Great quality ink and it was easy to install in my HP printer. Great buy.

The cartridge works as advertised. My only issue is that I bought this cartridge at my Best Buy store. It was one of the few they had left. The store employee advised me that when they run out they are not stocking them anymore. He advised that HP cartridges would have to be purchased online from then on. I like stopping in at my Best Buy store to look around and buying ink cartridges gives me an excuse to go. I guess I won't be stopping in as much in the future.

I like the fact that you can get this ink in a larger size. It lasts much longer, especially if you have to print many items. Easy to install in the printer.

Old news by now but you can buy a $100 printer but spend that much each month on ink. This yield is similar to yields from other brands. Installing the toner is very easy.

Ink quality itself is nice but it’s not that much different in quality than other inks and this does not last very long at all. It definitely does not give as many prints as it claims. I didn’t even reach the lowest quantity is says, and in fact didn’t even get half of what it claimed. For this being the XL version I should have been able to print way more than the I’ve printed with the standard size however I didn’t even reach the amount of prints as the standard size version either. The price is also way too high in my opinion for this ink. In addition this ink is extremely hard to find. I was lucky I even got this one cartridge because it has been out of stock not only through Best Buy but also through HP directly for a few months now. Last thing I want to say I’m my review is that depending on your printer, you have to have not only this black ink but also will need the color ink in order to print. You cannot print with just black ink even if it’s only black you’re printing. So be sure to check your printer version before purchasing this ink.
I am sorry that the cartridge didn’t last long for you. The advertised estimates of pages are based on a standard set of prints used by the industry. How each individual cartridge will perform for you is determined by your own usage and environmental factors.
Normally, ink usage determines how long a cartridge lasts. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is very absorbent and the air is dry.
Here are some things that might help lower your ink costs: - Black is used a lot in almost every printout. Use the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black and colored ink - Using the black-only setting will save on colored ink usage. - Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying. - Shutting the printer down between uses will save electricity and a few drops of ink here and there that are used to keep the inkjets cleared and ready for your next print job. - Instant Ink lets you pay by the page. Check out the details at the HP Instant Ink site.
The seller is responsible for the product they sent to you. When you receive a cartridge that is low to begin with, or doesn't work long because of a defect, please check about returning it to the seller.

The 902 black ink works great. However the day after I installed the cartridge the printer died and I had to buy a new printer, I purchased a Envy Inspire. This printer works very well, really happy with it.

I'm so happy I decided to purchase this from Best Buy instead of Staples as the expiration date is a long way off. With Staples, you can't buy an ink cartridge to keep on hand just in case you run out cause by the time you need it it's already expired and the print quality is awful. So, from now on it's Best Buy for me.
