Fast speed, suitable for research students. But the fan noise is a little bit annoying, it's not as quiet as my old computer.Sometimes when I open it, the disk is always 100% in use for a period of time even I didn't run programs.

This is a great machine. It boots fast. I replaced the HDD with SSD and the speed was awesome. I love the touchscreen and the backlit keyboard. The only drawback is the fan noise. But with SSD it's a little better. The laptop design is excellent. It can be turned/folded and used as a big tablet.

This is my first laptop. I've always owned a desk top so I don't have much comparison to screen resolutions and sound, etc;.
I bought this item more for office and on-the-road media such as Netflix. It seems fairly quick and the screen is bright and vibrant. The sound can be a little dull but I tend to use Bluetooth anyway. I'm not much of a PC gamer but I've noticed some games stating that the integrated hardware may not run some games on the Intel i7. It does run all of the office software fine and wifi and Bluetooth connecting is never an issue. The backlit keyboard and tablet w/touchscreen mode are both great features. I have noticed, however, that the mouse touch pad becomes slow or unresponsive for a short time right after charging. Video playback works great via Netflix.
All in all this was a great deal for the sale price that included i7 and works great for my usage but you may want to check requirements of your PC games if you're looking for a gaming laptop.

I went into Best Buy after a lot of searching. I wanted something cheap but reliable. I really didn't want anything fancy and I didn't care about touch screens or anything else. I needed this laptop for school and I wanted simple. After speaking with the sale's lady, I agreed to look at the HP - HP Envy x360 2-in-1 15.6 Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive. Her pitch made sense. Why buy something I would have to replace in just a few years when I could spend a little more and get something that will not only last through my degree but even longer? After playing around on the floor model and reading reviews online, I was sold. Best. Decision. EVER! I love this laptop. I love how fast it is, the tablet mode is perfect for reading, and the touch screen is amazing for when my arthritis is being a jerk and I need limited joint movement in my hands. Everything about this laptop has made the first 5 weeks of classes so much easier.

I was looking to get a new laptop for me. My wife and I are fans of Apple products and specially her, always wanted a MacBook but in my opinion, the price for a MacBook never justified. Owning this laptop for almost a year now, makes me very glad I didn’t spend multiple thousands of dollars for a Mac or others for pretty much the same specs. I did buy it on a very good promotion ($699) but even MSRP level is much lower than, for instance, a Mac with similar performance specs. I use it for regular everyday use but also for home studio recording, which requires some more horsepower. Macs are well known for a much better out of the box performance and durability for audio recording, but I’ve had no issues at all. In fact, my old Sony Vaio i5, 6GB was doing the job quite well, but wanted to upgrade (had for 3+ years already). All in all a great machine and don’t regret one bit.

I was replacing a desktop and wanted a 2 in 1 for convenience. After reviewing many, I settled on this. What a great choice. Easy to use, lightning fast and the touch screen is very responsive. Definitely consider this if you are in the market for a new computer.

Love this 2 in 1. A bit of light bleed from top, bottom, and side when screen totally black but it doesn't really bother me. Very fast. I am not a huge Windows 10 fan but it's ok. Sound quality is good for a laptop. Battery life seems pretty good also.

Bought this for Black Friday when it was going for a steal. Signed up for a mybestbuy card at the same time. Painless process with a quick credit check. Took it home, installed a SSD into it, been super happy ever since! Great quality touchscreen and super responsive. Metal finish is great to top it all off. Feels like a quality product because it actually is one. Go HP!

Though I fixed my mind for a HP PC based, Mac is still my other side of mind. But when I got the unit stunned...the design of the body is as good as Mac...the touch works very well. Processor speed helped a lot on smoother and faster application usage.

Purchased this laptop on Black Friday. Plenty of RAM and processor speed. Laptop is lightning quick. Our son loves it. He likes the dual use of laptop and tablet feature. He is entering college in the Fall and this will be perfect for him.

This is the best looking HP computer I've ever owned and probably the best looking computer period I've ever owned. It has pretty good specs so it's pretty darn fast is the computing department. The size is perfect and it's very light.

Awesome laptop. Got a black Friday price so couldn't really beat it. This thing is super fast, easy to use, somewhat light weight. The only thing it scratches pretty easy but most of the time people load it up with stickers anyway.

Bought for an end user who is not a tech person. Very easy to use, large enough to see, and lightweight. The Windows 10 OS is an improvement, from the Windows 7 system she came from.
Overall, a great computer at a good price.

I shopped very hard for a computer and was fortunate to land this one at a good sale price.. I wanted 1.) strong, durable shell 2.) touchscreen 3.) I7 4.) 1TB hard drive 5.) 3- usb ports 6.) lighted keyboard 7.) numbers keyboard. This puppy delivers the goods. For those that say there is built-in HP stuff that takes up space -- not sure what they are talking about. The built-in software is minimal, the computer moves quickly online and the machine is well built with a great HD screen. I did have to buy an adapter for the 3rd port because it wasn't a usb port -- so the short adapter cord made it one -- bought it from Best Buy for about $12. I've owned this now for about 4 weeks and am very satisfied. It is an excellent laptop all around for the money.

I originally went for the I5 version of this laptop, then I traded in for this one.. once I realized this one was worth the extra 100 difference in price at the time I purchased it. Faster hard drive, more ram, better chip.... The faster hard drive and ram was worth the 100 difference and then the better chip, it ended up being a no brainer. This also DOES NOT come with win10 Pro, but its easily upgradable with a keycode from online dealers. my one downfall with it, wish HP would have made it with 4 standard usb, ports 2 on each side instead of 1 on each side and a usbC port BUT various adapters exist to solve that minor problem. If you get it, make sure you visit the HP Envy web site for you model and update the software HP has included.

I bought this to replace an older laptop. The machine is really beautiful, it has great specs and runs fairly smoothly. Initial setup and installing my programs was fairly quick. The killer of the deal is the screen has a terrible light bleed issue. Around the bezel on the top of the screen especially in the upper left corner. Very very noticeable on a dark screen and even makes light colors yellow. Because of this, it will be going back.

I bought a Lenovo laptop before to do work but after a few days I brought it back and got this HP Envy. I saved $200 by getting it as "open box" and in excellent condition.
I have no issues with the speed and performance of this laptop.
The tablet option is nice but will be hardly used by me, laptop is too heavy to hold like a tablet and the keypad resting on my arm isn't comfortable.
The laptop could be a little quieter. It's not loud just noticeable when your in a quiet room.
I wanted back-lit keyboard because I use it in the dark but hardly use that feature because the screen brightness and the color of the keypad allows me to see fine.
It's a good buy, I'd recommend it

Purchased for parents. Solid design. I also own a touchscreen Envy that runs AMD, but the tablet conversion on this is excellent. I7 is responsive as well as screen sensitivity. Plenty of memory.
