I needed a laptop for managing my music library. This pc was perfect, large hard drive, unbelievable price. Downside is that the machine is pretty slow. I suspect it is end of the line, and struggles with resource requirements of Windows 10. Since I only use it for managing my music, I can live with slow boot and sluggish performance. A real deal.

the HP laptop is a good choice for a low cost potable computer that you don't mind kicking around at work in the vehicle or at the job site.

I was replacing a very old laptop when I purchased the HP. I like windows 10 but it took some time to get acclimated with it because it is so different from what I was running on. A month in and it appears to be a good purchase.

LOVE THIS! Exactly what we needed in our house! Very slim...not too heavy... BIG Screen & has a 10-key ! Was very easy to set up too! highly recommend!

Other than there being a few glitches which seemed to work themselves out after setting up this machine, it's a good basic computer to own.

I bought this for my daughter and son in law. They do not have internet hook up yet. She wanted a pc with dvd reader so she's happy so far.

I bought this laptop to replace a 5-year-old HP Envy 14. It has a comfortable keyboard and number pad. It's easy to use and does everything I need it to do. The battery life is good.

This computer was not as expensive like the other ones, yet gets the job done. I use it for homework and various types of games and mods. I would highly recommend this product.

This was purchased as a gift for someone new to computers. It's easy to navigate and perfect for the things she needed it for, checking email, watching videos, surfing the net, etc.

I was not in the market for a new laptop but for $199.99 what did I have to lose. I was not expecting alot out of it for the money but I was surprised. It was not a bare bones model as you would expect for the price as it did come with a Cd drive, Quad core processor, 4 gb of memory and 500 gb hard drive. I have waited a couple of month to try it out before reviewing and it is still functioning flawlessly. No problems getting it up and going, no issues with the wifi and runs most applications pretty fast.

I bought this computer to study for some exams and ended up using it for more than that. It performs just as expected and is very easy to set up and use. Would definitely recommend!

Like the CD player still being there. It's not too heavy. The off/ on bottom is temperamental.

I finally realized that it was time to retire my 4 year old Dell laptop and purchase a new laptop. I had recently purchased an i-pad at Best Buy and had a good experience with that purchase, so I decided to shop at Best Buy for my new laptop. The reviews of this HP laptop were good, and after doing some quick online comparisons on features and costs of this laptop versus other laptops, I decided to go with this HP Notebook. I ordered it online and it was delivered to my home quickly. The setup was easy. The porting over of my data was also fairly easy, although slightly time consuming. In the past when I purchased a new laptop if would sit in the box for months before I finally got around to setting it up and using it. However, I am happy to report I am using my new HP Notebook exclusively after having it only a couple weeks. I have scrubbed my old laptop's hard drive, and will be recycling it soon. In conclusion, I recommend this HP Notebook and I recommend purchasing it at Best Buy.

I bought this laptop for my first semester into college & it's a great investment! For being a broke college student, this laptop was very affordable and of a great convenience to me. It's 15 inches and does not feel that heavy. It fits perfect in my backpack & the battery cord is a great length. This laptop has a nice sleek feel to it. I've dropped my backpack a couple of times, but it still works fine. My only issues tho, are how Skype works on here & my speakers blowing out at times. When I'm using Skype, the other person that I'm videochatting with can barely hear me since the mic is at the top of the laptop by the camera. Also, sometimes when my laptop is using any audio, it comes out scratchy & I have to adjust the settings every now & then to fix it. It doesn't bother me that much; only mainly when I watch Netflix or YouTube videos. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my purchase & this laptop should last me 5+ years.

Went in to buy a full size computer. After describing my needs sales rep. introduced my to notebook--everything I needed and less cost!
