This machine is just what my elderly mom needed to simply surf the net , check her emails, pay occasional bills and order items online.

I love my new Chromebook. I was a little worried about its performance because of the low specs, but it out performs my expectations by a mile. I usually have google docs, sheets, keep, and several Web tabs open simultaneously and have not experienced any lag. I like that I can even cast video to my Insignia Roku TV. I don't think I can ever go back to a windows machine, Chromebook is AWESOME!

Good beginners laptop for middle school student. Great to start off with for presentations and school work.

He loves it. 8 years old and doing homework on it. He's in third grade and is able to access his math on the computer instead of doing it on paper adding a further dimension to doing his work.

I originally bought this computer to do school work but it has turned out to be a great overall computer for the price.

the chrome is user friendly and gets what i need done with minimal mistakes..very forgiving chromebook.

I love my chromebook because it's perfect for what I needed for basic browsing on the Internet. However, it is more like a tablet pretending to be a laptop. I needed to create and edit my resume and knew I wanted to use a Word Document, but you cannot install software on this computer. So I had to create a Google Doc instead, which is actually fine because now all of the jobs I applied for allowed me to upload files from Google Drive and there were no issues with formatting. But if you are more traditionally used to hard storage and Word, this will take some getting used to. There is a place for a thumb drive, and you can still open and edit word docs, just cannot create them. Also, you will have to connect to a printer wirelessly, which was difficult with the older HP printer I own. The computer itself is super lightweight, while still having a large display and keyboard! I bought this as an open box item and have had great battery life and speed, which is probably due to not being able to store much on it at all and everything being saved through Google Drive.

This has been a great option for my ninth grade son. A laptop with a hard drive was out-of-my price point, but my son saves everything to Google Drive. My son is now an 11th grader and is still using this chromebook. It has all the functionality he needs.

We purchased this for my daughter. They use chromebooks at school so this was an easy to use device for her. She loves accessing youtube and all of the great google apps.

My sons school uses the chrome book, so I decided to pick one up for him at home, I have been impressed with how functional and vivid it is

Chromebooks are great for kids so there's no threat of viruses... My two boys use them for school work most of all and are very enexpensive!!! Get you for your kid(s)!!!!

My high school son needed a laptop & wanted something easy to transport. This Chromebook fits the bill! Works great for what he needs now!

purchased this as a defacto research machine for our kids, and it's wonderful. no worries about malware, the machine is snappy and responsive with good parental controls

My 12 year old daughter loves her chrome book. It works great for her to do her homework. She can login on her google docs and complete her assignment. Good investment.

This HP Chromebook works great for my high school son to use for homework & to take to school. Fast & efficient!

This is great. We bought this for our 13 year old daughter. She will use it for school and a little social media. She doesnt need anything fancy so this works well.

I'm an apple fan from way back. I'm not willing to spend $900-1300 on another apple computer. Realizing this Chrome has limited function, I felt it still fit what our family uses are for a home computer. My wife and I use our smart phones for most applications. But the rest of our family loves it and I would recommend it knowing it's limitations. Our kids use Chrome at school so they are very comfortable with it. With it having a solid state hard-drive makes everyone happy with its quick start up. So far so good!

My granddaughters loved these for their Christmas present. They will help them with their homework and they will be able to research projects with the chromebooks.
