Great printer for making color copies. It also good for printing photos

This is a great printer for the price. A little slow but I couldn't pass a sale.

the printer worked fine for most jobs, but it would not accomplish what I bought it for. I needed it to print on 110 lb cardstock, and it would not work consistently well for that. The alignment would work well for a while, and then the image would only print halfway. Returned it, and will try another hp product

If you are looking for a printer that is easy to set up, delivers ink automatically (NO LAST MINUTE INK EMERGENCIES!), and prints consistent quality, this is it. The Envy 5540 is perfect for basic household and schoolwork/homework printing and scanning. The last printer we bought lasted about a year and a half and was a pain from the beginning. The printer heads clogged constantly, and the ink seemed to run out quickly. But the Envy 5540 comes with an automatic ink delivery based on how many pages you think you will print each month. Our former unreliable printer always seemed to be out of ink at the most crucial moment (i.e. the night before a research paper was due). But with this we paid a flat rate, and the ink magically appears before we need it. Best thing EVER. And then there's the setup, which was the easiest setup in the history of printing. As a bonus, all the features work just like they're supposed to! Phones and laptops connected and printed immediately. Oh, and there's an app for the phone that was a cinch to set up. I don't normally get this excited about an inkjet printer, but every time it prints and scans (from my phone even!) I marvel at how well everything is designed. I wish there were six stars. Highly recommend this printer!
