Product couldnt be used. The hearing aids wouldnt sync. Will be returning and getting a different brand.

Very complicated to use... I wouldn't actually recommend this. Im actually going to refund these . I would pefer linner nova earbuds if you Dont mind the color code for left and right.

I will be returning them tomorrow. They are more of a Bluetooth set then a hearing aid set. They plug your ears entirely and the amplification doesn’t work well for me.

They suck, good for calls and music, but the sound quality as a hearing aid is awful. I have talked to them about it, and they dont care to figure it out.

In the ever expanding uinverse of over-the-counter hearing aids, the unusual HP Hearing Pro earbuds are best I have tried. I call them unusual because the form they take is more like your standard bluetooth earbud than a hearing aid. Those come in a lot shapes and sizes but thie HP model is the only one I have seen with this particular form factor. That's both good and bad. The good news is they are easier to handle, mostly because they are just bigger. That's important for older folks with poor eyesight and limited motor skills. Those tiny in-the-ear-canal models, for example, can be a challenge for such people. There's also no tiny controls to worry about. There is not even an on-off switch. Take them out of their case and they are on, put them back and they are off. Otherwise, you just stick them in your ears and then tweak the volume and sound environment with the HP Hearing smartphone app. That's also needed for the initial setup, providing customized performance for your particular hearing loss. That turns out to be pretty easy too, with a series of simple tone tests for each ear. You have to pair them with your phone but the app is easier than most, in part because it requires no registration, no name and password, before you use it. But the most important good news is they just work better than the other models I have tried, providing a more natural sound boost and a lot less of the squealing, and raspiness common in a lot of hearing aids. They do generate a sound akin to chirping birds if you crank up the volume too much but that is far less annoying than the continous feedback squeal common in other hearing aids. The bad news? Ironically, one of biggest is that they are , well, big. That means they are pretty obvious when you are wearing them. And let's face it, not the most attractive fashion accessory. Most people don't want to adverstise they are heard of hearing. The only good news here is they might be mistaken for regular old bluetooth earbuds, which many people wear to just listen to music. Or talk on the phone. And you will be happy to know these hearing aids can perform both of those functions too. So they are a bit of a multi tasker. (Just tap the left bud to answer the phone.) Getting the right fit also might be an issue with some people. The HP Hearing Pro comes with pretty large selection of ear pieces, from small to large and from silicone to memory foam. So they try to accommodate everyone. But if you are like me and have never found an earbud that is comfortable, you might have the same problem here. These have to be jammed in pretty tight to work right and that can be pretty uncomfortable over time since they are rather large. But you can easily pop them in and out as needed. One big plus with the HP Hearing Pro earbuds is they are rechargable. There are no tiny batteries to buy or install. The somewhat bulky case they come in serves as a wireless charger. It can store power and charge the buds even if not plugged in but must eventually be recharged using any USB charger. A USB-A to USB-C cable is included to connect the case to a charger but a USB charge is not included. The buds run for up to 8 hours on a single charge and can be recharged in 3 hours. As mentioned earlier, the intial setup process is pretty easy, although the app does throw up some roadblocks if you fail to hear all of the tones the app generates at the beginning of the testing process. It then suggests the buds are not properly seated in your ears and urges the user to try a different earpiece. But it may be you just have lousy hearing. If so, skip over this step (the app allows that at some point) and proceed with the testing. Once completed, the app displays a graphic (dubbed hearing ID) that shows the level of hearing loss and at which frequencies, for each ear. That is a nice touch. The user can then decide whether to put the buds into a broad "world" environment mode, for general use, or focused one, for talking to nearby people in noisy environments. Both work well. The buds operate in active noise cancelation mode when both world and focus settings are off. Which I assume is most useful if you are using the buds to listen to music. Overall this the best of he over-the-counter hearing aids I have tried and worth a look if you are beginning to suffer from hearing loss.

