I'm really not happy with how long this ink lasts. It seems like it only last for maybe 8 weeks and then the ink dries up and it tells you that there's no more ink. I wish I got a different brand of printer
I am very sorry to hear that you received a cartridge that has ink that seems to have been used up too quickly. I can understand why you are unhappy!
Here are a few tips that might help: - A high-density print (like a photo) will use the ink more quickly than a low-density print (a text-only document), especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry. - Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help save ink. Please note though that black ink is used a lot in almost every single print job. - Shutting the printer down between uses can help. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' itself so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying. - If you suspect there was something wrong with the cartridge, you are always free to contact the seller.
If none of those tips work, and if a defective genuine HP cartridge is not replaced by the seller and is still within the warranty end dates on the cartridge, you can reach out to us for support: hp.com/contactHP

Extra Capacity - GOOD

Cartridge does have more capacity to print what I need and has more capacity over the standard capacity.
Hi, It seems you are encountering two different things. Neither are outcomes we desire for our customers. As for the drying cartridges, habits are the most important factor. Turn off the printer when not printing. Be wary of printing designs, graphics, photos, or other items with a lot of ink. Cleaning the printhead of clogs sometimes helps with cartridges that are dry. This will potentially solve the banding issue as well. If not, cleaning the print rollers might help. -Amanda HP Care hp.com/support/

Not as good as they used to be

These ink cartridges seem to have less ink than they used to or they dry up faster than they used to.
It is concerning that you aren't receiving the results you want with the cartridges. I'm sorry you did not have an enjoyable experience with these cartridges. Cartridge output varies based on usage. Some factors include the type of print, colors printed, paper type, and the temperature of the room. Lots of text, graphics, and photos use the most ink. Avoid thicker paper or photo paper, as they use more ink. Summer is cooling down, but ensure the room isn't hot or dry. I hope these tips help.

I think it is ridiculous how little ink seems to be in these cartridges. They should be embarrassed to this is a way of doing business. I am never buying another hp printer again.

I have bought this item many times, This time the ink must have been dried up in some way. I have printed out about 6 pages and it is saying my ink is low.

Well, I bought this ink in April 2022. The box says the ink is good until August of 2023. When I installed the ink, now in November, it is no good at all. Proof? Another cartridge worked fine. And, I'm told, that I can't exchange it at Best Buy because it's been too long. A $40 purchase -- wasted..
Finding out a cartridge is defective six months later is an annoyance. Luckily, this type of disappointment is avoidable if you check the cartridge as soon as you get it. If you prefer, check out the Best Buy return policy. Listed here, www.bestbuy.com/site/help-topics/return-exchange-policy/, it explains everything you would need to know.

Hp ink cartridges are the most expensive, and do not last long enough. Stuck having to buy until I can buy a different brand printer like Brother.
I am sorry that you are not getting longer lasting usage of your cartridges. I hope to help make them last longer for you.
Provided the cartridge is not damaged or defective, the ink usage will determine how long it will last. High-density prints (like photos) will require more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
That said, I have a few tips that might help: - You can use the printer's draft mode and black-only settings, whenever possible, to save ink. - Instant Ink might be worth a try. Many customers like our available plans. They're based on how many pages you print monthly, You can check out the details at: HPinstantink.com - Shutting the printer down between uses can help; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That lets the printer ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying. - If you suspect that the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you are always free to contact the seller.

I had to return this cartridge to Best Buy. Your curbside service is great, and your associates very hard working--please let them know!! Because an XL black cartridge was not in stock the associate had to offer me one black & one tri-color cartridge which I purchased. However, I will still run out of ink sooner than I wanted because of the regular black cartridge instead of my desired XL.
