My son has an HP DV-7 laptop that is over 6 years old. When the screen first went out he replaced the inverter. Still there were issues with it not staying on consistently so he kept opening it up and finally was holding it together with a combination of superglue, duct tape, and hope. Still the screen died after a few months. He decided to continue to save up for a much better computer by buying this monitor as a quick, cheaper fix.It has worked out fantastically! The screen is bigger, brighter, and was easy to set up and connect. The only thing that would make it better would be if it was 1080p. And he still doesn't NEED to get that better computer. I am a bit of a cheapskate.

I needed a new monitor for my security system and wanted something compact but capable of good definition. My system is by no means high tech but you have to have a good monitor to see what is being recorded or reviewed and this monitor does exactly what I need well. It has a DVI input as well as SVGA and would have been given 5 stars if it had HDMI as well so I am limited to the SVGA connector for the security system but it does the job I needed it for. The sale price I got it for is a good price point. For the record I have 4 HP monitors and they hold up well.

Cannot complain about the screen. Colors were nice and bright. Very little negative to say. The monitor does not have HDMI input, but has VGA and DVI.

I love my new HP wide screen monitor. It is so much better than the square screen I used before. The colors seem to be more vibrant and it is easier to complete tasks in this format. I didn't know though that there were no speakers with the monitor, so I had to purchase them separately, which I'm glad I did, as I upgraded my sound. I'm very happy with this monitor and would recommend it to anyone using a desktop computer.

Purchased this monitor to pair with the HP slimline desktop, for a small business. They monitor works great and colors are nice. I just wish it would have come with an option for HDMI hookup. But for the price, I can't complain.

It's not the best choice of monitor I could have made, but so far I am pleased with the quality. It was easy to install and meets my needs. Yes, and thank you once again to the sales person that helped me with my purchase.

Went from a 19 inch one to this one. It's great for gaming and also for browsing the internet and the kids to do homework. Being on a tight budget every month, this was definitely a good choice and didn't break the bank.

Excellent picture quality at an affordable price and I would recommend this monitor to anyone with high expectations. This is one of the best purchases I have made this year.

Very sharp picture quality, easy to set up, I have around 12 of these and have not had any problems.

the color is good the pictures show up clear it does ok only problem I have is when I move the monitor to show someone something it comes unplugged from the pc.

Great monitor for the price. Picture is very clear and detailed. Very easy to hook up even for someone who has no clue what they are doing. Can't believe we waited so long to swap our monitor for a newer HD model. Definitely a good choice. Recommend it for anyone with an older monitor.

The HP monitor was very reasonably priced n does a great job providing colorful screen images.

Good screen quality. Good color, if viewed from directly in front. At an angle screen loses color and seems fuzzy.

The moniter has great picture quality and is fairly thin. The controls on it are also fairly easy to use.
