After my Dell All-In-One took a dump after only 18 months, I needed an inexpensive home computer. I spent almost an hour talking with a Best Buy employee and decided on this model. It is lightning quick, easy to use, and comes with all kinds of pre-loaded apps. Goodbye Dell, hello HP! The price on this model is less than 500.00 and would be great for students too.

Have had good experiences in the past with HP products and this laptop has not disappointed. The features are great vivid imagery along with nice size touch screen, and more than adequate hard drive space and memory for the purpose intended.....

The computer is very nice and works well out of the box. Not issues so far (about 1 month). Speed is good. Works well for typical applications (i.e. MS Office and web browsing). Touchscreen works well and fairly accurate.

The laptop was easy to setup out of the box. The screen is just the right size. Touchscreen is a great way to control the computer. Full keyboard with a numeric keypad helps with productivity. Lots of storage on board.

We needed a computer for our teens to use for school work and got this one in a bundle. It's nothing fancy, but I'm pleasantly surprised at how capable it has proven to be. Better than expected for the price.

As a computer it's pretty decent, but as a laptop it has tons of room for improvement. It runs well with Win10, fairly fast and seems to handle all tasks I've thrown at it. However, the trackpad is terrible (and oddly placed), the clicking is also terrible, and the camera is extremely bad. I had even considered returning it because the camera is so bad, despite it being advertised as "vision HD" or whatever they call it. The trackpad can be remedied by a cheap $10 wireless mouse, so that's not a huge deal...but the camera might be a dealbreaker for some.

Like the size and weight as compared to my former laptop. Still trying to learn some features (instructions not included), along with changes in Windows 10, so that is frustrating.

I'm not a tech and know very little about computers. I need a reliable computer with a decent battery life. This laptop was a letdown. The battery life is dismal. I get about 1 hour and sometimes it freezes. I like the touch screen feature bc the mousepad is annoying sometimes. I'm used to the configuration of my old laptop so I'm biased there. I thought we had 30 days to return so I missed the window (14 days). If I could I would have returned and bought a more expensive laptop.

I purchased this laptop a little over 1 year ago now. Thus far, it has been a decent laptop to use during computer science classes (requiring Visual Studio 2015). The screen leaves something to be desired -- you can very easily see the pixels from arms length, with good eyes. I wouldn't exactly call it bad, but it's worse than my Macbook Air's screen quality for sure. But if you're not into your screen being an awesome viewing experience, that shouldn't matter much. The touch screen is adequate -- if you've used a tablet before and enjoy touching the screen, this one will do for the most part. Processing power is decent for a budget laptop -- after all, I was running a programming IDE and compiling and testing my code. Overall, I'd recommend this laptop to someone who's starting out that doesn't want a Chromebook and doesn't need awesome graphics. The downside, however, is the fact that I just powered this thing up after *months* of non-use and found that the battery was completely bad. Won't hold a charge at all. HP wants to charge me $80 plus shipping for a new battery. I'd rather keep this plugged in than pay 30-40% of the cost of the actual computer just for a battery replacement. This is where such a low rating comes into play. Being that this is supposed to be a portable electronic device, the battery longevity is *CRITICAL* when producing a consumer laptop. This battery "lasted" for, I assume, less than a year, as I haven't powered it up in several months. Since my friends tend to rely heavily on batteries, I would not recommend this laptop to a friend, but would for the budget-conscious general use consumer.