I received my first set of HP Hearing PRO aids and followed the setup steps to the letter. They activated then connected with my phone quickly & then went through the hearing test on the HP Hearing app on my phone. In 15 minutes I was using the aids and familiarizing myself with the controls in the app. After experimenting for a while with those, I soon got the hang of things. I wore them all day for a couple of days to find out how effective they were under "real world" conditions using them in conversation, watching TV etc. I didn't get to the part where you can receive phone calls or listen to music from my phone since I wanted to focus on conversation and TV first. I planned to do the phone stuff later. Using the aids in this manner, I got between 7.5 & 8.0 hours of use before they needed recharging. In regards to the quality of sound using the aids, I found the sound to be tinny, but that may have been "normal" for me with the degree of hearing loss I have -- I don't know since this is my first experience with hearing aids with no other hearing aid experience to compare with. The app controls allow you to select more focus on sounds in front and to your sides, or another setting provides sound reception equally all around you. You adjust your volume through the app as well as bass/treble etc. Anyway, all that takes some trial & error for anyone to determine what works best. The aids charged quickly in the charge case as did the charge case itself. When you take the aids out of the case, they are "on." Placing them back in the charge case turns them "off." So, when you place them in your ears, they are already on. After one time pairing with your phone's BT, anytime you place the aids in your ears you hear a tone telling you your connected to the app (you have to have both aids in your ears for this to work). The aids are more the size of individual ear buds, not tiny little aids that disappear in your ear canal -- they're readily seen by others from the side or, even, from the front. The face of each aid is a darker gray, so if you're light complected they show up markedly. They didn't work loose on me while wearing them and are reasonably comfortable if you don't overwork them by jamming them too deeply or hard in your ear opening/canal. About the morning of my third day from receiving the HP Hearing PRO aids, they went dead - no sound, no tone, nothing. My phone's BT setting still showed them but with no connection. No matter what I did, they would not activate and connect to the app. I did the usual things to reconnect but nothing worked. I contacted HP tech support and they guided me back through everything but nothing changed. The aids were dead. The charging lights showed green when they were in the case and the case charging light showed green as well, so it wasn't a power problem. HP had me send them back to them and they sent me another set. I charged the new set overnight and went through the normal setup. I had deleted the app from my phone so I could start fresh and downloaded the app again. The BT setting in my phone was unpaired so, likewise, I could start fresh there too. Anyway, went through the now familiar steps to set up the aids, but I followed the steps to the letter to be sure. When you set up a new pair of aids you place them in your ears and then hold your left index finger on the left aid and your right index finger on the right bud (you're touching sensors on the outside of each aid when you do this) until you hear the word "pairing" through the aids. I heard nothing. I tried different fingers on each hand, made sure the aids were charged -- I did all this multiple times, but no sound of any sort came through the aids. My phone's BT was scanning, but it wasn’t picking up the aids at all. The first set were picked up by my BT immediately. My BT is working normally since the phone is paired with my computer and other things with all that working normally. So, it's not the phone/BT that's having a problem. It appears the HP PRO Hearing Aids were...dead...giving no BT signal. So, I emailed HP support and, after a day or so, they emailed back with suggestions as they did when the first set died. Before doing that (remember, this is several days after they quit working and wouldn’t work no matter what I did) I decided to give them one more try. I placed them in my ears once more…and they activated and connected with my phone. Once that occurred, I went through the apps hearing test to adjust them as I did with the first set. I notified HP Tech support and they told me that if they appeared to be working properly, to keep using them to see if I would have any more problems with them. So far, they’re still working. I have no explanation why the second set of aids wouldn’t activate despite my many attempts going through the by-the-book process each time. Then after setting for a few days, they suddenly activated and paired with my phone … go figure. My final thoughts on all this: I find the HP Hearing Pro aids to be too large for actual hearing aids (classified as a medical hearing device according to HP's literature), and more like ear buds in size and appearance. As to the quality of the sound, it is too tinny to the point of being distracting. Lastly, If you receive a fair number of phone calls during the day, or like to stream music from time to time besides using the aids as hearing aids, you will be recharging the aids at least once during an 8-hour day if not more. However, considering the price, they provide hearing assistance while offering music streaming and answering phone calls, but their effectiveness is in proportion to their cost.

