Bought this laptop for Christmas and so far I have been happy. It's light and thin. Operates well. Came with 3 months virus protection. I haven't done it but you can add more storage if needed.

Easy to set up, fast & great for the money. Looks easy to expand memory up to at least 8g

If you need a lot of memory & like to save a lot of things, this isn't for you. This is more for someone who doesn't save too many documents, pictures, songs, videos, anything of the sort.. The less memory you have the slower the laptop will function. With that said, you can always buy an external hard drive and add all your files you don't need to get to quickly. Other than that it's lightweight so you can take it anywhere. It works fast but that could be my internet connection. I haven't had any complaints so far but I barely use it once or twice a week. We have about 4 laptops in our home and sometimes it's easier to use a smart phone than it is to pull out the laptop.

As usual this HP laptop is performing fantastic. I buy a new one every couple of years and have never been disappointed. Plenty of memory and storage. It is perfect for surfing the web.

This laptop is a pleasant departure from the usual frustrating offerings on the less expensive side of the scale. It's quick, light, and can handle a hardwire connection or wifi with equal ease. The display is beautiful, and it comes with full info. If you need a good laptop for the basics and don't want to break the bank, this might be the pleasant surprise you've been looking for.

Purchased for our 6 year old great-granddaughter. She enjoys, uses easily, and the memory is perfect for her needs. This will see her through grade school. Also, this is a backup computer for her great-grand parents. Set up was a piece of cake. Query: Why isn't Mircosoft word included or an alternative word processor offered? At least give purchaser a choice to avoid monopoly laws.

Bought this HP laptop several months ago to replace my Asus laptop. I use it daily for work. It has performed flawlessly. You may however want to increase the 4GB ram by adding another 4GB if you want a respectable amount of power. It will expand to 16GB with 2 x 8GB cards.

So far this has been a great purchase. It is for school use so typing papers surfing the net for reasearch. No complaints easy to use good memory and not too heavy for carrying.

Laptop was purchased for a middle schooler who uses it extensively for school work as well as for accessing music & social media. It is lightweight and priced moderately. This was a replacement for a broken laptop purchased without extended warranty. I got an extended warranty for this one and folks helped out with software installation which was a bit tricky (especially, Office).

This was a replacement for my broken laptop and I and very satisfied. The computer is very reliable, battery lasts really long and system is able to run multiple programs without slowing down. Tried to buy a second one just to have in the home but Best Buy was sold out.

This is not a high end laptop nor should it be compared to one that is used for gaming or sound recording. Works great and has a decent size hard Drive at a reasonable price. PC is lightweight although the case does feel a bit cheap. Processor seems fast enough. Completes office tasks, Facebook, and Email without a hitch. Have used it now for about 3 months and no complaints.

This laptop was actually for my boyfriend. He had a 10 year old laptop from a company that begins with the letter A so it was a replacement for that. It is not too fancy, but we did not get it for that purpose. No lag or slowdown, perfect for his needs or for a computer to use while sitting on the couch. And it did have a DVD Drive which was shocking for a laptop for $169. The only frown I had that when he first opened the box, it had to be fully charged and did not come with a pre charge like most new laptops I've experience but other than that, solid product!

I bought this laptop for my school/work assignments. at first the laptop was super slow and the battery died very quickly, after updated the laptop it has gotten much faster. And their was a few tips for the battery, brightness etc, I followed the directions and the battery life has increased. I dont have any major complaints it does everything I need it to do.

Perfect size for travel and performs well. Good value for the price.

Will be a gift for a teenager. Seemed fast enough during my brief time with it while updating. Took AWHILE to update! Screen looks great and just casual web surfing and Facebook was fine. Did not try any demanding games, just some web browser time wasters! Overall I feel a great value (around $200 on special) for the display, storage size, and speed!

This laptop has all of the necessary components to work for school or work. I have used the laptop to work remotely and attend school on-line. The speed is nice and responsive. It doesn't have a back-lit keyboard so you will need a light to work or read while everyone is asleep. The battery life is ok, but it could be longer. Overall a good deal.

I only bought this laptop for writing my reports for work, and checking my emails. It works just fine for that. If you are looking for a cheap laptop and not trying to do much more than, watch Youtube and write emails, this is the one for you.

It is just what I needed. It is fast, light, and easy to use.

Purchased this on sale for my 9 year old forChristmas. This setup handles Minecraft, Terreria, and ROBLOX with no problems. My son asked me to get Rocket League and I had my doubts, but the system handles it well enough to be playable without any major issues. Overall I couldn't have asked for more from this budget laptop. If you have a youngster or you enjoy playing games like the ones I mentioned, you cannot go wrong with this set up.
