We did a lot of research and decided on this laptop which has been a great choice. With that said I can say that my ONLY complaint thus far is the battery life is very poor. I would have thought with it being geared on the gaming side of laptops, the battery would last longer than it does. I have gone into the settings and have done all that is recommended to save the power but am still disappointed in that matter. With that, I would still buy this computer again and would recommend it to others.

Does what it needs to do. Light portable. Plays most current games on high settings with ease

Awesome graphics and speed for gaming. Does great running several programs at once for school. Only issue I had was that after 3 weeks owning the Omen I had hardware fail. Luckily I had insurance on it.

Helped my sister pick one of theses babies up! I liked it so much, I bought one for myself! Freakin so fast and and way powerful.

This laptop is very fast and good food gaming and movies.

Windows comes preloaded. Beware of any restore functions or resets that can require a disc, including the Refresh option. Laptop itself runs ok. I'm not super savvy with laptops, so I'm not sure that it always uses the high end Nvidia card that comes included. It seems it reverts to an integrated Intel HD 530 card when not using graphic-intensive programs like games. Should really not be a worry. If Windows happens to remove the Nvidia Geforce Experience program (happened to me) you can simply download it again from Nvidia's website. I don't know if this ensures proper function of the graphics card, but it did seem to make a difference (when compared to how the laptop ran with/without the program in the background) Overall, seems like a decent buy. These scenarios may be arbitrary. Regular users will enjoy this laptop. There are newer graphics cards on the market, so gaming will be up to your tastes. The HDMI features seemed really awesome during my brief trial. The laptop can send screen to a tv with very little lag. Would not recommend for skill-based gaming unless you can work the settings to reduce any screen lag.

Perfect screen clarity from every angle. Excellent sound. Ultra fast start-up. So far it has run every program and game I have thrown at it with no issues. Ultra light-weight. Great battery life. I was a little leary of it having Windows 10 after hearing that 10 had lots of "bugs", but haven't had any issues there either. Excellent replacement for my 10 year old HP Pavilion dv9000 series laptop. Extremely pleased with this purchase.

It's really quick and I like the fact that the keys light up so you can see the keys in low light.

This is the best computer I have ever had. It is quick to open up web pages. I love it and I also like that the keys light up so I do not have to have the lights on to use my computer.

I'm a student with a large workload and it easily handles those tasks. I'm very pleased with it's performance. I haven't used it much for gaming yet but so far it's fantastic. Great graphics plus the large memory and quick processors definitely make this a great buy in my book and I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a powerful gaming laptop that could handle gaming and much more.

I would say I'm 95% happy with this purchase. It is a great machine. The display is great, it's quick and works wonderfully. My few cons to this laptop.. just in case these are things that would bother you are 1. the keyboard.. I do not like the smaller keys that All laptops seem to have now. I was using a Toshiba with a flush keyboard. I find the flush keyboard so much easier to type on. I find this keyboard hard to type efficiently on. 2. The power cord plugs in on the right instead of the left as my previous laptops. I find this caused the cord to interfere with the mouse at times. 3. The usb ports are up near the screen instead of down my the touch pad. This makes it hard to plug in a flashdrive.. or whatever because the cord is there. 4. The mouse pad. I do not like the new touch pads where everything is on one pad. I much preferred the touch pad with separate left and right buttons. This pad is much too touchy and it zooms in and out constantly.

I was buying a gaming laptop for my brother and found out that HP Omen has some great specifications and these are available at a very decent price when compared to other gaming laptops. Performance wise I am still waiting to hear from my brother. Hope he loves it!! :)

Boot up a little slow, exhaust a little hot when running graphic intensive game

The laptop is an excellent performer. It was purchased as a college workhorse for high end apps like AutoCAD, Adobe PhotoShop, and a few other hi-end systems for college classes. To improve this unit, NUM LOCK, CAPS LOCK, SCROLL LOCK indicators need to be put on the keyboard, and the keyboard lighting needs to be offered in multi-color programmable options. The red color is hard on the eyes after a while.

This laptop is everything I hoped it would be and more. My only concern so far is during graphics-heavy games, one section of laptop gets very, very hot and cooling fan's working so hard I think it's going to blow the computer right off the desk. Have been meaning to call HP about it but it's probably normal. Can't tell in the short term.

We were sick of having to buy new laptops every 3-4 years because they couldn't keep up with programs that come out, so we started looking at higher-end machines. Although none of us games, we have a 2 year old that loves her pixar movies and the Mrs does FB live regularly. We needed to make sure we got something that could play HD videos/dvd and could broadcast in HD, as well. I've had 17" screens and 15" screens. The difference is *huge*. Plus the bigger frame means normal keypad+ number pad! Like I mentioned, , we have a baby, so the million pictures of her in the same poses needed to be put somewhere, and we needed something capable of occasional editing. This thing handles everything we ask of it, and it hardly "breaks a sweat". It's got the latest in processors, video cards, monitors, storage...etc, and it didn't come loaded with a bunch of HP garbage. I would 100% recommend this to anyone in our boat, looking for a future-proof laptop. I can't speak to it's gaming capabilities (I know, I know) but if you believe cnet and the likes, this laptop is very capable of full 1080p gaming with all of todays games.

Love my New OMEN computer! Had a Dell, hated it! I despised it! I can't find anything wrong with this computer! I love the speakers! Love the speed! I'm not a gamer so I can't speak about that aspect. BUT, I would say that I believe anyone would be very happy with this jewel! Highly recommend! Don't wait....you will be happy!

This was exactly what I was looking for in a laptop for gaming and internet usage. It was not as expensive as the other brand I was going to buy. I have had great luck with HP products in the past so I gave it a try. I have been very happy with my purchase.
