If you are going for subtle these are not for you. If you don't mind them showing, then they seem to be a good deal for the price. Customer service is email but they got back with me quickly on the 1 question I had and the suggestion for correcting the problem was spot on. The app is very easy to use also.

Had to return them because they only worked one day, and would not work after that. Worked really well that one day. Too bad they were defective. My husband did not want to try them anymore.

Waste of money. Quit connecting after 1 week. Returned and got a previous used pair. They quit after 3 days. Batteries were charged. Turned phone off for 5 minutes, restarted. Nothing! Uninstalled the App then reinstalled the app. Still nothing.
The thing is I liked them when they worked. Could hear great on the phone and most conversations.

The right earpiece had distortion when in Blu Tooth mode. Did not try the hearing aid function because the hearing app to make the adjustments could not be installed on my phone, a new android. The app was not capatible with the OS on the phone. Hearing aids will be returned because the cannot be used as intended.

24 F. Have been shopping for OTC hearing aids for a few months now after experiencing single-sided sensorineural hearing loss. I gave the CREE10s a try by Sony initially. I had to return because they overall were not worth the 1300+tax price tag. For nearly half the money, these HP otc aids are far less complicated. The setup process is easy and actually adjusts to your hearing levels, unlike the CREE10s which throws a handful of settings at you to see what might work. These are very uncomplicated comparatively.
They fit extremely comfortable into my smaller ears and they even come with different tip settings, silicone and memory foam. They don’t feel like they are going to fall out and are even more comfortable than the discrete CREE10s. These HP aids are far less hidden and stick out of the ear a bit more. I think most people would see these as hearing aids when talking to them over the discrete Sony aids and it’s personally important to me for people to acknowledge that I have a difficult time listening to voices and that I’m not just listening to music. I don’t feel these give “airpod” vibes at all.
As far as the sound quality, I can’t imagine there are other OTC brands doing it better than HP right now. Bluetooth/streaming quality knocks the CREE10s out of the park. I feel I have the best of both worlds when listening to what’s happening around me and listening to my music. I assume phone call quality goes the same.
Cons…. The lack of fine tuning settings. While frustrating at times, at least the sony app gave the option to configure settings yourself. For example, allowing a volume adjustment for each ear instead of the one master volume control that is currently in the HP app. But the setup process and quality of audio routing takes care of most of the ‘fluff’ that would normally need to be fine tuned. Still, it would be nice to have some options to mess around with to get things perfect. In the future I would like to see updates for configuration settings because right now the app feels very limited. The focus setting works well when needed.
The ability to to take one aid out would be nice. The second you take one side out, the audio routing stops. So you must wear these both at the same time to utilize both regular audio routing or bluetooth. This is minimal to myself but it might be important to note to another potential buyer.
The rechargeable battery was a must for me, the Sony’s did last a very long time without needing to charge, these HP aids seem to drain rather quickly. The case charge time is very short around 20-30 minutes so it goes fast, but annoying to run into the aids dying in the middle of the day.
Overall I think this product has it’s 1300$ competitor the Sony CREE10s beat. If you’re on the fence about which which aid to go with, I suggest giving these a try and for a comfortable $700 price tag that beats both Sony models as well as the Jabras, which I would have bought if I didn’t see these on the market first.
I hope with more time there can be improvements made for customization.

Horrible Units - Failed Twice, 2nd time beyond store warranty, and now having to deal with the manufacturer who says that their two year warranty is only applicable if you purchase it from them. So after 60 days of purchase, you are on your own because the store ask you to deal with the manufacturer

Size and Fit - The device fits well in the ears but are not small enough to go unnoticed or hide behind your hair. Infact they are easily visible and can get a little uncomfortable if you have them on for a long time.
Sound quality - There is more clarity and sharpness in any kind of surrounding noise or sound, provided you do not have any hearing disorders. If you are suffering from Tinnitus or Otosclerosis this device does not help in reducing the ringing sound in your ears or help suppress it or overpower it with the dialog. Hence, there is no difference or improvement in hearing even with the device on. This may not be best suited for people suffering from any hearing disorder where they are not able to listen to sounds below a certain decibel level.
Setting up and configuration on phone - Pretty simple and straight forward to download the app on your phone and pair it with the device. Instructions are clear and easy to follow.
Connecting to Bluetooth device - It is a simple touch process to switch the head sets on and pair it with your phone. You will be able to connect to your phone calls, music playlist on your phone through this device once connected to Bluetooth which is pretty great as you do not have to use this just as a hearing device and take it on and off to receive phone calls etc.
Hearing assessment - The mobile app has a hearing assessment which is pretty lengthy. It takes a lot of time and various levels to assess your quality of hearing which requires you to have a lot of patience. It would be more helpful if the app could assess better and quicker.
