my experience with this model is a bit mix, the 1st laptop had hardware issues with the audio, so I exchanged it after 2 days, then the 2nd had issues running too hot and the fan was very loud, so I exchanged after 1 day, finally the 3rd is been good, i had to do a clean windows 10 install (you have the option under updates and settings to download and wipe clean) now it runs way better than with the HP crapware. this is a must for all laptops and PC's just let windows re-download all the drivers and visit the HP site for any that it didn't download (mine did all) just downloaded the HP 3D Guard for the Hard Drive shock protection. that seem a good utility. but the HP Cool-max keeps your CPU fan running a high most of the time, if you are in a quiet environment that can be annoying because the fan is loud when running at max, but if is a bit noisy you might not even notice it. the CPU seems to be good, decent graphics and nice display. I wish this laptop had either a hybrid HD so it can have SSD memory and spinning plates, or a SSD and HD for storage, but seems HP is too cheap to include a 2nd HD header, and they opted for a 7200rpm that still is slow. i can believe my 4 yr old Asus x502 with a Pentium 2110u 4GB RAM and a optional 240GB SSD is actually faster on everything compared to this new laptop. and HP make it extremely difficult to upgrade the HD on this... why? I love the looks, the feel and quality, but I feel it should had a easy access to the RAM and HD for upgrades.

So, i switch from AMD to intel to get it a shot with the I7 and it was ok. All the hype behind intel chips and etc, i gave it a shot and i can say i wasn't impress at all. Finally got tired of long load times and taking forever for programs to load or render photos in photoshop or other video editing programs, i made up my mind to go back to something i actually know and that was AMD. After buying this laptop and comparing hardware specs to a laptop i brought that cost over 1,300.00 dollars, This HP hands down beat it in every benchmark test and i notice a difference in speed and when i used a lot of hardcore programs as autocad and photoshop, this labtop handle it with a breeze! I'm glad im back with the hardware i know that work flawless right out the box without the need of over clocking or upgrading something and all under half of the price tag of my previous laptop.
So far, i had this laptop now for almost a month and every time i use it, it finds a way to make me say wow. Very happy with my purchase.

Bought this laptop for personal home use. I do some picture editing with Adobe on it as well. I thought because of the AMD hardware it would perform well, but honestly it’s just not great. After having it for a bit, the battery life went down very quickly, to the point it last up to one hour before it needs to be charged again. Also the computer runs slow. I don’t have anything on the laptop that would make it run slow, I even have cleanup software in case there was a program that was slowing down my laptop, but even after that it still runs slow, especially when you turn it on. It also gets hot, the fan is located on the bottom and doesn’t help cool the laptop when you have it sitting on a desk, poor design flaw there. The sleek design and quiet keys, as well as the tablet style screen are the only things that make this laptop good. I would not recommend this laptop, definitely a waste of money and a shame because I switched from Dell to this thinking it would be better brand and product.

I bought this computer because I liked the color and the feel to it. Its very beautiful and i love the track pad. Its an elegant computer and a not so expensive price. The sound quality of the speakers is also good. What makes it even better is the fact that its a 2 in 1. I really liked it but i had to return it because there were some cons that i just could not live with. To start off, this computer gets heated super fast. Its not super hot but its noticeably hot after moderate use. Another thing is the fan is too loud. I did some research and apparently this is how it works and the only way to get the fan to not be as loud is to turn it off. Which i dont think is a very good idea. ps even on energy saving mode the fan was still very loud. This computer also tends to loose charge very fast. It went for only about 3 hours of standard usage (youtube videos, email and regular use of computer) and this is just not good enough for me. These were big deal breakers and i just had to take it back. If you can live with the above then you should be fine.

In my line of work, I have to do a lot of commuting, so this is great and fast for emails, social media, and downloading files. I also have to upload and download tons of files throughout the day, so the RAM and Memory on this have worked out well so far. I do love the versatility of it as well - I use this as a table on occasion and the touch screen is really great for the little bit of graphic work that I have to do on this device.

I was debating on a laptop for quite a while! Great purchase, excellent graphics and easy to use. It is ideal to have the number keypad on the side as well as on top. The laptop does seem to warm up a bit quickly though. Other than that, I have no complaints whatsoever. And no, there is no DVD player included... You have to buy the attachment! Switching over to tablet mode is also a big bonus! Overall, this is a GREAT laptop!!!

I bought this to replace an 8-year old laptop that was really slowing down and was very choosy about what it downloaded. Though the HP does get much hotter than my old one, it's fast. And the learning curve for Windows 10 was not as sharp as I had feared. The new HP has memory I will never be able to fill. I have the choice of mouse or touch screen. I am still exploring all it can do, but I'm pretty satisfied.

This laptop was at a great clearance price. It performs very well for everyday use. It does indeed get hot but from what I understand any AMD chip does.

The touch screen on this computer is great. In college so, the tablet function is great I can lay this flat and take notes or lay in bed with it propped up and watch my movies. The screen is easy to use and has a beautified picture. Loads of memory!

Was a great laptop for every day and school use. I use it for gaming as well and the graphics are good. In school I need it for programming and it runs the software well. Only complaint is that sometimes the mousepad sticks and is unresponsive for a few tries. The touch feature is very handy and makes scrolling a breeze.

This laptop was sleek and lightweight. I purchased the laptop for my daughter to take to college. The laptop has a fast processor and large memory capacity for the college work load. I like the look and was able to find a laptop sleeve to store it when not in use. The screen is wide and has clear graphics for fun and work.

While this laptop certainly isnt the best out there, seeing as I got it on sale for a measly $500, I am completely satisfied with my purchase. While out of box there was a issue with the disk usage being at a constant 100%, after a quick google search, I was able to find the solution to fixing it, and now I can enjoy my laptop! Works great for school work, web browsing, videos, light games and programming.

This is my first touchscreen laptop, so I'm late to the game. I've had the Envy a few months now, and I absolutely love it. I wanted the touchscreen for my artwork, but I didn't research this model first, so I only discovered after the fact that it doesn't support active stylus. Even passive stylus is almost unusable for anything but tapping. It is solid, though. Stepping out from budget laptops, I didn't realize how much of a difference a metal case made. My other plastic laptop feels frail in comparison. As for performance, I don't think my review would help any but likewise novice users. That said, I have no problem running PS, Steam games, and web browsers simultaneously, and I'm happy with my purchase, despite the stylus issue.

I'm happy so far with my computer. I purchased it before I had to as my current Toshiba is 7 years old and still going strong, but I wanted to be prepared as it's showing its age. This HP Envy is sleek and so far has done all the tasked I have required from it. I haven't used the 360/touch feature at all but videos and On Demand TV look great with a very sharp picture. I love the lighted keyboard. The only thing I don't like is that it is a bit noisier than my Toshiba. The fan kicks on A LOT and it seems like a loud fan to me, at least compared to what I have had in the past. Also, I'm not happy with the Windows 10 which came on it. The constant freezing with 1 minute delays when I save things takes away a lot of the joy from having a new computer.

Purchased this all in one to replace a laptop and a tablet/transformer book. Does NOT overheat like the salesperson told me it did. Has ran cool when multitasking including using Photoshop with 12 open chrome tabs and multiple other apps running. Nothing will ever replace my desktop but this all in one has definitely checked all the boxes in replacing two other pieces of my rolling office!! So happy with this purchase. My one complaint is that I purchased open box and the warranty had ran down by three months when I purchased it and even though they said they factory reset it, apparently that did not reset the warranty. Other than that, I really love this Envy. I feel like it will last me many years.
