i found this as an open box excellent for a great price and so far its been a great investment and exceeded my expectations. The only Con was screen bleeding along the bottom but for the price and overall package/experience

So far i have no complaints for the computer. I didnt buy it for gaming. I bought it for a media PC and its doing just fine. I'm glad it has the I7 and 16GB of ram. I shouldnt need to upgrade for a long time.

It was easily plug-n-play. When it booted up for the 1st time, everything loaded was installed and formatted for ready-use. So far, there have been no issues. I easily upgraded the memory to 32GB and the SSD to 1TB. The chassis appears limber but has not given away when picked up by the corner. The ONLY issue so far is that the power connection between the plug in and the motherboard is not tight or with a click in to hold it in place. I have to continuously re-push the connector to get it in place to charge. It has completely fallen out a few times. The machine is powerful and plays Halo Infinite with zero issues. It has never bogged down while playing.

It kept overheating and dying quickly i had to send it to hp to get fixed.

I’ve had it for a couple weeks and its been good so far. The display is fine once calibrated—no issues there. The fans are pretty loud when gaming, but I imagine its like that with most laptops. Temperatures have ranged in the 70’s when under heavy loads. I recommend undervolting the cpu once you set it up. My temps were in the 80’s before undervolting. I would recommend this laptop if you can get it for $1200

Good deal for a decent laptop however sometimes I cannot charge the laptop sometime I do the problem I think with the connection when I restart the laptop it come to normal

Just purchased the Omen 16 for Christmas as it was on sale, For around this price point, it’s pretty decent compared to other laptops. Love the 16 inch screen, which was something I was looking for compared to other laptops with smaller 14-15 inch screen. Playing games like Insurgency Sandstorm it’s running around temps of 70 C, for Cyberpunk I’m around 85 C. Would suggest a cooling pad anyways to lift up laptop and just help push air to cool down the laptop. All in all, would suggest this laptop

This laptop has been lightning fast and exceeded my expectations. This was definitely a steal of a deal.

Fantatic computer, does everything I need it to do and more! The bottom does get a little hot while gaming but it isnt terrible if you dint have it on your lap, overall well worth the money for a portable gaming PC. On performance mode the battery life is not as good when its not on performance mode. Some games do seem to eat up battery life sooner no matter the perfomance mode or not, but still worth it as I expected this from a laptop.

I had high hopes for this device because of it’s Voodoo PC heritage. HP bought Voodoo PC years ago, and rebranded it as Omen, hence the diamond shaped logo on the lid, sans the Voodoo PC mask. Strike 1. I wasn’t impressed with the plastic lid and hinges. There is a lot of flex in the screen, and when I started it up there was significant light bleeding in all four corners. I found this disappointing, but I wanted to give the computer a fair chance. Strike 2. There was a cracking sound in the audio, and I could barley hear the speakers, even after doing all the software updates. Strike 3. The frame rates in EverQuest 2 on medium quality were very choppy. I confirmed the graphics drivers were up to date, yet the problem persisted. I checked the thermals, and they were in the 60 degree centigrade range, so that was certainly not the problem. The final straw. I restored the machine to factory settings in an attempt to start again from scratch. I was hoping for different results. After the auto restart, the computer refused to boot. I could have exchanged it for a different unit; however, I lost confidence in the build quality of the HP Omen laptop. My model had the Intel i7 12th Generation with 16GB of PC3200 ram and RTX 3060 graphics. I expected so much more. I must give credit to Best Buy for giving me a full refund both graciously, and without hesitation. I love Best Buy, and will do research and buy my next gaming laptop with them with the high confidence that if a customer is dissatisfied with their purchase, Best Buy will refund their money. With that said, if you still want to give this laptop a try, do so knowing you are in good hands with the folks at Best Buy, just abide by their generous return policy. Finally, I will add that I am in no way affiliated with Best Buy other than a customer.

Fast, powerful, and sleek. Runs graphically intensive games smoothly. Boots up almost instantly and has exceeded all my expectations. My only complaint is the amount of storage.

Powerful gaming laptop at a great price, will use it for design rendering applications

Daughter needed because she's majoring in animation, has been able to keep up with everything she has needed for school thus far (plus it lets her play the latest games about as good as my rtx2080). We'll be needing some more ram once she starts encoding videos and whatnot, but that would have certainly driven the price up ... we'll update later, though.

Great windows pc, the only thing that could be improved is a full metal body on top and bottom.

Bought it for my mom for Christmas and she has been loving it, I would say it was the best possible value for what I paid.

Bought this laptop in 2021 and its still going strong and no issues! Love it!
