I didn't think it was possible to get a touch screen at this low price - it works great, a good machine for office work

This was the best laptop I ever purchased. The touchscreen highlights it's performance and it's speed is unmatched.

Cons: Only had for 2 months and there are hard issues already! I used within 1st month purchase and it automatically shut down on it’s on – battery fully charged. Was on a zoom meet and the display went out for 3 minutes. Pros: Love the keyboard/keypad, especially if you are constantly using numbers. The design and weight are perfect for a work laptop – touch screen in wonderful.

I use this laptop for a lot of project work. I use rendering programs to design in 3D and manufacture parts. I have been using it for over a month now with no issues of any kind. It work well whether I'm surfing the net, word prossesing or rendering and constucting complex parts. It only has a 256 gig Soild State Drive but I store most of my data in the cloud so space is not a big concern. However it might prove to be for someone wanting to store a lot of movies or music.

I use it for day stock trading. It easily streams 300 stocks which all have a lot of details for each stock. It reacts to split second data details for all 300 stocks and never slows down, never! I have 150 Megs coming into my house. Even with a second stock trading app running on my computer and my daughter using her computer with live audio and video, plus our phones, my laptop keeps up and goes below 140 Megs, even with all of that going on!

This is a good laptop for the price. We have had no issues with it and love the touch screen.

I have found this to be lightweight, screen size perfect, and ease of use. Only missing backlit keyboard.

This is my first HP laptop and I am loving it. Light-weight was important as I travel a lot and this one is easy to carry. Also important was internet speed which this laptop has in abundance. Battery lasts considerably longer than my last laptop and I am pleasantly surprised by how long it lasts.

Its loaded with tons of bloatware, all computers are now a days. Its fast and responsive. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is due to the small hard drive and no optical drive.(cd/dvd) I was forced to purchase an external optical drive and an external hard drive. It's a little difficult finding room for all the external drives, and storing the drives. It would have been nice to have it all built in. As for the computer itself I am happy.

This little I5 quad core computer with the SSD and Optane performs as well as or better than I7 computers. Booting is extremely fast and the 12 GB RAM makes multitasking and program switching a pleasure. The only draw back is the screen resolution is not 1920x1080, but that is no biggie. My grandson loves his new computer! I had a minor issue to begin with until I got the Windows 10 out of S mode (Microsoft approved store apps only!).

I received a call from my Best Buy store after my initial on-line review. They said they would transfer data from old to newly purchased lap top at no extra cost. Before that call, I was ready to return all of my purchases. After the call, I took my old and new laptop into the Ankeny store. Not only did they transfer my old data, they also loaded my game disks(very old games) and set the screen up just like my old PC. I greatly appreciate their extra effort. They made this customer VERY HAPPY. It is important that Best Buy stores understand that older people like me have difficulty understanding and working with new computer systems. That Is why I subscribe to Best Buy's Geek Squad. I need the type of help that I finally received.

Easy to Set-Up. Great camera for conferences, keys are easy to use, screen is big, laptop is light.

My son has been using the laptop the most and loves the touch screen. Speed seems to be good also!

I needed to replace my laptop before my 4-year old HP Spectre failed, and thought it would be easiest to stay with an HP device, since I had spare power supplies and some familiarity with HP product support. This laptop has a bigger display, and more RAM, which is nice, though less SSD storage. But I opted to make use of cloud storage, Microsoft's OneDrive, so decided I could get by with just the 256GB that comes with this model. I also signed up for MS Office 365. This made it easy to set up MS Office on the new laptop, and to transfer my files, though I did need some help from MS support with some OneDrive problems. There were a few problems with the HP laptop, but nothing I couldn't get around. There are only 2 USB ports, one is dedicated for my mouse, so I have a multi-port extender when I need to connect an external drive, my phone or ipad, There is only one type of video output, but I already had a dongle for that type, just don't need the other type dongles anymore. Setting up my printers was more of a challenge, even after I downloaded fresh drivers for them, and I'm not sure if that is an HP or Windows problem. And when I try to use my iphone as a hotspot it takes several tries, even when physically connected to the laptop, for the laptop to see the connection. The laptop refuses to see the hotspot at all otherwise, whereas I could easily use the hotspot wirelessly with the old Spectre. And I'll miss the lighted keys for when flying in a darkened plane... if we ever get to fly again. 3.5 weeks in - I'm still happy with the purchase.
