great calculator for a freshman college student! Simple to use and relatively inexpensive

I bought my first one in 1990 for a financial class that I was taking in college. It was so great that I kept using it after college. It lasted for over 15 years before I replaced it. I bought another one and it was still going strong in April 2020, and then I lost it. Since I can't live without it, I bought this third one to replace my lost one.

I do not have much to say about this calculator. But it adds and subtracts just fine. Even multiplies and divides. I don't ask much more than that from a calculator.

I bought this HP-12C to replace the one that I have had for over 25 years. It still worked but the screen was a bit greyed-out and some of the keys didn't function so well. This new one looks basically the same, but I like how the keys function better and have sort of a matte finish on them.

I used to use an HP financial calculator in college, so I had to buy one of these when I found out they were still being made. I think the quality may not be exactly as good as the originals, but it it still better than every other calculator on the market. I love the feel of the buttons, and the RPN functionality.

The 12C is an old classic, this is my third or fourth buy of this type of calculator. Not for those who are not used to the reverse polish notation, which is actually more efficient. These have a great key action and feel. These used to be made in the USA, then later on off shored to "low cost" regions, so the more recent ones do not last as long. Pricey for the functions, but if you are used to HP calculators, it is hard to settle for other types of calculators.

This financial calculator works great and easy to operate.

My original HP 12 c was excellent. The display finally failed, and the first replacement did not have the same essential action and operation quality. This model built in the Philippines has a good feel and keystroke execution. It is performing well.
