Love it so Far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the computer for over a month now and I love it. It can run multiple tasks and open multiple windows online. I use it for internet, school, and some microsoft programs and have had no problems. The set up was easy and after a little exploring it was easy to find and use its features. The touchscreen works pretty good, I don't use it a lot though, The only thing I don't like about it is the mouse buttons. The clicking sound they make is rather loud and the button actually has to be clicked down to use it to select anything on screen and is a little touchy. However this hasn't been a big deal. I really liked the price of this computer for what you get as well.

Great small business laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This HP has met all of my expectations. It is reasonably fast, has a nice touchscreen, and was very easy to set up. I can multitask without problems. My only wish is that it was a bit lighter and that the power cord was smaller and lighter and that the battery lasted a bit longer. For the price, it was a great buy.

Great College Starter Laptop W/ Big Processor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading countless reviews on how bad or clumsy the laptop was, I was very skeptical and curious on how it would preform. After using the laptop hands on for a week, I found myself liking it again and again every time from the fast processor to the reliable touchscreen display. Now this goes without saying that the display is subpar and battery life is almost broken, but this didn't stop me from giving up on this glorious machine. At the end of the day a better display and better battery may do wonders but besides that it is an exellent budget laptop for even intermediate users.

Very Good for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I greatly enjoy this computer considering I paid less than $350 for it (bought it on Cyber Monday). It runs smoothly, touch screen is flawless and the graphics and overall quality is nice... plus the data storage is insane!!! Also, I read some complaints about the battery life, but for me, if I have the battery saver feature on, I've gotten a little over 3 hours of power without it shutting down. Have yet to test it's full battery life yet. The only issues I have with this computer is that the fan can get really loud and once in a blue moon, it will occasionally shut down out of the blue. Overall, I've had this computer since December and I love it. I'm not a PC gamer, bought I do run a small business so I do use a lot of storage for this computer and I love it.

Excellent well priced Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my Windows7 laptop once I was comfortable with the windows10 upgrade I did on that unit. I'm very competent with PC's and Laptops but I was at the point where speed and disk space was at a cross roads and decision to buy this laptop was easy. It has plenty of space, speed and memory to do what I need. I bought the MSoffice package and off I went! It was easy to setup, I transferred my music editing software based on Win7 with no issues, my printer, wireless router, and all other Win7 applications of interest with no issues. I would recommend this laptop, the price is about right for the capabilities you get. It has a built cam, DVD drive etc,,,,

Great value compared to Intel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I want to say I am not an AMD fanboy. I have an Intel 6700k desktop along with a gtx 1070 video card. However, when it comes to a budget laptop I can not recommend AMD more. I was very lucky in getting my laptop at a severe open item discount. Even at regular price this laptop is a steal. The video is amazing (over 1000 points in passmark). And the hard drive that was in mine was very fast for a 5400 rpm drive. The 6gb of ddr4 allows it to run in dual channel mode (a necessity for the built in video). And the touchscreen was very responsive. Now for the bad parts. The memory and drive are not easy to get to. If you take apart the laptop to replace those parts (recommended) then you may miss the screws under the rubber feet. Ensure you pull back the feet just enough to get the screws out and they will not pull off at all. The sticks of ram are not the same. 1 2gb stick and 1 4gb stick. How else would you get 6 gb. :) I upgraded the 2 gb to an 8gb stick for $45. I put a 240gb ssd in and this thing screams. I did have to install windows from scratch, but it was a simple process and only took about 20 minutes to get it in a perfectly working state. The wireless works right away and so did the touchscreen. Once you install the drivers from amd's site, it gets close to my HP pro-book with a very good i5. When on battery it may skip with hd video on YouTube. Just change your power state so that the cpu doesn't clock down as much until that stops. Then it is a perfect machine. I could not recommend it more. It was a great purchase.

Great laptop for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my son who is in his fourth year of college. He does online gaming, and uses Microsoft Office. He and I agree that the AMD A10-9600P combined with the AMD Radeon R5 Graphics are well balanced and a step up. With 6GB of system memory and a 1TB hard drive for storage, this is a fantastic computer; especially for the price.

Great laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After doing a lot of research on many sites this HP laptop met all our sons needs. Price, size, power and reliability was a large factor. He uses it for school, homework, graphics, design and to watch movies and gaming. This laptop does it all with ease and has plenty of power from the AMD/ Radeon integrated processor/graphics. wireless connectivity is great and it does have a touch screen and hdmi output to tv and monitors which is nice. It's also much lighter and more durable than expected. I would recommend this laptop for students or people looking to get more bang for there buck.

