Needed to replace older model HP. This printer filled all the needs, allowing access by both USB cable and wirelessly. Only one color and one black cartridge required, which is nice.

This HP printer is a good one. It is not thefastest but it does do a nice job of making photos look pretty good. It's also good with just everyday printing. Good printer for the money.

Wireless printers are a must have now and I had to upgrade because my HP couldn't print from my iPhone. With this you can print from any of your devices, not just your laptop.

Managed to pick this up on Deal of the Day where the price was as low as retirement inks for my primary printer. Like the features it offers and very simple to install and use!

Just what I needed to replace my older HP from about 8 years ago. This one has AirPrint and works with all my Apple devices seamlessly. Great printing and scanning as well.

    Average Hardware; Poor Software

Over the years, I have had, or purchased for college aged children, several printers. I keep coming back to HP, despite the high cost of ink, because of quality. I have noticed materials getting thinner and cheaper, but other than that, the printer carriage and main housing are sufficient for home use. Initial setup for print and scan was not too difficult; although that was two different downloads. Air print was a little more confusing, and it required yet another downloaded program. Three programs just to do what the printer is intended to do? That's absurd! The real issues are: setup and settings for various print setups ( Avery stationery settings, envelopes, etc) are difficult to access. They require quite a lot of search. One would think that it would be included with on screen commands directly on the printer. (There are commands for downloading other documents and forms.) No, not there. Not included in settings. In paper size, there is an envelope setting, but it didn't work. The help screen? That refers you to the online help manual, which requires you to sit back at your computer, because they no longer include a printed manual. As it turned out, I finally reached what I wanted through print drop down boxes in the software, but it was not as easy as in past HP printers. Should a printer touted for air print and remote printing require settings from a computer? Er, no. Also note: these settings are not included in the print app by HP. ) So.... 30 minutes later, mission accomplished. But, wait! One would think the printer would default back to standard letter size. Noooooo! After several unsuccessful prints of documents, I had to go through the obtusely configured print options to scroll through many options, to find letter. Flipping back and forth to online manual to project at hand - a process that in previous printers only required the appropriate selection in Word, now had multiple steps. A lot of the frustration would have been eliminated had the User Manual been more easily accessible. Also, through my own lack of observation when I purchased, this printer will not handle any paper larger than 8-1/2 x 11". Forget legal! Just a heads up!

Bought an Epson printer, I was very disappointed. It was very slow and always faulty. I opted for an HP, going 2 years and never has any issue.

I got it for 59.99 thanks to price-match policy at Best Buy. The printer is very good as my previous 8610. Besides it comes with 3 month instant ink from HP. Very nice!

This printer replaced one that "frizzed" within my warranty and it is much better and easier to set up and use! I like the fact that it has a three-part color cartridge.
