We bought the HP because my son had an online assignment due and our current laptop went crazy (which l've since repaired). I figured we could complete the lesson with the low cost laptop and return if not satisfied. Two days later l returned and purchased a second one.

This laptop is great for day to day basic uses, such as checking e-mail, surfing the net, watching videos on Youtube. It won't be for gaming that requires a lot of graphics power, but it can handle casual games. Yes, it can handle Minecraft. It's pretty lightweight and easy to carry around, although there is one con; when laying down and keeping your hands on the keyboard, the edge of the laptop facing you hurts your wrists because it's like leaning your wrists on a thin table edge. Otherwise, for the price, this laptop is great. Other laptops that are 4GB are usually around $300 or more, but this one's cheaper and has 4GB.

I bought this for my son to do his gaming on because his last computer was way too slow and couldn't keep up. He has been able to play all of his games without any lagging. I would completely recommend this computer if that is what your looking to do. He has a chromebook through his school so he doesn't do any schoolwork on this one as of yet.

A lot of features that are usually found on higher priced models are found on this laptop. Performance and stability are excellent. Great buy for this price range.

I was looking for a laptop that would serve as just a basic needs function. This laptop will most likely serve that purpose. For the price, If I am able to get 2 - 3 years out of it before it starts bogging down and acting up, I will feel that I have gotten my $'s worth. I think it would be a good laptop for any student.

Great starter laptop for my daughter. It's easy to use, nice design, and affordable.

For the size and price this is a great machine. I loaded Office 2016 to it and away we go! Recommend saving files and photos to an external to keep the machine "clean" of clutter that slows it down. I bought another one of these for my wife and she loves it!

I did a great deal of research prior to purchasing this device and couldn't be more pleased with it. Everything from the weight, to the performance have exceeded expectations. I liked the first one so much, that I returned shortly afterward to purchase two additional devices.

My son enjoys playing games and watching videos on it. Good buy for the money!

Bought two of these laptops for my daughters for Christmas. They use them on a daily basis. The laptop is not the fastest, but other than that, it is great for a teen, a beginner, or for anyone that does need a fast or fancy computer for work purposes. Definitely a great buy. The size is perfect!

A good price - especially when adding in software, geek squad and virus protection totaled up to about the same amount as the laptop itself. Seems to suit our purposes well - so far anyway. Would like to have been informed that returns (with no problems) could have been purchased for a large discount. The 18-month no-interest payment schedule made this possible for us.

This lap top was purchased for an older teen with intellectual disabilities. It is sleek, easy to use and super affordable. I am very pleased with the purchase and my child's ability to navigate the keyboard. Good investment for the price.

Purchased as a CHRISTmas gift for my grandson. Considering the price paid ($259.00) I can't complain. Not the most beautiful laptop to look out; Not the most capable; And certainly not the most powerful: But considering the price, it was good enough for homework and internet surfing. Seems to be fairly well built. But time will tell. So far, no complaints from me.

Purchased these as alternatives to IPads for my kids for Xmas. Works fine for videos and gaming, minecraft, websites for school issues, etc. just what they would need it for. I've used HP computers for years. Never had a major problem.

I purchased this laptop for my dad when his old Vista laptop finally gave out. It was a little frustrating teaching him how to use Windows 10 but he soon got the hang of it and is very happy to have a faster laptop than he did before. It's perfect for what he uses it for, browsing the web, streaming Netflix and looking at his photographs. It's much better for me as well when I do remote support to help him through the tricky parts. It responds faster while I am remoted in to it than the old one did. As long as you don't try and use it for any "heavy lifting" it's a great laptop for the simple things.

Needed a basic laptop to replace an older and slower laptop my mom was using. She just browses the internet, on-line banking and email. So this was perfect for her. She wished the keyboard was a little better. But will get a wireless keyboard for her along with a wireless mouse.

I had ended up purchasing this laptop because my previous HP of 5+ years and it was time for a new one. I purchased this one on sale and I was quite impressed! I thought I was going to end up returning this product but I'm in love with it! I used the have a bulky 16-inch so I like the fact that this laptop is extremely lightweight. The only thing that bugs me about this product is that the keypad does not always function properly. I ended up purchasing a wireless mouse for more convenience and it gets the job done.

This machine was bought for my 77 year old mother-in-law for general web surfing, emails, and word processing. Works great for those applications. She has also discovered streaming video with the HDMI output. A great value for what it is. Solid, reliable, and affordable.
