    My advice is never to use a lens without a protective filter. The ease of cleaning and the assurance that the front element won't get scratched-- except in the most extreme circumstances--are worth the cost. Hoya NXT filters are some of the best at maintaining a clear and flare-free image.

    I bought this product to protect my lens except tat it dose not do anything else if you aske me but the important is if you use this for an expensive lenses the its better to have good glass IN front that glass.

    Lenses for a camera are like cold. They scratch and they are expensive to replace. Get a UV Lens filter to protect your camera! It will also help get rid of UV light which can ruin a picture.

    This is a great filter to have on any lens, it protects your expensive glass and your sensor from strong uv rays. You can purchase more expensive filters from camera stores but I liked the convenience of being able to pick this one up locally.

    I highly recommend getting a UV filter to provide protection for your dslr lenses. The cost of the UV filter is a lot easier to take than having to replace a complete lens.

    This is a high quality filter at a good price. I wouldn’t use for pro glass ... but just fine for a lens in the $500-$900 range.

    I got this filter along with my 20mm lens. I have tried multiple before and after shots, and I am not finding any differences, so it should serve the purpose of protecting the front elements, which is what exactly I was looking for.

    This is a good lens protector as it does interfere with your image. But it does help with UV haze affect in image. Fits well and feels solid.
