy. It's challenging enough, and fast enough, to prepare a rider for a step up larger board, but has enough features to still be fun to ride for quite some time after mastering staying on.

Within a month of using it, the center piece started physically separating. Hover-1 took 1+ month to get back after opening a support ticket that this is not covered. This is a highly defective product. My kids are < 70 lbs and its worthless now. BUYER BEWARE!

Solid “hoverboard” for the kids. It’s about the size of a regular size board, but has a max weight of 160lbs and a manageable max speed of 7mph. The black is a bit plain looking, but it’s ripe for sticker personalization and I love how the wheels light up. My nephew is still getting the hang of it, but it seems to steer, balance, and track well. My favorite part of the Hover-1 though is the UL rated sticker on the bottom. I had a few of these boards in the early days, but got rid of all of them because the batteries weren’t safe. Thankfully, these are, which is prominently advertised and for good reason. However, while the battery is safe now, I do wish it lasted longer. It’s rated for a 3 mile range, but it seems much less than that. It hasn’t left our carpeted “training area” yet though, so it could just be how we’re using it. The body is fairly well built and should be able to take some bumps. The tires are solid, but have a nice rubber grip tread, and the foot pads are rubber with good grip as well. Outside of wanting longer battery life, my nephew absolutely loves this board and is happy to join the cool kids in the neighborhood.

Hoverboards have been very intimidating given the bad rap by the countless internet videos showing folks in very unflattering and compromising situations. So the natural hesitation of bringing one home for myself and my children is warranted, but the reality is if you take your time and get the mechanics down, it's one heck of a fun time! The Hover1 Blast has taught me and my family that hoverboards can be fun and safe. Please wear your helmet and don't look down! The Blast is one of Hover1's more entry level hoverboards offered. It is very much catered for the younger community; we're talking teenagers and the like due to its 160# weight limit. It's very lightweight to carry around at 15# and has pretty good construction all around. The Blast is outfitted with LED front lights as well as wheel lights. With dual 160W motors, the Blast feels very quick once you get the hang of it. With a claimed range of 3 miles, that is plenty for anyone to get from point A to point B. We personally have not gone the distance, but we have enjoyed strolls around our neighborhood and have not had any issues with battery life. I would say that battery life will probably vary due to your weight, so the lighter you are the better battery life you'll get. Max speed quoted is 7mph, and when you're this close off the ground, it certainly feels like it. Operating the Blast is quite intimidating at first, but you'll begin to learn that the hoverboard doesn't really have a mind of its own. Finding your own center of gravity is the name of the game, and if you achieve this, riding the Blast almost becomes second-nature, like an extension to your own body. I feel like the Blast actually does more to help keep you upright as it reads your inputs. Operation is simple: lean a little forward and the Blast will move forward; lean back and it will move backward. If you bias your weight to one side, the hoverboard will begin to turn in the opposite direction. That's really all there is to it. As you get more comfortable, you'll be able to lean farther in either direction for more speed and turn more sharply. As I mentioned above, the Blast is a more entry-level offering at its price point and features. The aspect of the board that points this out clearly is the size of its tire. The Blast is made for smooth pavement, so strolls around the lawn or even practicing on carpet will give the Blast some trouble. Even simply clearing a threshold requires a bit of speed to make it over. The tires are not pneumatic so they don't give as much cushion or flex. An outdoor ride with some uneven pavement can be a bit unnerving, and we learned this pretty quickly riding around the neighborhood. Again, the Blast is more of a stepping stone into Hover1's more robust offerings if you're ready to go to the next level. For those of us who are getting started like my kids (and even myself!), the Blast is simply a blast to use.

Within three months of buying this item it started shorting out and over heating. We followed all instructions on charging and maintenance. Very annoyed.
