I ordered SKU: 1647079 which is listed as HP EliteBook 8440p with built-in webcam, it arrived minus a webcam. It looked good at first, then I spent half the day running updates and loading all my software to then discover Win7 wasn't loading a built-in webcam? I spent several hours trying to load the webcam drivers and software from the HP website, checking with Microsoft and HP for compatibility issues, then I found out there is no webcam on the laptop I received?!?! There is a little lens the HP tech called an Internal Display Switch (the light sensor that turns off display when the lid is closed) that has a small clear lens and I thought it was the webcam but was not. HP Tech said the webcam was an option for EliteBook 8440p and mine has a solid plastic plug in the spot where the webcam should be (no webcam clear lens). Check out the attached picture. BestBuy will return but time is money and I spent a day that I can't recover because BestBuy didn't to double check their listing or verify my laptop before shipping it to me.

The computer is exactly what I need it to be: speedy, but not overly fancy. The one problem I have is the condition it reached me in. It had obviously sat unprotected on a shelf for quite a while and just gotten a quick wipe before being boxed. All of the internal ports are VERY dusty. It doesn't keep it from functioning, but when I received it it was in need of a disassemble and cleaning. I would recommend the laptop itself, but not the "certified refurbished"

This offered a nice processor, decent RAM for the money, however it was advertised with a webcam and it definitely does not have one. The keyboard is warped also. usable but warped. How disappointing.

quick to start up. refurbished so I had to go through and update a bunch of drivers upon receipt so that the programs would work. once that was done, all seems to be well. battery life is shorter than advertised.

Excellent business style laptop. Very sturdy case. Runs cold and quiet. Booted computer and went through automated windows 7 setup without any trouble. The system is not littered with software either, only had one antivirus program which uninstalled without a problem.

The refurbished computer came with a battery that lasted only 42 minutes from full charge to empty. When the computer was left off for three days, the battery charged trickled away. Fortunately Best Buy has an excellent return policy. I took the laptop back to the store and traded for a brand new HP laptop. The difference in price was only $30. So buying a used computer is not really a good value.

HDMI output required adapter to function and this anomaly was not disclosed in the technical details of the purchase. I found this out after not being able to plug in my hdmi cable from the Geek Squad at my local BB. To BBs credit the unit was returned and full credit was given.

Missing the built-in webcam for the second time. I returned the last one from a few weeks ago that was missing the webcam, BB advised that since it was a refurbished laptop they do not check the system config before shipping. I reordered a second on the chance it was a fluke and the second one arrived today with out a webcam but it did have a finger print scanner which I didn't expect. This one also has some scratches and dings that the first one didn't have. Good luck.

its referbished but working like new always when i turn it on very quick goes to windows i realy like it , Even open three browsers still work proper.

Bought this computer for kids. Nicely priced for the specs and been running great. This was a refurbished product, can't say if all refurbished products will be as good as this but I'm very satisfied with this computer.

Had to immediately return. Had an unauthorized version of Windows 7. Poor packaging. Best Buy promptly refunded.

Win7 refurbished unit was purchases to replace a Win8.1 laptop. Nothing outstanding to note except the Bluetooth will not recognize my BT mouse. (Maybe not entirely refurbished?)

A great machine for the money. Clear screen, compact, nice case, good speed, only minor issue it that the battery like is a little less than I like, but overall good value

nice easy transaction so far so good ! don't know if I like mike in the middle of keyboard! I always trust hp ! love windows 7 ! that's my whole primary reason for ordering this laptop ! I have 8.1 hate it !

Got these laptops for work and they have done great.. One was a little dirty, but the others looked new..

the F &Q were uneven from the get go ! otherwise ok computer !

Had non-authorized Windows. Overheats and shuts down Wan''t 'wiped'' properly. Wi-fi quits periodically.I had to contact MS support to get it workinng properly.
