I love this laptop! I choose it after lots of research. I've had it almost 2 years now and it's been amazing. Happy to know it will last for years

At first I got the Asus Tuf b/c I'm an Asus fanboy and was expecting ROG like performance. Unfortunately I was mistaken, the CPU in the RTX 3070 TUF is a 4 core Cpu, a MAJOR bottleneck for the 3070. I got this laptop and the performance difference for "only" the $200 increase is night and day. The keyboard and speakers are better too interms of volume and quality and don't get me started on how great the cooling is, the TUF felt like it was going to catch fire. The ONLY downside is the chassis is plastic and has some flex but nothing I'm worried about. Don't underestimate the CPU like I initially did, it will cripple the GPU at only 4 cores.

Found this gem on sale + an open box discount equalling almost $400 savings! Ill say for the price I got it at its a BEAST. This can easily be a desktop computer replacement. The fans can ramp up pretty high and even with them at a medium speed kept the temps under 80 C, Strong 1080p machine and can even push into 1440p. Keyboard felt good, nice and silent. Great display, can get fairly bright and is QUICK. Port selection was perfect for me and having the option to boost your network speed with the ethernet AND wifi made downloading games a breeze The only downsides I had were the trackpad isn't the greatest, can be unresponsive at times and has a "plasticky" click and feel, though I feel this kind of laptop should always be paired with a nice mouse. As to be expected, the battery life is terrible. Even after underclocking the CPU and disabling the GPU for normal use, I barely could squeeze out 3 hours at 50% brightness. Overall the pairing of the i7 and 3070 makes this a surprisingly strong little piece of tech and has one of the more minimal designs out of the gaming laptops.

If this is in your budget, buy it. The graphics are amazing, I played RDR2 on default graphic settings, which is default to ultra on everything and the game runs crystal clear. The cooling system in this thing is really impressive for a laptop. I played GTAV for hours with it on my legs and it never got hot.

Great laptop, quality build. On the heavier side of things. It is not the best for sitting on your lap as it runs pretty warm you'd wan a lap desk. and battery life is not very good at only a few hours. But other than that it is a good buy for the price and specs. The display looks really nice.

Very fast laptop. Beautiful display. Have had it 7-8 months now pretty regular use gaming on WoW and various other games. Only issue I have is the keyboard keys stick for no reason at random times quite often now

I love this laptop! Super fast, and very easy to upgrade. I've used it with Oculus Quest 2 linked and it runs Half Life Alyx well, at the next to highest settings. Very impressed. As far as upgrades I have put in 64GB RAM which is recognized by the system even though the specs say it is limited to 32GB. I have also added a second SSD. Both upgrades were simple.

Great laptop for school work and gaming. Mindcraft and other FPS have worked just fine.

If your in the market for a toaster oven, look no further. This is the hottest running laptop I've ever owned. I was only able to load one game on here - Black Desert Online and the temps hovered around 107c. Idle this laptop would sit around 82-87c. The fans were maxed... Unfortunately I cannot load videos or I would upload one of the noise from this laptop. I did purchase this laptop as open box so its very possible this was returned for the same reason I experienced. I would have swapped it out for the same model but as it was open box, I had to do the return. Ended up going to a Blade.

This was my first upgrade in many years. Was going to get a gaming desktop. Gave this a try because similar features in this laptop (at the time of purchase) were more economical. This unit played through a 55" HD TV is more than adequate for my gaming experience. I was wondering about overheating graphics card in a laptop scenario. So far, so good.

I have had this less than 2 weeks and so far it has been great. I bought it so I could have things to do while we where visiting the inlaws. I have been pleasantly surprised at the performance so far. Is it perfect? Well, no, but then again you are buying a laptop. Don’t compare this to a desktop!

The laptop stays cool, even when I'm playing games like cold war, with settings near maxed it hits 80+ fps stable and looks amazing while doing so. i don't feel heat on the keyboard, i do use a cooling pad but that's a must for any gaming laptops. I have not tried it out off of battery but the purpose of this is to be my gaming while traveling so it hits all the marks for me.

Great battery seems to die pretty fast but other than that amazing.

This is the best value for what's out there now. And even though it's a 3070 mobile card, it'll mine you 3 to 5 dollars of ethereum a day @ $1800 a coin. As far as using it as the intended gaming laptop, then this thing also holds the title as best value for that too. Not your average laptop, let alone an "hp." Best one word description - Wicked.

Excellent laptop with lightweight and high performance.

One of the best performing laptops I have owned for gaming the refresh rate is insane and clarity and response time is amazing. Everything about this laptop is amazing, the fan gets loud when you put it on high performance mode but the performance being put out due to the fans is insane, no complaints here.

Nice Laptop. Got this for under $1600. Runs smoothly and graphics are great. My only complaint is the battery life. No matter what game I play the battery life is only about an hour.
