I am not at all tech savvy but this is user friendly. Update to windows 10 was very smooth. I bought this because I wanted a larger screen to use with my die cutting machine, and because I'm old lol. I get frustrated easy and the amount I have experienced has been minimal meaning if you know anything at all about computers this will make you very happy.

This is my first HP laptop purchase and so far it has been good. This laptop is full featured with all of the media needed for work and play. It is sturdy but a little heavy. However considering that is lacks no features and carries a 17.3 in HD screen I am alright with the weight. I would recommend this laptop to anyone that is looking to replace their desktop with a full featured mobile device. There is also a free upgradeto Windows 10.

Great specs for the price you pay, especially the processor and RAM. An SSD would be a nice addition, but those can be easily swapped out and it keeps the entry price low. Build quality is nice, not super high end but it does the job. The speakers aren't half bad for a laptop either, but you'll definitely want to mess around with the EQ since the default had way too much bass. Overall a solid machine for a great price, and if you swap out the HDD for an SSD, this thing will be blazing fast.

It is very fast with great sound and picture ... little heavy, but to be expected for the large size.

Thought the days of internal DVD drives were over when I started looking after 5 years with old laptop. Then found this gem with all that and double the RAM of most, an awesome graphics card, and the new I7-5500. Had to do a Double-take when <$1000.00 for all that in a 17" laptop! Performs great. Love the backlit keyboard as well. Really cannot go wrong with this one! For a while at least..............Nobody doing it better.

This is a great laptop that is good for just about anything you'd like to use it for. The additional memory and increased hard drive size were key factors in my decision to purchase it. It easily upgraded to Windows 10 as well. Haven't had any issues with it at all.

Love the laptop n programs it came with I don't even have to buy anything I love the ease of use the keyboard everything is so comfortable the clarity of the photos everything is perfect I did a lot of research and I'm glad I did because I pick the best laptop out there

It had been over 5 years since I bought a computer, and I was initially surprised that nearly all models are laptop-touchscreen/tablet hybrids now. Ultimately, it's great - easy to use, etc. Biggest complaint is the slow start-up script, and delayed operating response at start-up and once it's been on and operating for a few hours. I'm always frustrated when I feel like I'm thinking faster than the machine...

Excellent large screen laptop with all the features. Graphics are very good

First of all, its price is unbelievably cheap with such a powerful spec. i7 core with 16gb ram is perfect for doing anything. It can be a good laptop for college students if they want a big laptop. This laptop also runs most of the games pretty smoothly.

Love the large screen. Windows 10 is a joy to use.

This machine had the specs I needed for CAD work...i7, 16 gb ram and a graphics card. It works every bit as well as expected (hoped for!) and at a price $300 less than another machine I was considering. Nice features, lighted keyboard and a cd/dvd drive to boot! Very satisfied with this purchase!

This is a great PC, the screen is great and the video as well [several people have commented they get great video on skype when talking to me]

This is the perfect PC for anyone with a photography business. Huge HD, 16GB RAM, excellent video card and i7 processor. Fast response and touch screen is amazing.

Much better than the Samsung I previously had. This HP envy is so much more powerful and more responsive. The Intel i7 is a gem as is the integrated invida graphics card. The touch screen and the tablet conversion features are also slick and top notch. Overall, a really nice piece of technology.

This laptop had everything I was looking for: larger screen, NVIDIA graphics card, cd/dvd drive, lots of hard drive space and RAM. The only I didn't like is it did not come pre-loaded with Windows 10.
