I bought this for my dad who is a recent retiree. He wanted a simple printer that he could use to print out forms, as needed. Per the reviews, I thought this would be a great choice. When it works.... it's great. It does the job. Unfortunately, it only works when it feels like it. I have connected it by bluetooth, to the Wi-Fi, and even ordered a cord for it to be connected manually to the laptop he prints from... and it only works about 50% of the time. Almost every time we want to use it, it has to be reconnected- meaning you have to go thru the set up as if its brand new. We have moved it around the house, thinking that it had a bad connection due to location... and still, it struggles to work. I wish I could give this a better review. For the record, it is connected to a Dell Inspiron laptop (also brand new). I also got the HP app, which should have helped, and even the agents online couldn't figure out what's wrong with it. Bummer.

Got a great sale price on this printer, but had problems setting it up for use with new HP laptop. College dorm does not allow wireless printing, so we had to go with a cable. Finally got it to work.

Love this compact printer but seemed to start having problems in how it printed documents and could figure it out.

Needed an inexpensive printer as my old one died. This is a decent quality for the price and the ink is mostly reasonably priced compared to others.

This printer works great for us.copy, scan and print! Changing cartridges is when you need to tread lightly. It's a little tricky

i am so disappointed. just received this printer today and the printer carriage is stuck on the left, wont move to center to be able to load the ink, I went on several forums including HP's own support site and found out this is a common problem with this printer. They actually have a piece of plastic that holds the cartridges back from moving. needless to say, it wont budge and while I want to throw it out the window, I will be returning it and will no longer buy anything from HP again.

So many connection issues! I've had it for a little over a month, and I have had to call HP about 4 times to help me connect it. It's not compatible with 5G, and it didn't come with an USB which left me stuck without a printer while I was trying to get through to HP Support. Once I got it connected, it is a nice printer. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done. And I really like the app which let's me scan, copy and save projects. Overall, I don't recommend.
