Outstanding Performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this Chromebook. First off, it's detachable which means thats one of a kind. And the fact that it is detachable and feels like a tablet is worth your time and money. It feels quite light specifically when you detach it from the keyboard. With the keyboard, it does feel a bit hefty but not really a problem. It is 4GB Ram with m3 processor which is good enough for basic needs. If you're going to play medium or high frame games then I recommend not getting it. This Chromebook is best for anything school related. The sytlus is nice to write and draw with. It's attached to the side of keyboard and not in it like the Samsung Chromebook. It's easy to remove and use. The Chromebook will be able to tell whether or not you are using the stylus that came with it. Overall, it's an outstanding Chromebook with high speed.

Super Versatile Chromebook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Both my kids got chromebooks for school. Two years ago I bought my daughter an Asus Flip for her (it's still going strong). I just recently bought a Lenovo 500e chromebook for my son, which is a great, sturdy laptop perfect for a young student. I bought this one for myself so when I need to help my kids with work and just as a general use device. I love it. It's versatile, it lasts a long time, and it's a pretty good looking machine. I will say, there are somethings i'm not to keen on. The screen doesn't go back far enough which is a compromise you have to live with on order to have that removable keyboard which works great by the way and I find that the touchscreen is really finicky when being used in tablet mode (I use a 12" iPad Pro so that only exacerbates it to me). I also don't really like the white color, it is just begging to get filthy. This is a high quality chromebook. it feels high quality and it performs amazingly well. I have no issues with the hardware, which is surprising to me because I have not been a huge HP fan because of quality issues in the past. This is a nice surprise and it may just have me look and consider HP products again. If you want pixelbook quality at a lower price with the versatility of being able to use it as an actual tablet without the weight or ugly feel of the keyboard.... This is the chromebook to get.

decent laptop, good functionality for student
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.love the ability to switch between tablet and laptop, just wish the tablet part wasnt so much heavier than the keyboard. pen works very well most have the time, have experienced lag rarely and only with certain apps. good quality screen. love how integrated it is with my google phone. i just wish the laptop had more memory and had been slightly less pricey, but overall a good quality piece of technology and very helpful as a student.

Really a nice Chromebook. A pixelbook for 40% less
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been waiting for a Chromebook with a detachable keyboard w/o the 1K price of the pixel book. This one is the one to buy. it is well made. easy to type on and has Android apps. Only knocked a star because it is still not a 75% replacement for my Windows Surface. Pro's it is super fast and has a long battery life.

Great Chromebook, space feels limited
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are many good things with this Chromebook, including: Excellent stylus, great design, long battery life, quick performance, Intel chipset allows for Crostini (Linux) sub-system, and Android app support. The main con is that 32GB of memory can feel very restrictive after you have installed a few Android apps and the Linux system.

Chromebook Beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first venture into a Chromebook after owning many Android tablets from various manufacturers. I'm also an avid MacBook user and am a fan of OS X, however, I had been waiting patiently on a 2in1 device using ChromeOS and finally one arrived. Initial impressions after removing from the box is that it feels very sturdy and well built. The X2 also has a very pleasant appearance to it with a touch of looking high end (which it is concerning Chromebooks). Packing materials are at a minimum as there was some foam padding to hold the Chromebook, the power cord and adapter along with a couple pieces of literature. As I do with all rechargeable devices it received a full charge prior to powering it on for the first time. When it came time to boot up I hit the power button it fired right up and was ready for for the initial setup in under 10 seconds (estimated) which was completely impressive to me. The setup process is simple and in no time it was on the desktop. Being my first venture with a ChromeOS device I was a little unsure of my way around the operating system but I found it very easy to learn and understand. For a fellow first-timer it's important to know that a solid internet connection is needed for much of your everyday computing. After tinkering around for a couple of days getting comfortable I decided it was finally time to remove the screen from the keyboard. HP has made this extremely easy as there are two guide points for alignment and a connecting magnet in the middle. The guide points and magnet are built into the keyboard mechanism if your curious. After playing around with the functionality of the hinge I found that you have to remove the screen and flip it around if you wish to use it in tent mode since the hinge is not 180 degree capable but this is very easy to do. Overall I'm extremely happy with this purchase and have zero regrets after owning it for a couple of weeks.

Perfect for music page turning
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a professional musician (organ, harpsichord) and have tried several page turning options including an 18 inch all-in-one and a 10 inch FireHD along with USB or Bluetooth pedals. The 18 inch worked great but was heavy and battery life was just 2-3 hours. The smaller tablet was much lighter and worked well but the screen size was small for my older eyes especially if the music rack was too far away. On both options writing on the screen was not very accurate. This HP X2 seems address all those concerns. It is high resolution, being able to detach the screen from the keyboard means it is very light and fits perfectly on either a music stand or music rack, the included stylus is perfect for writing notations on the screen, the battery life is fantastic, the Bluetooth pedal works great, and the support for Android apps means that I can use MobileSheets Pro for my page turning needs. I also plan on taking it with me on vacations for web browsing and email, etc.

Great Tablet/PC Replacement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought to replace a Pixel C tablet that died and a HP PC that was over 6 years old. So far it has worked wonderfully.Battery life is good. Keyboard responsive. Pen is a nice feature and works well. As a tablet, it is a bit big but the flexibility of having both devices as one is worth it.

Loving it so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for an convertible chromebook that actually becomes a tablet this is it. For the price this is an awesome chromebook. The detachable hinge is great and gives a strong hold while the keyboard is solid. The additional pen that comes with it is a nice touch. Good heft. Screen is solid. Battery life has been ok. 2 issues with this chromebook. It does get hot on the left side of the screen after watching videos or being online for a while. 2nd complaint there are no accessories for the tablet to be found. I think the tablet is solid but to just pull it off and use it without a case is very hard for me to do. I find it strange that HP does not release a case for the tablet to be used by itself. I would still buy this again especially for the price and functionality.

