A solid computer for budding professionals
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a new laptop because I was working a lot more. I previously had 4 gigs of ram and a 500 gig drive. So in terms of memory, this computer more than fulfilled my needs. Because I've transitioned from making videos for school to now creating them for work, I usually dump files on to this laptop, then move everything to an external hard drive. Because of the size of this hard drive, it's really easy to do. The screen is good quality, but not 4k. I don't use the touchscreen much, but it is of the ideal size(15 inches). I usually use it on maximum brightness so I see bright colors really well. I find that the touchscreen is kind of picky; it's tough to find the right spot to scroll down instead of jumping down the page. Or maybe I'm just very clumsy with my fingers. The sound is pretty great. I usually use earphones but on the occasions when I don't have them or have to share, cranking the volume up the maximum allows multiple people to hear videos even when outside. The keyboard is a full size one, which I absolutely love. You can turn the backlit keyboard on and off with a button which is very cool. The keys dont need to be pushed kind of hard, so i had to adjust my typing. The touchpad is big and you can move the mouse around the entire screen really well. The computer is fast and slows down with more data that is dumped on it. Duh. Overall, I would say if you are someone like me who is trying to get your foot in the door and needs a work computer, this is a good one to start with. Invest in an external hard drive if you handle a lot of images and video. This computer is more than sufficient for students.

Good Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been a good laptop so far, but I wouldn't say it's great, either. It's performance is fine, but not what I would have expected from a computer in this price range. PROS: Decently fast for heavy web applications, browsing, and multi-tasking (I usually have 20 - 40 Chrome windows open at a time). not many glitches (although there are some that I have been surprised with) CONS: Screen is not very bright on it's highest setting. Touchpad is slow when double clicking, inaccurate when scrolling/zooming, and overall very annoying to work with. It's pretty heavy. The HDMI port sits in the perfectly wrong place and the laptop needs to be propped just right so that the cable can be plugged in without hanging or pushing down on the port. Lastly, the graphics don't seem real stable when I'm streaming video via youtube or Amazon Prime - it gets a little glitchy and is super annoying. I got this on some kind of super sale and am mostly satisfied, but I would NOT be happy had I paid full price! I would say it competes more with the $600 range laptops.

Excelent computer!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought HP M6xx.. before this one just before this came out and before start using it I realized that tha was not the computer I was looking for because It feels too large. Then I went to besbuy and see this newer model and I feel that the smaller bezel transform the computer 15.6 in the right size. I was thinking to buy the Dell 13.3 or the 15.6. Well the 15.6 looked too big and the 13.3 looks fine and I has SSD good thing. Then I prefer the full keyboard I bought the HP. The later model M6 was too noise all the time the fan was running at full speed. This newer model the fan still running fast but not a full speed and not all the time (good thing). This one has better exhaust for the hot air come out. This computer is excellent and I got it at excellent price (on sale). I have had no problems. Look very nice. The only draw is it should come with SSD or at least for the operating system M.2. It is not slow but could be faster with the SSD. I hope I can find a tutorial that how to swap the HD to SSD.

Great Workhorse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I originally never wanted to purchase a large laptop because of the weight. But this laptop was slim enough for me to overlook that and it actually feels quite nice in a backpack. The battery life is also pretty nice, it can last me a good few hours with music in the background while I browse the web and/or watch videos. Overall, the specs in this laptop have allowed me to be able to perform some C++ coding that are memory intensive and it runs smoothly. Multi-tasking is a breeze, and everything is responsive I really like the feel of the keyboard, and the screen is bright and beautiful. I used to have a MacBook Pro and I would rather have this than the MBP - also because Apple products are just overpriced at this point for something that you cannot modify with after-market parts.

High quality graphics, great speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i7 processor is great. Quality of graphics excellent. Extremely light laptop. Glad I listened to Best Buy salesperson recommendations to purchase this unit rather than an HP Spectre.....this laptop meets my needs at a much lower cost. The only disappointment is the quality of the speakers. The audio quality of the installed B&O speakers is much lower quality than past HP laptop installed speakers

Great little laptop!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy this laptop...we purchased this after we returned the previous HP laptop that was so loud!! The reason for the one star deduction...you can still hear a bit of the fan on this computer, but only when it's not getting a lot of ventilation or a heavy program is running. Other than that, hits everything I wanted: a numeric key pad, touchscreen, back light, and tablet capability.

