I’ve recently picked up the HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e Wireless All-in-One Printer with 1 Full Year Instant Ink with HP+ and actually activated the Instant Ink Program! I’m switching out my workhouse HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 – debuting in about 2014 – and is showing some signs of failure. The biggest features used in my household are Printing of course, then Scanning, then Copying. We don’t do any faxing from home anymore – so this is a dying feature in my opinion. If you don’t already have a multi-function device like this – it’s a MUST for school-age kids and a home office. My impression thus far is great. It installed without issue – and HP must have worked on their Scan to Computer function as this time it worked straight out of the box! This baby boasts fast (for home printers) color and b/w prints up to 20 pages a minute. It’s recommended monthly page volume is about 800 pages – so if you print about that or more you should be looking for a larger printer. I noted that the paper tray hold less that my previous printer (only 225 sheet) and the auto document feeder can accommodate about 35 sheets. The printer uses 4 cartridges of the HP 923 series – but as I stated since the [rinter comes with a full year of Instant Ink, I opted for that and will determine if I stick with it in February 2025. Scanning works well – and I’ve testing the document feeder, glass top scanner and initiating from both the printer and from the computer. Download and install the HP Smart software to get it setup – and you’re off and running in no time. The 8139e can handle borderless printing, up to 10 envelopes at a time and legal paper with no issues. Scanning resolution up to 1200x1200 dpi. Copy resolution up to 600 dpi. Overall, this is a solid printer and think this will be a suitable replacement for my aging 8610.

After problems with connectivity on Envy models of printers we purchased this Office Jet Pro. It always connects (we have only had for 2 weeks) and prints clear and colorful copies. It was easy to connect and simple to operate. The screen is easy to read and I like how it tells you what it is printing. The ink seems to be lasting well so far. I really am enjoying that it connects and we do not have to keep shutting down and restarting the Wi-Fi a lot of the time in order to use a printer.

This printer was easy to setup. Once connected to wifi printed easily from computer. Still having issues with printing from phone. I also love the 2 sided printing option. Saves a lot of paper without having to manually flip the paper. Easy to load paper. Would definitely buy again.

I'm so happy with my new HP printer - scanner. Shortly after setting up the HP e8139e, I was off printing my tax form for the year. All were looking great, crisp and clear documents. Then onto a few color documents. These too were of excellent quality. HP ink is known for its long lasting brilliance. That's why I trust then with my important documents and photographs. Scanning is easy with the flat bed or automatic document feed hopper. 20 or 25 maximin depending on the thickness of each sheet. First I installed the free HP Universal Scan Software. This enabled scanning to my computer. This is a fast and simple way to allow the whole family to scan their documents when needed. PDF scans look like the original document. There is a feature called instant ink. With this service you will never worry about running low on ink. The printer send the request to have a new cartridge sent right to you door, before you run out. Always fresh from HP. I didn't try the Bluetooth yet, but do see it is of the most current low energy version. Everything works great at home via Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi allows for remote printing when away from the home or office. Just print to the web printer and when your back at the office or at home your documents are ready for you. No lost time reopening applications to print.

It took me a little bit to get this printer set up but once I did it was easy going. I love the touch screen that can either sit flat against the printer or tilt out. Sometimes I have to tap a couple times to get the option I want but no big deal. I have always owned HP printers and I am not disappointed. My last HP printer lasted about 10 years so that says something for the quality. One feature I absolutely love is no more paper sitting at the bottom of the printer collecting dust. This has a pull out drawer and holds more paper so less chances of running out. The cartridges are a little different but install easily. So far it is doing everything I need it to do.

The printer's automatic document feeder is a convenient feature for scanning and copying multi-page documents.Connectivity Options: With various connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, USB, and mobile printing capabilities, this printer offers great flexibility. This printer is a good printer. Satisfies home use. Replacement ink is costly and the printer itself is quite noisey when operating, compared to my previous printer brand. Print quality is good.

The printer works very similarly to our old HP, which died after 5 years. On this new printer, print quality is good. The new fax option looks usable. Longevity will be an issue like the old and it is cheaply made. We had problems with the paper tray not recognizing the loaded paper. You insert paper correctly, push the tray in, and it pushes the paper away from the front of the tray so it doesn't recognize the loaded paper. You can adjust the tray length, but there is no catch for letter-sized paper, and the instructions do not say you need to shorten it. Poor design, that they don't have a physical setting for the most commonly used paper in the USA. duh! On sale it is a great deal. I would not have bought it at full price.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer offers solid performance and a wide range of features that cater to the needs of small businesses and home offices. Its fast print speeds, high-quality output, and versatility in handling a variety of tasks (print, scan, copy, and fax) make it a strong contender in the all-in-one inkjet market. The Instant Ink program helps to manage ongoing ink costs, but like most inkjet printers, the cost of ink cartridges can still add up over time. The lack of duplex scanning and occasional noise during operation are notable downsides, but they are not deal-breakers for many users. Overall, the OfficeJet Pro 8139e is a feature-packed, cost-efficient printer that offers excellent value for users looking for an all-in-one solution that is both reliable and flexible. However, businesses with very high-volume print needs may want to explore laser alternatives or models with larger paper handling capacities. Instant Ink is a winner for me.

HP delivers another winner. This is my 3rd HP printer. I am very satisfied. The setup was very easy. Documents are really crisp. The printer is pretty quick even for color prints. It's great for regular printing but I'll be using it as a classroom printer. Definitely not business speed. The paper holder feels a little cheap.

Really good copies, especially color. Had a little trouble getting it hooked up because the directions were a little complicated for senior citizen, but finally figured it out. One criticism: I had the printer exactly a week and here came a shipment of ink and directions to install them immediately. After contacting HP bot (dang I hate them) I was told to wait until initial ink ran out.

This is a nice little printer. I'm 74 years old and not really too tech savvy, and I set it up and synched it by myself. It works great, prints and copies well.

Great everyday office printer. Prints beautiful photos. Replaced HP 8615 printer with this one. Very simple to connect to wifi, easy to print from phone.

Prints clear with no streaks. On another review I did read that this printer is noisy, and that review was correct. When printing, the machine sounds like it is struggling, but there are no issues so far.

Easy to set up and outputs for all our needs better than the last two Envy printers we tried to use.
