    Nobody likes buying printer ink. The XL versions help a little bit and you have to buy the OEM ink otherwise you're asking for trouble. All in all, it is what it is and unless you print a lot using the new Ink subscription is not cost effective.

    Have to use the XL.. printer runs out so quickly if not - seems to last much longer and that makes me happy! Just wish the printer would still let you scan if you were out of ink.. why does it need ink to scan?
