Worked great out of the box. Came with Windows 8.1. Upgraded to Windows 10. No issues. PC would not power up 1 month after purchase. Lucky I purchased the 1 year Geek squad warranty for it. Mother board needed to be replaced. Came back from Geek Squad as good as when I first received it. Would have rated PC 5 stars if not for the motherboard issue. Service I received from Geek Squad was 5 stars!

Very good desktop. 8GB of ram, 2TB hard drive. It's been good for my use. I would give it 5 stars, but I would like the option to upgrade the graphics card. The integrated graphics is adequate.

Thought I'd grab what I felt was a great deal on a refurbished CPU for a friend whose 10 year old computer had died. FYI, I don't usually shy away from purchasing refurbished units and for the most part my experiences have been very positive. My luck changed quite drastically with this refurbished HP unit however when it failed while downloading a boat load of Windows updates. Specifically, at Windows update number 99 of 104, the computer froze up briefly, pivoted into recovery mode and after hours of waiting it was never able to correct itself. I returned the refurbished HP to Best Buy without any difficulties and ended up purchasing an off the shelf HP Pavilion with comparable specs. BTW, my friend is thrilled with his new HP Pavilion.

Keeps prompting to download windows 10, I don't want it! Windows 8.1 is perfect.

It is fast, and just as described. Don't know if I would buy another brand new one after the savings I found with this one, this is used for my accounting department at my business

After i accidentally turned on sticky key's; I could not work this computer; it took me turning off sticky key's for my keyboard to work properly; So now I'm enjoying my: HP Pavilion 500/8gb;2TB computer, oh did i mention it has a quad core?! I LOVE IT (like)it!!

I got it as a refurbish desk top and it works pretty good so far im so happy

Good little system that upgraded to Windows 10 no hassle. Only downfall is video card upgradeability is none.

We have not used the computer for very long, but so far so good. The processing is not a fast as we had hoped, but it is ok.

Great buy. Very powerful computer. Although a refurbished unit it is just like a brand new one.

plenty of storage, the only problem i had was replacing the anti-virus software that was installed with Norton Anti-virus

The computer worked great for a couple weeks and then simply stopped working. Best Buy said it couldn't be fixed and simply returned the computer. Very disappointing.