Since my time in the service, I have dealt with mild to moderate hearing loss, but never felt the need to go forward with hearing aids especially since I am no where near middle age and don't want to have a clunky ear piece hanging over my ear all day. I do however usually have ear buds in most of the day at work and have have them in with relatively low discomfort. Because I have ear buds in, I do not hear what is going on around me. Sometimes I find it difficult to hear if people are speaking behind me as well. Although sometimes it's because I lack the interest to hear anything that isn't in front of me... Given the opportunity to try out an Over The Counter hearing aid that did not look like a hearing aid interested me. Setup was simple. I downloaded the Android App, connected the buds and ran through the setup and configuration all within about 15-20 mins. The setup involves a series of low tones that you have to press the button after you hear. Though I have always had the problem that if I hear repetitive sounds like annoying (and very faint) beeps I continue to think I hear them which resulted in several false presses. Other than that it was simple set up. Once the buds were all set up, I spent serval days walking around with them in most of the day hearing everything around me. I found myself intentionally shutting off the world mode (while keeping them in my ears) just to get some isolation and just listen to music or podcasts. I often have something playing or my tinnitus starts to creep into focus. Sound and voices are amplified and clear to me, however, it does sound artificial and doesnt have a completely natural tone. I have never used a prescribed hearing aid, but I can't imagine there are any devices that are this small that can achieve that. Althought listening (focusing) on television or voices coming from directly in front of me were definitely clearer and made it easier to hear over not using them. I did find that the HP Hear Pro buds are larger than my Samsung Buds Pro 2 but still appear to be ear buds and no one really noticed that they were anything other than that at work. As with many other ear buds available they come with a variety of bud sizes, even foam tips! Silicone mediums are my default as they provide the best seal. The foams are very comfy but they tend to make my ear canals very itchy after about 45mins of use. Fit is similar to Samsung, Sony and other buds, in that you need to rotate the bud in the pocket of the ear and it sits in comfortably and securely. I was about to vigourously shake my head, jump up and down and was not worried about them falling out. I also noticed that with the HP Hear Pros I was able to hear my office mates behind me clearer when they spoke while my back was to them. It wasn't like I was able to spy on someone's conversation, but if they were speaking in my direction while my back was to them I could hear it better than without the HP Buds in. The size of the case for the buds seem rather large, but they provide multiple charges after the 6-7hour runtime for the buds themselves. So these buds will easily last 2-3 days of moderate use. Maybe a little over a day for constant use and only breaks for charging. Again for the size of the case I am disappointed in the lack of wireless charging. Being a hearing aid it works well to be able to hear the TV or music as well as things and people around you. However, as mentioned before you can turn off world volume and they function as normal ear buds to shut out everything else. I also had my elderly father whos hearing loss is much more significant than mine give them a try and he was pleased in that he was able to hear conversations without straining and hear the TV without it blasting. He was able to listen to the families conversation and hear the TV at the same time and he no longer seemed to be confused trying to figure out what we were saying to him. He also mentioned that the voices didn't seem natural but it didn't bother him too much. Just something he noticed. we made a few test calls and I noticed I was able to speak to him much easier without having to repeat myself multiple times. He has been having problems understanding phone numbers or addresses when I spell them out. He seemed to hear everthing much better with the Hearing Pros in. Ultimately I will be gifting these to my father as it seems he will benefit from them far more than me. But I am impressed with how confortable wearing the HP Hearing Pros were for long periods and sound as regular ear buds were on par with some of the best wireless ear buds on the market. I'd gladly recommend them to anyone dealing with mild to moderate hearing loss. Now I have not been properly diagnosed with any type of hearing loss, though, I have known myself for awhile that my dominant ear is my right ear, which means there has to be some hearing loss in my left ear. It's best to ensure the HP Hearing Aids are fully charged before using them. Continuing on with the Quick Start Guide and the app, just follow along with the prompts to get both the Right Earbud and Left Earbud setup and connected. The process is fairly simply, however, I ran into issues with setting them up and had to close out the app and restart it up. After a quick restart of the app, I was able to continue on with the setup process which was kinda finnicky at times but it finally went through and I was able to complete the setup process. After completing the setup process, you can tweak the settings to your liking in the HP Hearing app. Once I got everything just right, I was amazed and how clearly I could hear the TV in front of me. I actually had to turn to the TV down to where normally I wouldn't be able to hear the volume. It was pretty cool. Also, I was able to hear people more clearly without having to turn my head sideways to where my right ear (which is my dominant ear) would be facing them as they spoke. A couple of great features that I love about the HP Hearing Aids is the fact that the can be used to answer phone calls and listen to music playback. The only downside that I noticed is that they can't be used independent of one another like some other earbuds I've tried before. Other than that, I really like these hearing aids and recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair at an affordable price.

Over the counter hearing aids, just like over the counter reading glasses, think of it that way. When you go to an audiologist and are tested, you're able to see exactly what's needed and if hearing aids can help you. With over the counter hearing aids, it'll be a hit or miss. For my grandma, it was a hit, but with some caveats. My grandma is 81 years old, and is one to not admit that she has hearing loss. She instead says that everyone doesn't talk clearly and mumbles all the time. With that being said, to even give hearing aids a try, she doesn't want it to be known that she's wearing them or needs them for assistance. That's where these HP NU320 model hearing aids come in. Honestly when you put them on, they look like wireless earbuds that are HP branded. You would think that they are simply earphones and not hearing aids at all. The case and overall design is very professional and aesthetically pleasing. The app is very fresh and new by HP's partner for this device, Nuheara Limited. It's a very small app size download of 64.9MB, and the user interface is very user friendly. You can set up your profile as well as adjust the self-fitting to your needs. I think in my opinion they're a little on the expensive end, but they work, so can't really complain. You're getting a premium product at a premium price.

