To start, I installed a SSD hard drive in it so it runs at the speed of light. SUPER fast with an SSD. It's shocking how fast. Never had a computer as fast. Beyond that, I got this computer to be able to run the Adobe Creative Suite without a hitch and run large files without a hitch with the option to game on it. No loading times for Adobe at all, again, it's the SSD. I highly recommend getting one installed. Great computer. Good touch screen response. I adjusted the mouse pad to move a bit faster but good response there too. Bright screen, nice back lit keyboard. Lighter than my last 17in computer. Nice and sleek. The only bad thing I have to say about this computer is as an audio freak, I was dissapointed in the sound. Previous computer had beats audio...there is a huge difference in sound quality. All owners of beats and a good set a headphones will hear it. You can tweak Band & Olufsen sure, but it doesn't sound nearly as good. I guess it's ok for your average user though. Doesn't sound bad with the sound out of the actual computer, but I find there's way too much treble with headphones. Too crisp with headphones. I'm giving it 5 stars only because I can't give it 4.5 for the audio. Other than that, it's the perfect computer for creatives.

Love this laptop and how it packs a punch compared to competing brands. I've searched high and low and found this model to provide all the bells and whistles I was looking for; superior hard drive space, memory and processor speed. Although I didn't necessarily want touch screen, I think I can get used to this one very quickly :-). I'm still trying to understand the MAJOR differences and whether they matter between this model and model number m7-n101dx, which is now on sale for $100 less. I was not able to find a Best Buy representative at the store that could convincingly explain the differences and both models appear to have identical features and specs.

I had an older version HP that I was using for DJ equipment in a club, after I had to reboot my program during the night I decided to look for another Laptop - I came across this one - the power, speed and control this one has, has exceeded my expectations! easy set up and great quality!

This laptop is very fast and easy to use. I really like the touch screen and the backlit keyboard. A few glitches since upgrading to Windows 10 but I can't really blame that on the laptop!

After getting the unit from another store...Turned it on two days ago and loaded all the important Windows 8.1 updates. Loaded and tested all my softwares I have been using on my old laptops (2), Canon camera , Brother printer, Bluetooth feature for my Bose speaker and HP printer.. Everything is working great and fast... Now let's see if there is a need to upgrade the OS to Windows 10.. I am a little bit skeptical because I have tried it on my old laptop and it gave me a few problems on drivers... If my programs work well on Windows 8.1,, I will not migrate to Windows 10...

I really like this laptop. It has great sound and a crisp screen. I use this for school. It does exactly what I need and more :)

Okay, so I've had this computer for approximately 3 hours. The screen is already glitching and flickering. I looked the problem up online and it seems that HP has a long history with malfunctioning LCD cables? I don't know if that's what the problem is, but it should be an easy fix. I was originally looking at the HP - ENVY 17.3" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 12GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - Natural Silver, but the sales associate that helped me said that this would be a better choice because only difference is the inside color and an additional 4 gigs of memory for an extra 30 or so dollars so I said sure, ring me up. It wasn't until I got home that I realized this model does not come with BeatsAudio, instead it has Bang & Olufsen speakers which I'm not familiar with, but looking at their website they appear to be higher end. Is this supposed to be an upgrade, or did they get some wiggle room in the price for the additional 4GB by switching them out? Either way, you could get better sound with a soup can and a string. Beats speakers were a major selling point for me and these are most definitely not making the cut. Everything else about this computer is great so far, but I think I'm going to take it back for the other model. Maybe it's just personal preference, but it's an issue too big for me to overlook.

Great peice of hardware... HP would have out done themselves if only they had installed an SSD or at least 7200rpm spinning hard drive. Otherwise this thing is fast and feels solid! For the $$ you really can't go wrong, just upgrade the hard drive to an SSD and it will fly!

The machine works flawlessly except for the battery life, which is quite short.

Very satisfied. Love the backlit keyboard and the speakers. I can't believe that "Beats" is better than "B&O" speakers like one or two have said. When you fine tune the audio to your personal taste they are the best laptop speakers that I have heard.

I loved the store display and brought on tax free weekend and had $150 off I waited a week to open it and found out it was damage looking through the plastic. I had a hard time with this computer exchange because they sent this version computer back to warehouse and had the new version in stock from long driving and store managers plus calls . I finally got the new version with window 10 but, sadly they need to pack laptop better than they do. But, so far this a awesome computer everything I need in one. Luv HP :).

This has been an amazing computer. I love the large size . Perfect for editing photos.

i have returned 3 of these laptops the first two had mouse pad issues the third had a screen flickering issue and would not sleep/hibernate or turnoff when lid was closed. (yes settings where checked) computer has great specs and is pretty fast but poorly assembled
