I needed a wireless printer with a fax. This unit came with free ink sent from HP for one full year. I can print 300 pages per month without being up charged. I just made it with the 300 pages in a month and was able to print high quality photos and documents. I never used a printer for photos, but the quality is so clear that may change.

I replaced another HP Printer where the heads were going and in general it sucked down ink. I was swayed to buy this because it came with free ink for a year. That is the only good thing about this printer. Printing documents and pictures is only average at best. The printer speed is slooooowwwww. The unit constantly has an error which tells me I need to turn it off and on again. It loses the wireless connection constantly. The cover does not stay up like my older unit did...you need to push this up to the 45-degree angle. It has issues with printer paper and photo paper in the tray at the same time...so I leave the printer paper in and have to change it out when I want to print photos. This unit is 2 out 5 stars at best...the only reason I gave it two stars is the ink plan. One of the worst office jets I ever bought.

Don't be deterred by the higher cost on this model....the extra cost is for the HP 1 year prepaid subscription to HP Instant ink ......the extra cost really is worth it ....for the cost of just 1 refill of normal HP ink....you get one year of HP instant ink delivered to your home when your printer automatically notifies HP you're running low on ink. If your not familiar, HP Instant ink is a program where you're auto-shipped special ink cartridges that have 2x's more ink than traditional ink cartridges based on your printing needs. So far looking at the math, and my current usage....I think I will save big time on ink; HP says the savings can be up to 50% over traditional HP ink cartridges. The printer itself has functioned nicely over the last month that I've had it online. And unlike my old printer, it has no trouble staying connected to my home network. So to date, I'm very satisfied. This is a great home or small business printer. If your a "power printer"....who routinely prints documents over 25 or 30 pages....you will want something faster; but it fast enough for basic home use. I cant speak for the fax, or scanning features since to date I have not used them.

We needed a new printer to replace our older all in one. This printer does everything our prior printer (also hp) and more better. We loved the ease of setting it up and the fact we've already paid for the ink service is a piece of mind. We should always be able to print, no more full but expired cartridges when we need to print the most. I love that we can easily print from every computer and device in the house. Makes printing coupons and other items extremely quick and easy!

I replaced a HP printer with this one mainly because of the quality of the first one. I got eight years of use out of it without a single problem with all functions. I use the copy, print and scan often, with an occasional fax. The new multifunction printer was easy to set up and use. I would recommend this product without reservation.

This was a pleasant surprise. Very easy to install and nice size. Has worked fine for us.

this printer save ink....I printed a lot of page and photo like 100 pages but I still have my first ink

Havent printed much as of yet, but the few pages i did print came out great. Very easy to set up.

This is a good printer, however I find the printer preference settings a bit confusing. This printer does not have a preview of what you are about to print like my previous HP printer. I struggled for quite some time trying to print out a half-fold greeting card envelope. I could not find a setting for that size envelope. I had to google a setting to find out to use the "Statement" setting???? I'd never have guessed that! This printer did come with a free ink program which you have to sign up for. So far I've found this printer to be more confusing than it needs to be, but does print nice copies. If you are looking for a simple printer, this may not be the one for you. If you do a lot of printing, scanning, and faxing, then this printer is just what you are looking for.

Great wireless printer. Easy set up. Great to have the ink delivered automatically.

Basic printing in black only provides good printing. Color printing is weak. Photo printing is very poor -- Although not a photo printer (HP does have a photo paper print setting) I expected at least decent photo prints Scanning good. Copying good w black only

The HP Office Jet 5741 Wireless All In One Printer is great for home use. It is very easy to get each function setup for use. The clarity of the print and colors is really great. I only gave this 4 stars because the paper tray doesn't hold a lot of paper and is not very sturdy. All in all this is a great printer for home use or small business use. The price was also great when I ordered this online.

Printer has every feature you need. They also throw in $100 towards a HP printer ink plan. For us we print in the middle of the plan so we are looking at free ink for almost two years. That alone will save me a few bucks compared to buying ink for my old printer. Best of all they mail the ink to my house.

The sales person suggest this model because of the discount with the automatic ink refill. It was a great deal and the printing is perfect for my needs.

I love this printer. Although it was a little difficult to set up - I had to use the chat room help - it is very efficient. i have used it to print and scan, but have not used the fax feature. It prints quickly and I love having the wireless capability. The printer came with a printer ink program which was very difficult to set up and again I had help from the online chat with a professional.

Hps Instant ink program is amazing for those who hate being caught with a printer without of ink. With the 5741 that includes a 120 dollar instank ink card. Depending on your printing average you could potentially not pay anything on ink for up to 4 years! The 5741 is easy printer to setup it took me only 10 minutes to take it out of the box , get it contacted

Very nice. Does the job. Top feeding is a bit tricky but overall a really functional printer for our home office.