Great buy, beware of the lame HP support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nice laptop. It is build rather elegantly. It is thin through out. Screen is sharp and clear. Though the background light has very slight discoloring (uneven). You won't notice much though. Keyboard is great. It's responsive. Bluetooth paired with my bluetooth mouse and bluetooth speakers easily (Amazon Echo and JBL). At 15.6 ", I wouldn't treat this as a tablet. Thought it's a convenient feature. Battery life is quite remarkable, I was able to run it for 6+ hours once and still has over 20% left. AC wireless is fantastic; I was able to achieve my maximum download at 110mbps internet connection. Connecting to my home network NAS, I was able to acheive 15MBps (or 150mbps). Overall, I am very happy with the laptop. The reason I gave it a 4 stars is the lame/lousy support from HP and Best Buy. Best Buy provided an excellent price for this laptop over Black Friday 2016. However, BB sales person was unable to tell me if it has m.2 slot (for adding an SSD and no need to swap out the 1TB drive). I can't fault BB as this is not their bread and butter. HP support however just down right horrible. After obtaining the laptop, HP hasn't upload any of the drivers onto the website. Asking about m.2 slot and not a single one can verify the existence. In fact, the mother board printed "msata" for the slot. In reality it's really pcie slot. HP finally put the driver up now. However, their support has been down right pathetic. A group of laptop owners have posted details on how to install the drive and reinstall/migrate Win10 to SSD. Bottom line, great laptop, lousy HP support. Great price.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this laptop early December 2016, have had it for about a month and it's very easy to use, fast, great images, light weight, and we love the touch screen. Excellent Buy at a Great Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had looked for a laptop, studied reviews, went into stores, asked sales reps, etc. for about three months before purchasing. There have been no disappointments. The ease of use, ability to fold in half, light weight for travel, and more made this an exceptional buy. Easily and quickly connects to the internet, picture/screen quality is superb, and very easy to use as well as tote. Battery lasts quite some time and we have watched two hour plus video streams with no issues or interruptions. A great buy for a student or business.

Great laptop all around
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this laptop. I'm a web developer and this laptop is perfect for work, working from home, and my own programming. I'm not a huge PC gamer so I have no idea how this performs on games but I imagine not well since its not a gaming pc. For the way I use it (work) it almost lasts me a full work day, so it does last me 6 hours which I'm ok with. I personally don't look at laptops for battery life since I never meet their perfect conditions for their suggested battery life. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and I have already recommended this laptop and they have also been very happy with it.

Perfect for me!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a well versed internet user nor do I have a lot of knowledge when it comes to using a laptop but the Envy X360 has been good for me, it is light enough to carry yet large enough for an over 50 person to see easily. I love the touch screen and how fast it is. No issues so far with this one but the first one I purchased had issues and died. That didn't matter to me as that happens and it was replaced immediately. I am very satisfied with the Envy 360 and know that I am only just beginning to get to know my new friend!

Great laptop for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use my laptops primarily to edit video. Due of the latest Intel processor (I7-7500) and the 16gb of ram, I've never been able to process video as fast as I have with this machine. I don't play a lot of video games, but I did run Fallout 4 on this laptop, and it ran without any hiccups. I must state however, that I do not like the keyboard! The keys are too flat, with poor tactile. That said, you won't find a better machine than this for under $1000. If you want power at a low price, this is your new baby!

Love this laptop! Quick and easy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is quick to turn on and navigate to where I choose to go on it. Icons are clear, let’s you know what’s still open on the bottom toolbar, etc. I am thoroughly pleased with the performance of this laptop.

Great backup computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this sight unseen actually while I was in DC and needed to remotely access my office computer. My tablet just wasn't doing it.and my daughter said just order a laptop and I'll pick it up. So I did. My only major complaint about this laptop is that it's heavy for me at almost 5 pounds. So for traveling home it was a lot to carry. But now that I'm back home, it's a great second computer for me. It's got a full size keyboard, the latest Microsoft Version and I added the Windows Office program to it and Quicken 2016 without any issues. It's got a full 1 TB of storage which is nice too, though I always keep a jump drive with laptops in case they crash down the road so I don't lose anything. The laptop is very fast and the video quality is great. I stream a lot of shows from it while I'm working on my main computer. There's no CD drive on this laptop so everything has to be downloaded from the internet program-wise, but most everything I use is that way anyhow, so for me not an issue. I wish there were more than 2 USB ports though because my mouse uses one of the ports (I have carpal tunnel so must have a mouse) and my back-up jump drive uses the other one, so there's no extra one. The one definite plus on this laptop is that it's very similar to the SURFACE computer where you can fold it all different directions. So I can use it as a laptop or bend it completely in half and then use it as a tablet and it will accept my stylus pen or finger on the screen for commands. I understand I'll be able to draw on it too like the Surface pro with one of their upcoming updates. I can also fold it to stand up if I want to watch it videos on it or chat with family. Overall this is a great tablet. It's fast, sleek, slim and has lots of storage with a full size keyboard and is multi-functional. Like said before only downside is that it's too heavy for me for traveling purposes.

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After using this 2-in-1 for a month I'm pleased with its performance. It is fast. The screen is good quality. The only draw-back I have with it is that the hard drive can be noisy. The noise started about 2 weeks after purchase. I love the back lit keyboard, the feel of the keys, and the tablet mode. I previously had an envy and wanted to stay with the same product since I had such great performance with my previous laptop. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fortunately, the death of our Toshiba satellite motherboard necessitated the purchase of a new laptop. This HP has far exceeded our expectations. It runs smoothly, quietly, and most importantly, Cooley. Considering it's processor speed and RAM, I had hoped it would be a little faster when playing games, but overall I just can't complain. If you're looking for a little extra horse power under the hood without the extra cost then this is the one you should choose.