Great little machine for what it is
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The screen is clear and bright. Movies and text look amazing. It's basically a Microsoft surface or a PixelBook for half the price. You get the great screen, great keyboard(Not thinkpad good, but comparable to most laptops) Webcam could be better. It's technically 12 MB rear and 3 front but the image quality is no where near as good as my iphone 7 that has similar specs, but I use the webcam to video call my kid so it works well for that, wish the low light was better but it's no worse than my windows 10 laptop that was about 900$. Lastly ChromeOS. I love it. I use my laptop mainly to video, internet, check email, maybe edit a picture sometimes. Works great for all that due to the android apps that work great. Also all the windows apps for free, and google equivalents. Also the way the use VM's Virtual machines/sandboxing..... what you need to know no matter what your kid does in they're partition they cant break or view anything on your login. Unless you use the external memory and put something on that, but internal storage is separate. Only negative there are bugs, but they are developing and adding things like crazy, and literally if you notice something weird it's usually fixed within a week, and they are adding significant new features.... did I mention I can charge and use this thing for days and it weights nothing so I just slip it in a sleeve and throw in my bag. Anyway I'd buy it again. and I'm in IT and use the Linux VM to teach myself python, I have a full development platform for less than half of a mac book, or setting up a duel boot system.

Great Chromebook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like most Chromebooks, the X2 has phenomenal battery life. The keyboard is solid and I love the convenience of converting it to a tablet. The pen makes annotating screen captures a breeze.

Great Chrome Book
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So happy with my purchase! I spent almost a month looking into a good laptop/tablet before making my decision. I have been a loyal Apple user for 10+ years. My current Macbook Pro 2009 did a great job for me through my college career and for misc work following that. Majority of my activities included school assignments (Word, Excel, and Powerpoints) social media, YouTube, and ESPN (for my boyfriend.) I decided I needed to upgrade my Macbook, as I am going back to school and find my MacBook to weigh down my backpack/purse. The neat thing is this is easily converted into a tablet. The keyboard is part of the package, which is amazing considering the price. I happen to come across this chromebook for $399, only to see it go back up to $599 a few days later. Even at $599, this is still cheaper then the Surface Pro and iPad, as you'd still have to purchase a keyboard. A major steal if you ask me! This HP chromebook tablet is perfect if you are looking for something to help you through school and for misc works including social media and YouTube. It's super light weight and easily mobile. Start up time is super fast. Cons include poor camera quality and the non-lit keyboard. No big deal on camera because I do not intend to ever use it. I also don't find the non-lit keyboard to even be a big deal, as I never used the lights on my keyboard for my MacBook. I would definitely recommend!

I love my chromebook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this chromebook, especially its really nice HD screen. It was a better value than the Google Pixelbook at the time. I liked that there is the tablet feature, but I have to admit, I don't use it as much as I thought I would. Same with the pen/stylus. But its nice to have that option. The keyboard and trackpad are both nice. Would be perfect it the keys were backlit. The entire laptop is on the heavy side so keep that in mind. No issues so far.

Really Fast, great keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first chromebook so I'm still learning about some of the limitations of Chrome versus Android since I bought this primarily as a tablet replacement. It is a little bulky as a tablet and Chrome still has some tablet kinks. But 90% of the time it is a great device. The keyboard is fantastic so you can easily use this as a laptop replacement if you do not need Windows specific applications. And the thing is super fast. No issues with performance at all with multiple apps and many tabs open in the browser. All in all a great device.

Nice design!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 2 in 1 design is excellent. The quality of materials is excellent. The screen is vibrant & colorful. The keyboard & pen are excellent. The pen holder is not so great, but it has one. It's heavy, which makes it feel substantial. The screen wobbles, but it doesn't have a kickstand which is nice. It's quick and reliable. I can imagine it would work well for someone to check their e-mail and browse the internet. The specs seem higher than what's needed for that. It runs Android and Linux apps well.

I WOULD RECOMNEND THIS PRODUCT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THIS HP CHROMEBOOK IS EXTREMELY FAST AND DOWNLOADS ANYTHING VERY QUICKLY! THE SCREEN RESOLUTION IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING @ (2400 X 1600 ) AS IS THE COLOR IS SO VERY INTENSE. THE DETACHABLE SCREEN WORKS JUST LIKE AN EXPENSIVE APPLE TABLET (BUT ONLY BETTER). THE BATTERY LIFE IS JUST OVER 10 HOURS MAKING THIS DEVISE TRULY PORTABLE!

Great, versatile Chromebook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am loving the true 2-in-1 versatility of this Chromebook. Being able to use the screen completely separately from the detachable keyboard as a tablet when I want to just play games really enhances the usability and desirability of this Chromebook system to me. It's very quick and easy to attach the keyboard when I need to do more lengthy typing. I am very pleased with my purchase, and recommend this Chromebook.

Good but overrated
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many reviewers raved about this so I bought it - it is indeed fast, and the tablet features are good - but I found I didn't use them. Implementation was imperfect - the dual camera was not well supported on slack or teams - and when you'd wiggle it even a little it would complain about critical updates needed for the keyboard. It's heavier than many chromebooks.

Excellent device
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can't say enough about this device. I use it for work, and the keyboard and stylus make it an excellent value. Performance is good, but over time the 4GB of RAM was just not enough, as I needed to run some Linux apps. I still use it for on-the-go use and any application that I need for taking notes, signing documents. Had to get the x360 for doing most real work.
