I purchace this lab top for my daughter not only for its low price but because it still give you alot for your bucks. she loves your lab top but because it wont shut off. only because of that im rating it a 3 star.

This is a very nice student computer. It has all the power necessary for standard educational tasks, plus they can watch movies or entertainment from multiple sources. We bought about a month ago for my daughter as she is preparing to head off to college. She is enjoying it very much and it seems to be working very well. I also bought the same model for an extra lab computer at work. It is used mainly for image capture, MS Word, and Powerpoint and it is more than capable for those tasks.

Love the computer! It's a great basic computer if you're not looking to spend a lot.

This would be a great computer to give to my grand kids

If you're looking for a laptop for everyday use, this is a good laptop. I've had it for almost a year and it still works great. I use it to write papers for my classes, stream online, recording software.

This HP laptop has basic features but if you need a laptop for your kids in school for word processing, this is the way to go. It plays video well and is multipurpose. It may be slow on games but I got it for my kids to use with homework.

After reading many bad reviews about HP, I know people may write reviews when something goes wrong. I got a my HP. I have and I'm still using it every day. I have no problem so far, so far I mean I have it for 6 month and I like it for the price and what I need.

I had purchased the previous model but the children demolished to screen (highly recommend getting accident protection) my daughter uses it for school and the only complaint is that its not touchscreen. I like HP and this is definitely a good bang for your buck!

I have had several other brands and keep returning to HP. They provide good quality and most importantly durability. I write hundreds of thousands of words a year and have never warn out an HP, just the batteries which get better every generation. I usually write with a DVD playing on the computer and on the web at the same time. No issues with speed or refresh rates. I bought on-line and picked up in store the next morning, took 15 minutes total with purchase and pick up.

I bought this computer for my 13 year old brother for his birthday. It seems to be holding up well. This is a great computer for a teen and for someone who likes to surf the Internet and complete documents for school. Very sleek style and also has 10-key pad.