Super easy setup. Paired with Bluetooth functionality first time without jumping through hoops. Application was easy to download from the Apple store. To turn on, take them out of the storage container. To turn them off put them back in the storage container. The app walks you through putting them in your ears correctly. Then it pairs with your phone. Next it goes through a hearing test for each ear. This takes about 10 minutes. Then you hear some voluminous noise almost like a concert starting and the results of your ear test are provided. Not surprisingly, I have some hearing loss. The app is sure easy. The “Home” page has an option for World Volume. If you set to “On” you can adjust the volume. This was so fantastic, after setting to on and not even half volume I could actually hear the words being spoken on the TV. No more closed captions! I also had the Focus on which helped with the spoken words on the TV. The package came with a little carrying bag, a brush to clean the ear tips and plenty of different sizes of ear tips.

These are great and they do the job if you have mild to moderate hearing loss (or early on-set like I do in one ear). A few items to highlight: - The App: It does the job well, however it could use some updates. I have used similar apps for other products and they were a little more fine tuned and sleek. You can control the volume, and even specify what sounds in your vicinity you want to focus on and hear more. -The Sound: It is absolutely sharp, clear, and crisp. I can hear movies, music, people's conversations, you name it. -Connectivity: The Bluetooth connectivity was nearly effortless --- which is huge and can often not be so simple. It also stays connected for a good distance away from the device itself when I'm using with my phone. - Fit: Almost ALL earbuds of any kind constantly fall out of my ears, which is very cumbersome and annoying; however these HPs don't! I do have to wedge them in the right way, but once I do, they actually stay put. - Cost: These are a bit pricy for my own tastes, but to be honest, you get the most for your money with them, which is ultimately the goal with these purchases, so all in all I think its worth it.

The HP hearing pro self fitting are super comfortable to wear. They fot perfectly into my ears without any adjustments needing to be made. The are great with noise cancelation preventing me from having too much background noise. I love the fact that they have an app to use with them. This is very convenient and efficient while wearing them. I can control the volume, and the focus using the app very easily and quickly without having to take them out of my ears. They are lightweight making it feel like you have hardly anything in your ears. They are rechargeable which is great because i dont have to continuously change out batteries. They stay charged throughout the day and then at night i put them on the charger for a full battery the next morning when i wake up. I can revieve very clear calls and listen to music through them which is what i love the most! I love not having to take them out to answer the call. Overall these HP Hearing aids are super comfortable, great for hearing impaired, are clear without static and background noise, and can be easily adjusted to the level of loudness that you need.

The HP Hearing Pro Self Fitting Over The Counter Hearing Aids come packed in a charging case. As a hearing aid user for a couple of years now, I find it great not to have to buy and carry around spare batteries all the time. There are six sets of ear gels in assorted sizes and two different materials and as usual, the smallest is my best fit. The set also has a cleaning brush, charging cable and drawstring carrying case. After charging the hearing aids, choosing the best fitting ear gels and downloading the app it was time to let the app give me a hearing test. The test is much faster than that given by my audiologist. After the test the app gives a circular graph representing your hearing results in several categories for each ear and of course tailoring each hearing aid to the results. In the few months since over the counter hearing aids have been available, I have tried two others and found them to be little more than amplifiers which amplify all of the noise in a noisy room equally. These are much better at filtering background noise than the other OTC aids I have tried. I think the help in noisy rooms is perhaps more due to a limited focus setting than to filtering. I would describe these as closer to streaming earbuds that have viable hearing aid functions than as traditional hearing aids. The reason I describe these as such is that unlike traditional hearing aids, there is no effort to make these inconspicuous. These are much larger and heavier than any traditional hearing aids I am familiar with. Like earbuds I use for streaming music, these become uncomfortable after an extended wearing. Perhaps those people that are self-conscious about being seen in hearing aids are more comfortable being seen in earbuds. I would not consider wearing these in a business setting, especially board meetings because it might appear that I was listening to music instead of paying attention to the proceedings. I really like the ability to control the amount of outside sound that comes in while streaming music. Without the music or phone streaming, the outside sound control in the app serves as a volume control. The other control in the app is a setting that narrows the focus of the microphones. This focus setting helps in noisy settings by excluding sounds picked up from approximately 75% around you. The quality of streaming phone calls, music and video is great. I really like these hearing aids. In terms of function, these are by far the best of the OTC hearing aids I have tried. I dock them a star for their size, weight and appearance. I consider earbuds something to be used in your leisure hours and inappropriate in business settings and therefore would not use them in the workplace (where I need them most).
