I love the speed and I can multitask on it. I have many emails and sites open at the same time. And I work on my contracts also. No delay. I do not game . But I love the speed and I have enjoyed it and I still have it in S mode. I have had no issues from set up to installing what I want and loading my documents from my older computer .wifi pick up is great and I think it is a great computer . I have had it not quite a month and I use it everyday. It is very light also and I slip it in my book bag I carry every day to work and with me.Glad I went with this one.

I love this laptop. Multiple family members actually have this same laptop because of how reliable it is. It’s great for beginners and pros and the color is beautiful.

I really like the size of this pc. Similar to a surface laptop but has more features. 2 usb, 1 sd card slot, and a hdms port. The processor is a new i3. Only has 128gb ss drive but I have separate hard disk backup w/3tb. It has a touch screen. Only has 4gb ram but has 2 slots so I will be upgrading soon. I bought it on a deal of the day glad I did. So far so good.

We were on a business trip to Los Angeles and we had a laptop die. This was such an incredible deal. Supper light with a solid state HD and touch screen for $299. Works perfectly for the web applications we use. Obviously not a powerhouse workstation but it does exactly what we need for such a low price.

For the price, it's well-built and responsive. The touchscreen works well and overall a solid purchase at the significantly discounted sale price. At full price, it's still one of the cheapest touchscreens on the market but has somewhat underwhelming specs. Downfall: was unable to get the USB C port to work with any hubs, specifically when trying to use with HDMI. Peripherals would work, then when the HDMI cable was plugged in the laptop would throw an error and the device would become unrecognized by the OS until the cable was unplugged and the system rebooted. So suspecting the implementation of Thunderbolt/USB C is on the cheaper side of things with limited functionality.

Although this laptop was what is called a "Burst SKU," it will probably never be available again in brand-new condition. It was the Deal of the Day on 24 August for $249.99, MSRP $399.99 (please don't ever spend that much on these). For the price, this was the best laptop in it's class. It seems like many people were thrown off by the "fingerprint reader," listed in the spec sheet (and even on HP's website!) why would a computer at this price point even have that? Shoutout to those people. Touchscreen, touchpad and keyboard exceeded my expectations. The screen resolution is the only downside, if you're sitting 2-3 feet away from the screen then it's perfectly fine. The keyboard is fairly clicky and isn't mushy like all the other laptops in this class. The speakers are front-facing, which is what HP is known for, they get very loud and doesn't seem to distort. Out of the box, please switch this thing out of S-mode, it's free to switch to Windows 10 Home. There was almost no bloatware out of the box. Being that the computer has an i3, you will need to disable Cortana completely to take some of the load off. I noticed that the fan was non-stop after 30 minutes of use while doing updates and using Chrome. They no longer let you disable Cortana in settings, so you will need to turn it off using the Registry Editor, which is a minefield for most users. For those of you curious, in taking this thing apart, there are two DIMM slots for RAM expansion, looks like up to 16GB, or two sticks of 8GB of DDR4-2400 SODIMM, which costs about $80-100, anything is better than 4GB. The SSD appears to be an NVMe, which can easily be upgraded, all you will need is the Windows Installation Media on a flash drive. Other than that, it has a USB-C port, 2 USB 3.0, an HDMI, and an SD card reader. Therefore, i'm honestly impressed, and for anyone who missed out on the sale, check back in a few days to see if they have any open-box... hopefully less than $249 since they fiddle with all of the open-box stickers every week (aka assign hundreds of stickers to one or two merch associates for the entire store), usually not to the customer's benefit FYI...

Sales rep kept trying to get me to purchase the 'upgraded' version which would've been I believe $150 more on the reasoning this has only 4GB of RAM. If you're not afraid or know how to open this up it has 2 RAM slots, grab yourself an 8GB stick for $50 (sku: 6346312 is what I purchased) and you'll be identical to the other machine. Purchased for sister in law and she absolutely loves it.

I dont often do reviews but I do have to say that I am super impressed on the low cost of the HP laptop it is faster then I thought and helps you when you need to get help and I learn more and more great features every time I use it. I got the Microsoft office at a great price with purchase of my new Laptop an i made my first resume that was so easy and looks so professional. No complaints here.

I love this laptop. I am using it mainly for my school work, I do full time classes at university and some are online. I needed something light and fast that I could travel with. If you are looking for something that is a powerhouse laptop at this price point you are fooling yourself. I am surprised I got this good of a deal on a laptop with a SSD in it

I bought for my parents, they are in their sixteens. The laptop boots up fast so they don't have to waste too much time waiting. It is light so they can easily carry it from the living room to the bedroom and back. It has a bright screen that they can read but you might need to increase font size anyway. It has a touch screen so one parent can touch it to annoy the other while using it. I might buy another one of those laptops for my in-laws.

Purchased this lap top for an older adult that is familiar with tablets and touch screens, but not a prolific user of technology. It was simple to setup and she is using it with ease to accomplish the basic browsing and computing tasks she performs. At this price point it is certainly a good choice. I would also recommend for a young person.

I haven't done much with it yet as I bought it for school (I work for one) so my kids can watch a movie and I can still do work on my other laptop. The touchscreen on it is pretty nice. The only "complaint" is I wish it came with a screen protector so I don't have to rub off fingers prints when I use the touchscreen. Other than that it's a nice reasonable priced laptop.

If you're looking for a $1500 gaming beast, this ain't it. But for $250, it's amazing to get an i3 processor and a touch screen. This machine handles all the basics with aplomb. I use this machine to run all my non-browser applications, i.e. the ones that only come as .exe files. It's great to manage my several-thousand-book ebook library, data bases that index my print media, CD/DVD/Blu-ray/UHD disks, etc. and act as a host for my NAS disks that I use to back up all my other machines. I'm thinking of hooing it up to my 4K internet TVs as a local streaming host. It seems to have plenty of power to do that.

Wish I could give it 4.5 stars but it won't let me select that option, only reason I'd give it that rating is I kinda wish I had a little more storage. It says 128gb but it's closer to 115 or a little less. Other than that it's amazing and runs really fast.
