I bought this computer to upgrade from a older model, however after purchasing I learned that it will NOT connect to the 5.0 ghz wifi band. Though the 2.4 ghz band is fast enough due to the new technology. I am withholding the last star for that reason. With that said, this has been a great computer so far. The quad core CPU is plenty fast for me, being only an average computer user, i.e. internet, word/excel use. I don't online game except for the occasional Facebook game. Graphics rendering and refresh speed is perfect for a user like me. Battery life is not that great, but I don't travel too far without a plug being close, so it is fine.

Purchased as my eleven year old granddaughter's first laptop. It is perfect for her to surf the web and research for class assignments. Has a large memory and adequate speed for her.

Really good computer for the price, bought it for 200. It does what you can expect for the price, it was purchased as a school laptop, so regular office, browsing, does the job great.

I got this on sale during Black Friday. Its nothing fancy but it gets the job done. My son uses it for school. Bacis functions descent speed with just enough ram to perform most tasks.

Easy set up, The features are awesome The updated Windows 10 makes navigate very simple Excellent value . I would recommend this note book for any school child up through college.

I purchased this laptop in an emergency sort of way, I had a paper due and my desktop Hard Drive gave up, leaving me with not many choices but to purchase one. I would say I have had many HP before this one is by far the lightest and fastest. So far it has been a smooth transition from my awesome and now deceased desktop.

Great produce for the price. My only complaint is battery life - must be recharged rather frequently when using Netflix, etc. But again, absolutely great machine for the price.

I bought this for my wife. She is not very tech savvy but she loves the new windows 10 OS. She said the laptop is very easy to use and enjoys the speed it has to access the Internet

My mom is the kind of person who isn't very good with computers, but still needs to use one from time to time for email and paperwork. We got her this because it's big enough for her to see, it has a number pad, and it's remarkably inexpensive.

I have always used a HP. This was an awesome price for this computer. I could not pass it up. My computer is older and was giving me some trouble. After talking about this, my dad also purchased one lol. I also came home with a new air computer which I love. I am also enrolled in the Instant Ink. This is fantastic!

Great system with large hard drive. Also has a dvd r/rw which is getting rare. Light weight and good graphics

The computer is very easy too operate. I did not have the latest windows before and really love using it. It is simple, quick and guides you all the way. I am not technically knowledgeable and find this HP is best laptop I ever had. My previous laptop was also an HP but they have made tremendous improvements

Laptop was overall great for my daughter she was able to use it for her school work and also for her games.!

I need something very basic for word processing, e-mails, some web surfing, downloading some old family photos and so forth and, hopefully, working with machine embroidery patterns I have not yet done the downloading and I don't have the digitizing software to work with the embroidery patterns, but the things I have done have worked almost flawlessly. I cannot get the voice-activated word processing to work properly, but I am fairly certain this is the software and not the laptop. This laptop is probably more than I actually need, but I wanted something reliable and I have seldom had any problems with HP products.

It's advertised as a laptop that can play light games and browse the web. It does those things. It played Minecraft at 30 fps without problems, Spore at about 10 fps and KSP at 7 fps (daughter again happy). It does what I wanted, but not much more. The down one star is because you cannot get at the memory or hard drive without taking the whole thing apart. So there is no option to replace the HD with an SSD or up the memory like I did with a Lenovo with the same specs a few months back.

It's performance exceeds expectations for the price. Many unexpected extras such as mirroring. It does occasionally freeze for a few moments. I will add more memory to it.

I came in looking to buy a computer for my church. I found this gem and it was such a good deal, that I bought one for myself and one for my church. Both computers have been working excellent and were well worth it. I even saw the same brand/model at other stores and Best Buy had them beat by $50-90.

i brought this as a gift for my girlfriend to use for personal use. pretty simple laptop for simple tasks

I purchased this for my son who is in middle school. It has performed well and been easy to use. It meets my expectations and his needs. Good choice for educational use.
