Thought this had a metal casing, but to my surprise this computer was constructed with cheap flimsy plastic. If you go with this make sure you get a case because I doubt it can withstand any sort of shock without breaking into pieces or becoming damaged beyond repair

I had purchased this laptop and it was a nightmare. Took all night to load my home screen and the lag between web browser pages reminded me of AOL disks. I'm not certain if this is for all of these laptops or if I just had a bad one.

This is a really great purchase in my opinion. In comparison to my older HP laptop, this is really fast and it has a ton of storage. I am a student so this works really well for a student. It's actually pretty light and the finish is really nice.

I thought I could use this laptop only to browse the internet and for emails. It's not even worthy of basic applications. I highly recommend against buying.

I bought this laptop on black friday deals. The screen resolution is very poor and the speaker sound cracks in even in low volume.

I've had this laptop since Nov of 2018. Never had any problems. I will be purchasing a new one this year due to low memory left but it still works fine. 6 years was good to me.

Met all the specs I was looking for and spot on with most reviews here. My only point of contention is that this laptop (and its famed SSD) is not doing me any favor when I work with Excel. I'm trying a simple copy paste of a data column from one to the next and it hangs for a good 5-10 seconds. (My 8GD ram HDD laptop works wayyy better at this!) Another problem is that it does not have a dual band WiFi, so you have to rely on a 2G signal (which is not a problem for me, it's pretty fast nevertheless). Apart from the above two gripes, the laptop is great. The touch is super responsive, lightweight, stylish (love the golden hue of the exterior) and serves a student or traveller well. If you're not a big Excel user, go for it!

This is an excellent budget laptop. The first thing that I did upon unboxing is install all the system and Windows updates and remove the minimal bloatware and unwanted apps that Windows installs with the update. I am very impressed with the performance of this laptop. This laptop can handle most all everyday tasks such as email, web surfing, and Microsoft office applications. Also this laptop can be used for some casual gaming. Now several times one may ask can you play games or certain gaming titles on this device? Then most people who respond will say No without any first hand knowledge. They base their assumptions on the specs of the device. I am not posting benchmarks or videos here there are plenty of those on the web and You Tube. However I have tried a few of my favorite Steam and Origin games on this laptop and they played quite well! The games that I have tried include Fallout New Vegas, Civilization VI, NBA 2K18 and I am even able to play Madden 19 PC on this laptop. All of the games ran reasonably well and also looked great despite the 1366x768 resolution. This is not a high end gaming laptop but for the price point it's a nice entry level laptop. The design is nice and astethically pleasing. It's light not too bulky and the SSD is a plus. I was also glad that the RAM and SSD are upgradable too many of these laptops in this class have soldered RAM and SSD components. The addition of USB C, two additional USB 3.1 ,HDMI port and LAN adapter was also a great addition to a laptop in this class. I will say that it would be great if you could charge the device using the USB C port but it is nice that it has it none the less. I upgraded my SSD and RAM last night and I am even more happier with the performance of this laptop. I upgraded the SSD to a WD Blue 3D NAND 1 TB SATA III M.2 2280 SSD and upgraded my memory to 16 GB Corsair DDR4 2400Mhz memory! I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone in the market for a nice entry level laptop!

I needed a new laptop for school and for the sale price of $300 this one was the best we found. Getting a Core processor, 8GB RAM, and a SSD at the sale price of $300 unheard of so it was a no-brainer to purchase it before it went back to it's regular price.

Great PC! FAST! Built well. This is just an overall nice computer. If your looking for something smaller and good for Internet, reading, papers this is the one! Not made for high end gaming but it will play card games and candy crush things like that easy.

This laptop has been working great for the last Five years.

This laptop was great for 2 years. My son was able to do light gaming and check his email. The only reason we changed laptops was due to durability. It is fine for basic task.
