I bought this as a budget laptop for the family (and especially my son in college) to use. It works basically okay. The battery only lasts a few hours with constant use. I took the laptop out of S Mode and installed Chrome to use as our Zoom video interface. Video and audio for Zoom would begin to stutter/lag after while and get progressively worse. This was addressed by going to Settings-> Apps->Video playback and switching to lower resolution. My son said Zoom works fine for one of his classes and with tolerable performance for the other two, i.e., it may pause occasionally for a few seconds and then go back to normal without getting progressively worse.

This is an easy to use no frills laptop. I got it for my younger child to use for school and it has been great. Compact and light weight. It is plenty responsive for the things we are using it for. Good value for the money.

I bought 2 laptops for both of my sons who are high school graduates. They needed something where they can be on live video meetings and do homework. They also use it to play games and watch videos on you tube. They are having so much fun exploring other fun things to do on their new laptops. This was a very nice gift to them so they can continue their education. They are very happy with this product.

Purchased this laptop for school and work use. I can only get 2 hrs of work done before I have to plug it in for charge. Can t have too many apps open cause the laptop would freeze. I’m having trouble in getting Geek Squad to check out my device for these problems, instead they are selling me another tech support subscription. The only good thing about this laptop is size.

Works as it should. Wish the keyboard lit up and had to upgrade the windows version but other than that it is user friendly and affordable.

My high school son like his laptop. He is able to do his online school and home work. Very easy to use and lightweight.

Love it its light long lasting battery fast i switched this for the chromebook so mich happier. Used it for online schooling for 9 months never had a problem with it still 2 years later works great

I needed an inexpensive laptop/notebook because I teach online college classes, and am anticipating surgery, where, for a few days at least, I will not be able to sit at my desk. Best Buy had this one on sale with free shipping, and it was a tax-free weekend. I was surprised how fast this little hp is. Lightweight, it's the first laptop I've bought without an optical drive (yes, I still like cds and dvds). The solid state hard drive is a great value and runs fast and smooth. It's not a powerhouse or gaming computer, but that's not what I needed. So far, this unit is exceeded my expectations. Recommended.

Needed a simple laptop for my parents so that we could stay in touch better bring this pandemic. It was easy for them to figure out and has made it possible fro us to share the holidays. A real bargan.

With schools doing so much via Zoom etc. a good quality computer for the right price is essential...especially since we have twin nieces in high school. We needed two computers for them to attend classes from home and this HP laptop was perfect. The girls really like them and that is a big part of the learning process. They already personalized them and can't wait each day to get on, study and learn. One is already writing her first book. We're happy! Good job HP.

I bought this computer for a colleague's kids, who were sharing a computer for school. The goal was to get a solid computer that would be useful to three kids under 14, for their school needs. I am not a fan of Windows-based computers (tried-and-true Mac user here), but this computer is working out well. No bells-and-whistles, it isn't beautiful, but it does what it is meant to do. It seems to be a good value for the money as well--I found it on sale.

Nice laptop for the money. Bought as a gift for my wife. She likes it and got it set up for what she needs it for in an hour or so. Overall we are satisfied with the unit.

I bought this laptop and it turned out pretty good. Camara is not great but the price was great. I haven't had any issues with it. It was a great buy.

I was looking for a budget friendly laptop that could help me do the basic things I was needing. To access the internet, do some online shopping and to pay the bills. So far I haven't had complains, it's met every expectation, it's small, portable. The battery life on it is decent, it starts up quickly. The only thing that took me by surprise is that the operating system by default is Microsoft Windows 10 (Safe Mode), it does limit the things you can do, and what you can download, so be aware. For the things that I need the laptop for I am not affected by this. Overall great little laptop!

Great laptop for basic use. Replaced my dads 10 year old laptop with this one and after a few days he’s grown to love it. Super easy to use and lightweight