Lacks Basic Fundamentals
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer in July and waited this long to give my review because I wanted to make sure I wasn't just venting out of frustration. The computer is average at best. Things that other computers due easily this one seems to struggle with like maintaining a stable internet connection over Wi-fi. The Wi-fi constantly goes in and out to the point I cant take a quiz online without using an Ethernet cable because if the Wi-fi drops it will kick me out of the exam. Its my first interaction with tough-screen and that feature seems to work fine but when I am typing on the keyboard the curser will jump around causing misspellings and overwriting not mention when it suddenly highlights everything and before you know it with the next keystroke poof..its all gone. It comes with 1TB of storage which is awesome but only 6 GBs of RAM. Once I used 1/2 of the storage it slowed way down. I upgraded the RAM to 16 GBs (the max allowed) and its faster but not as fast as my HP Pavilion which is 2 years older and has 16 GBs of RAM and 1 TB of storage also but more data stored on it. Does not come with any preloaded programs and the battery lasts about 1 hour tops which is pretty bad for computer that just came out in 2016. I keep getting a notification from AMD for a driver update which it the name of the processor manufacturer used. I have tried to download and install it twice, once over the Wi-Fi and the other with the Ethernet cable and both times it crashed the laptop. I had to have my computer professionally reset both times. Very disappointed in this product. I can't say you get what you pay for because I have bought cheaper laptops that didn't come with all of the inflated specs but at least I could work on battery power 3-4 hours and kept a stable Wi-Fi connection.

Great touchscreen laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great touchscreen laptop with Windows 10, 6 GB of RAM, 1 TB of hard drive space, DVD reader/writer and a full sized keyboard! I purchased MS Office with it from Best Buy too. I'm happy that I did! Well, oiled laptop with plenty of space for my programs. I highly recommend it. I ordered it online and picked it up at my local Best Buy. Great buy! I'm exceedingly thrilled with it!

Great for college student
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this laptop for our son starting college and it is all that he needs. The 6 gigs of memory and 1 tb of storage suit his purposes just fine. The speed of the computer along with the ability to use it as a touch screen or with a mouse is just another plus. Great price and got the printer for $30 just for purchasing the laptop. Can't beat that!

Good laptop for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been looking for a laptop for some time, and finally bit the bullet and bought this one. So far, everything seems to be fine with it; the touchscreen display is a nice bonus, the DVD/CD player/writer works good as do all the inputs. It's a bit of a learning curve coming from Windows XP, but Windows 10 appears to be a good operating system. Compared to my 1999 HP desktop, this machine is screaming fast. The battery life could definitely be better, but as long as a plug is nearby, who cares.

Good Buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the money for a person who is going to spend for this computer, it's a good buy. Where can you get a AMD A10 processor, dvd drive, touch screen for under $400.00, when on sale a better buy? That are some of the good of this computer. There are some not so good points. Battery life is on the shorter side, approximately 3 hours. It is slow at times. It does run warm on long runs. Overall a good buy for the money.

Great buy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really happy with my purchase. I find the touch screen very helpful. When using it to sign up new clients during an event they found it easy to navigate using the touch screen. The processor moves quickly and there is ample RAM for multitasking. The 1tb hard drive is really great for storing all of work related docs and pics.

Great intro laptop for newer PC gamers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Note: I received this laptop in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. The HP 15-BA079DX is a killer laptop for newer gamers who are looking to get into PC gaming without breaking the bank. The laptop plays DotA 2, CS:GO, and Rocket League incredibly well at default settings and can even squeeze out medium/high quality while still being very playable. Also being a laptop, it has the convenience of being a very portable system so bringing your "rig" to LANs, conventions, or even a friend's house is a no-brainer (with no carrying bulky equipment as with desktops). Beyond gaming it has some pretty cool features. A 15.6" touch-screen display on a sub-$400 laptop is hard to find nowadays, especially one with a newer processor and superb video capabilities. The 1TB HDD (HGST) is actually pretty fast and there's plenty of space to add programs, games, pictures, videos, etc. The built-in speakers sound incredibly good, great highs and mid-ranges, and as such they're not tinny in the slightest. More importantly, they get LOUD, so if you want to listen to some music while vacuuming the room or doing work in a hallway, you'll still be able to hear it. The keyboard also sports full-size keys and a number pad, so it's great for productivity. Getting back to being gaming related, the keys aren't squishy and are quite responsive, I'm able to game for hours straight on the laptop without feeling fatigued or uncomfortable. Now it does come with a battery included but it's only a 3-cell, so you're looking at about three hours of juice using HP's recommended power settings. If you're looking to make the system an ultra-portable one, I highly recommend picking up a 6-cell battery which should double your time away from the plug and be plenty of power for cross country flights. Although, for the most part, the laptop feels designed to be a desktop replacement so it's not a major detraction. If you or a young one are looking to make the jump from console to PC without building a $1,000+ rig, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better for the price. I highly recommend the HP 15-BA079DX for its price, performance, and great build quality.

Nice Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the only laptop that had everything I needed in a laptop for the money. There was a time when laptops came with at least a basic DVD Disc player, but not anymore. Not sure why. Just don't assume that even playing close to a thousand dollars for a top of the line laptop may or may not come with one. This one came with a Blu-ray player. It took my a long while to find one that suited my needs. It has plenty of RAM memory, and a 1 TB HDD. The processor is a quad processor and the clock speed is adequate. It has an AMD processor. I prefer the AMD over the Intel processor.
