The unit considering the price is already a great deal. It also has a 6 months free anti virus using Micro Trend. Overall, the unit is meeting my expectations.

Affordable and functional aren't always found together...with this computer, it does. Purchased for the (young adult) kids...they're pressed and enjoy using it.

touch pad placement a little difficult to get used to [further to the right], and key touch less sensitive that expected.

I have a company laptop and an Ipad mini. I purchased this for the sole purpose of upgrading an old Toshiba satellite. I have an older MS Office and I wanted to transfer it to a new computer so that I keep my work/personal stuff separate. I have only had it a short while, but it is doing fine. This is a new transition (to an HP) after 3 consective Toshiba's over 15 years.

Got this laptop for a great price and it works great! So glad we made this purchase.

This is a decent computer for the price. The bonus for me is it still has a disk drive because I like to watch DVD's on my laptop. It is great for web surfing and some game play. Can't beat it for the price.

The specs on this HP are ok. It has a decent size hard drive, hdmi out, and Windows 10, which I really like. What I don't like, is the screen resolution, and the speed. The screen seems to look somewhat dull, and flat. Also, the speed of web browsing, and using apps, and loading times seem sub-par. They aren't painfully slow, you can absolutely get things done, as it is a functioning laptop but in my opinion it should be faster at what it does, based on the specs it has.

After I decided to buy this item on sale, I noticed a further reduction in price which helped make the decision easy. There are so many built-in features that I have barely begun to use them all. I like listening to radio online and have supplemented the internal speakers with some inexpensive external ones from Best Buy which help a lot. I am inclined to give this five stars, so make it four and a half. My only disappointment is that no free word processing system seems to have been included, and I am getting lots of pop ups which is probably my fault for not yet downloading a free pop up blocker. Bottom line: this is a lot of fun with a huge number of functions and capabilities, and I have no regrets about buying it.

The WiFi is not the fastest speed and the graphics card, although pretty good, is not the minimal requirement for many, newer, pc games. However, it is pretty much a base model that is up to date and functions as a normal computer (for school or work), I just wouldn't recommend it for gaming or any kind of music/film editing.

Was fast enough to do the schoolwork needed in my degree program yet very moderately priced. Good deal for students.

Does everything you need. Turns on quickly, is fast, and is great for playing MMORPG's. Not recommended for high end graphic settings. If you need a laptop that won't break the bank try this one out.

I just needed something I could use at work with Google sketch up. I had purchased an iPad pro and Pen for the wife but she was already happy with her iPad Air 2 and she would have rather paid bills or something. So I returned it a few days later after researching what I could get for the $700+ I would be getting back. I saw this laptop on Bestbuy.com starting at $869 or something for open box or refurb, not too sure but figured I can just pay $100 more and have a decent laptop. Well it wasn't refurbishd but it was open box which automatically had a $50 markdown and then another two markdowns to bring it down to about $750 or so after tax! I actually had $95 coming back to me. Then I got home and found out that it was touch screen as well as a gaming laptop. I've been loving it ever since. Especially considering it is $1149 or $1249 brand new!

This is a good dependable laptop to stay connected and perform basic functions. Will run office, outlook and access the internet. A little slow, but for basic function it will serve its' purpose.

Great little system, perfect for home use. Very lightweight, and has all the features we need. Touchpad buttons are a bit stiff at first, but for this price range HP has done a good job overall.

No problems works like it should. Internet security still starts up and slows things down when you need to use it the most just like all computers. Alll in all its a good computer for the price.

I was in the market to replace my now dead HP. I tend to gravitate towards HP, because I like them better. The ease of use and graphics are part of what I love. This is a cheap laptop but does the trick for what I need it for. I can say that sometimes things are just a tab bit slow to startup; but that's compared to my previous HP laptop where I spent triple the price. This is light and sleek. I love the all black color, I just wish it had light up keys!

I purchased this laptop because for the price, it basically gave me exactly what I wanted out of a computer. I bought it to start school after spring break, and so far, it's working perfectly.

Really just needed a laptop that would work well without being too expensive, but could do a good job. It has done great so far, it does run kind of loud but that's one of my only complaints.

The only reason this product didn't get a higher score is the set up. I was ready to return it because we couldn't stream video & it was so slow. After 2 days and the last time I was going to try it I found that this machine has a power setting that automatically slows it to save power. Once I cleared that issue I find this to be absolutely a best buy! Quick, light, cool and versatile.

As with any HP device I have had experience with this Laptop performs well. Boots fast and easy to use. Only wish battery had more life,
