Bought this on a Friday and the following Friday I dropped it off to have a Western Digital WD_BLACK 1TB SN770 NVMe Internal Gaming SSD Solid State Drive and PNY Performance 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 DRAM istalled. Made it a super good laptop. But if you chat with someone on the website or call the toll free number (not the local store) they will straight up lie to you and tell you this can not be done and you have to buy a more expensive laptop. Do your research.

Bought this for my 88 year old mom. Works great, fast enough. Great price for a large screen laptop.

This is my 2nd HP 17" laptop. Still use my old one running Windows 8.1 which is over 10yrs old. So I hope this lasts as long. I like the keyboard which is easy to read & see. The picture is very clear & the computer seems to be fast. I also took it out of the "S" Mode with no problems. I am old & Microsoft has too many apps for my needs & taste. So far it's a great HP laptop & great price.

For the price, i dont think you can get a better value laptop. Good performance, decent amount of memory, but don't try and game on it. You should have a great experience surfing the web, watching movies, and any light work and school needs. I've never liked Windows S mode. I know you can turn it off, but it's still a pain that will never go away, even if you pay for a better version of windows since the S mode license is embedded into the motherboard of the laptop.

The reason to buy this laptop was because of his big screen, but also is fast. I like it a lot.

It is a great size and the SSD makes it run really well. Good purchase for the price. Perfect for running basic programs.

Overall, I like this machine. I opted to NOT install any Microsoft software. The screen size is great. Should I have a do-over, I think I would have opted for the illuminated keyboard. But I didn't at the time because that option was pretty expensive. I wish it had just ONE more USB port! Otherwise, this is a good machine.
