This is a good, reliable AIO printer. At the price pint I didn't expect to find one with a document feeder for scanning or copying, so I can't complain about those features missing. We don't print much but it seems like it goes through ink quicker than it should - both color and black. Easy set up was a plus.

I've had the HP - Envy 5540 Wireless All-In-One Printer - Black for about a month. Set up was very easy. This is my first wireless printer and so I had never done a wireless printer setup but had no trouble on the computer (Mac) or Iphone.

I like the printer. However, when printing off my PC, I always have problems. I have to keep turning off the printer and messing with my PC for things to print. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Why didn't it come with a USB cable to plug into my PC? I would like to have that even though it's wireless.

Bought my Envy 5540 a year ago to replace an old HP printer that lasted many years. It's really handy to have a built in scanner, copying and photo options included with the printer. All functions continue to work without issues. I just wish the ink cartridges would last longer and were not so expensive.

Within a week my computer said that it wasn't connected to my printer

When purchasing my new computer this was a discounted package that I hadn't considered at first. Since it was replacing a printer that had a fax built in I am missing the facing capabilities now. I have had some problems with the wireless networking but am not sure yet if that is the fault of the printer or not.

I am very happy with this printer. It does what I need. It is nicely compatible to my Apple devices and reacts promptly to commands from anywhere in my house; unlike my old printer. So glad I made this purchase. I waited too long. And the price was right. The salesman helped me make a good choice.

This printer is awesome. I had been waiting awhile to purchase a new one. I have been very pleased. I am teacher and the idea of having color print outs for cheaper than printing black and white. The ink service is what sold me over

The reason for purchasing this machine was because my other "all-in-one" printer mysteriously went kaput after owning it less than 3 years. I went in to Best Buy hoping for a trade-in or credit toward a new one. No dice. We customers are at the eternal mercy of poor quality, rapid obsoletion and misleading "guarantees" when it comes to technology! While this new HP hooked up seamlessly to my computer it has a problem printing on paper of different texture and weight, a problem I've never had before. Because of this glitch I've had to re-print several times, thus making the machine register that I've actually used more paper than I have. Most of us have to struggle to scrape up enough money just to purchase these much-needed devices. I expect a brand new machine of this supposed caliber to work perfectly. Beyond disheartening.

I've already put this printer to good use printing from my computer, I-pad and even photos from my phone. It handles double-sided printing as well as single with ease. My only complaint is I wish the ink cartridges lasted longer. I have put XL cartridges in now so will probably be happier.

I bought it because consumer reports rated it highly and didn't waste a lot of ink. So far it has done a good job. Print quality is good, but not as good as my last hp that had a higher resolution for photos. For my needs I am willing to give up a little on print quality in order to save money on ink.

We use this printer in our home with wireless connection to several computers. Copy feature works fine. Scan feature is easy to use and prompts you through several options.

Wonderful. We have children that live away and they can email pictures of our grandchildren to the printer from their phones and they print out at our house. The quality of the pictures are superb! We love the copying on both sides of the paper also. The ink plan works very well for us.

Love this printer. I don't print things frequently and was frustrated with my old printer because the ink would keep drying out. This printer is great for my needs - no dry ink!

I bought this printer, but it failed to print properly within the store's 15-day return policy, so I took it back and I was directed to go choose another HP Printer (same model) from the shelf and it works flawlessly! Happy now. I am confident in HP quality, and this scanner/printer is terrific!

I was looking for a printer that wasn’t super expensive, but also not super cheap (you get what you pay for), to do occasional printing of docs at my apartment. I’m cheap and don’t pay for WiFi or cable so I didn’t have any way to st it up I actually had to take the printer to a friends place along with my computer to download the installation software. They should include a installation disk so you can download the software to a computer without an internet connection. Not everyone has internet. Other than that which as far as I’m concerned is worth 2 stars since it was such a huge inconvenience for me, I think it’s a great printer for the price range. Also not very user friendly in terms of telling you how to set it up. Kind of figure it out as you go. Oh well.

I prefer my OLD (purchased in '08) 3-in-1 HP printer which took less desktop space & worked simpler, faster; but such is no more. This one does the job well enough once you get your OLD ('07) computer upgraded to handle it & your old brain adapted to the different means of operation.

When my old HP printer died I wasn't sure I wanted another one since it was very noisy and drank ink. The ink cartridges were very expensive. This one was on sale so I bought it and I'm very glad I did. Works like a charm and the ink is half the price of my old printer. Whoopee!

When I first started looking, it was important for me to find something easy to install. The first customer service person was not very familiar with the printers and suggested something that was not compatible with my mac. Had to go back and get this one. I was happy then!

We was at the point of just had to have a new printer this seemed to be the best buy for what we needed and our purposes along with space We haven't been able to get it to blue tooth to our devices so its only via a laptop and optic line tie to print at this point but hope to learn more.
