Can't say I'm not loving it! Definitely a sweet upgrade from my 5 year-old Omen 1660 Ti and LOQ 3050 laptops. Comes with a free basic full-size keyboard and mouse. Pros: *(running games and apps at base BIOS/performance settings with upgraded RAM and SSD)* -can run most games easily with capped 60 frames, high graphics at 2K/1440p resolution, even Unreal Engine 5 slop games (but remember, the GPU is designed to be a middle-market thing that takes advantage of DLSS features; raw performance and benchmarking may yield middling performance) -5060 Ti / 16GB card is compatible with Nvidia Smooth Motion technology (and other latest NV features) -plays well with third-party frame gen/scaling programs (Lossless Scaling FG) -Ryzen 7 8700F has good amount of headroom even for CPU-intensive games so far -good overall thermals and is quiet so far -easy RAM and SSD upgradeability -good aesthetics/LED lighting balance, not too childishly flashy (for a 39 y/o man like me) -easy to setup, no unnecessary bloatware and bloat background apps eating system resources -good amount of ports/connectivity -comes in a good-sized package (tower case) Cons (but easily forgivable): -this could have come with 32 GB DDR5 RAM; one has to buy the same exact specific RAM stick brand and model to upgrade to higher RAM capacity -misleading description on Best Buy where it is made to sound like it runs 6000 MT/s out of the box; need to use preset EXPO 1 or 2 via BIOS but it can be very unstable in CPU-intensive situations; default is 5200 MT/s BUT it is enough a speed if you're only going to be mostly gaming and doing some moderate to heavy video/photo processing and stuff -this should've come with a full booklet guide to everything just so it comes handy when a buyer wants to also upgrade stuff right out of the box -a bit too heavy to carry/move around (but definitely doable) -did not come with official Omen brand desktop background wallpapers; yes, I love the Omen wallpapers that my 5 year-old Omen laptop came with UPGRADES done: -RAM: Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 RGB EXPO Desktop Memory | 6000MT/s / 16GB x Kit of 2 (KF560C36BBE2AK2-32) *for a total of 32 GB RAM swap from factory-installed 16 GB sticks* *note: above RAM sticks swapped exactly match the factory RAM sticks the rig came with, installed on slots 2 and 4 for max base speed of 5200 MT/s, BIOS adjusted via EXPO profiles up to 6000 MT/s* *installing on all 4 RAM slots will result to slower speed at 3600 MT/s and possible instability even when using EXPO profiles* -Internal SSD: Samsung - 990 EVO PLUS SSD 1TB, PCIe Gen 4x4 | 5x2 M.2 2280, Speeds Up to 7,150 MB/s -External SSD (via one of the USB-C 3.1 ports): Samsung - T7 1TB External USB 3.2 Gen 2 Portable SSD with Hardware Encryption Internal stress/benchmark results at base/factory settings: 11,680

Computer works great. Upgrades are a little testy even though HP advertises it as plug and play. Otherwise, great purchase for someone that got tired of building.

Amazing PC. Its a great low budget PC. It plays all my games no problems. Definitely an upgrade from my previous 1080... I would definitely recommend this PC. It works with no problems and is super clean inside. I did upgrade the RAM with no issues either.

    A Great 1440p Gaming Experience!

The HP Omen 35L has an impressive appearance. It has plenty of airflow and ventilation. This is a great all-around mid-range gaming rig. The Ryzen 7 8700F is an efficient processor. It was more than capable of pushing out good frames at 1440p settings. The 5060 TI with 16 GB of video memory also did well. The extra video memory allowed me to crank up the settings in POE2. I was able to get 70+ steady frames even when on-screen effects are crazy. I also ran OBS great while screen-recording while gaming. Everything ran fine and stayed quiet. GTA 5 ran smooth on 4K settings on high. While gaming the desktop stayed very quiet. You could barely hear the fans. This means HP did a great job with the overall configuration here. I did upgrade the desktop with a second 2TB SSD. The 5060 TI has an extra bracket to help with sagging. Which isn't needed but HP did add the security. What I did not care for was all the bloatware that came on the desktop. I usually do a lot of uninstalling. There was a lot with this one. Oh, and the OMEN Gaming Hub was very cluttered. It has a lot going on. You can customize the desktop, Shop for games, Manage AI tuning, and manage many other things. It made the experience laggy... To add a second SSD, you have to uninstall and reinstall the GPU. Pre-builds are getting better and better. This one is great for a 1440p gaming experience. The Ryzen 7 8700F will perform well for gaming. The 5060TI 16GB performed well and should for a couple of years. Just upgrade the memory to 32GB and you're good to crush any games at 1440p. You may have to use some upscaling or DLSS, but most games perform fine with those features on. Everything in this setup stayed cool, performed well, and stayed quiet!

Neither a Good nor Bad Omen

Prebuilt gaming desktops exist in a lucrative space. The allure of limitless PC gaming comes with many advantages and pitfalls against console gaming, the most prominent of which is the do-it-yourself nature of assembling, maintaining, and repairing your own gaming rig. Not everyone is up to task, and prebuilt desktops present a great all-in-one, ready-to-run solution for those with limited time or who want the peace of mind of a warranty and support network. HP’s Omen line of gaming computers and peripherals take the opposite approach to other OEM’s gaming lines, foregoing extravagant aesthetics and aggressive “gamer” design choices for much more restrained, almost professional looks. The Omen 35L’s prominent but clean RGB lighting and smooth corners are certainly among the least gaudy designs among the gaming brands of major OEMs…but while HP has improved the Omen line in many ways since my last outing with the brand nearly two years ago, some questionable component choices and a significant price premium hamper an otherwise very good machine. - Unboxing & Setup The Omen 35L is packaged quite well with large impact-absorbing cartons protecting the PC all around. Built around a microATX chassis, the PC is a bit smaller than most other desktops and is easy enough to lift out of the box thanks to a plastic bag with integrated handles wrapping around the case. A quickstart guide and warranty info book are all the documentation in the box, and while the included mouse is nothing to write home about, the chiclet-style keyboard is a noticeable step up from the common cheap boards that usually end up in prebuilts. Initial setup is a breeze as there are no display ports on the mainboard to confuse first-time system buyers. Once powered up, Windows 11 installation is straightforward with only a few HP-specific additions for support and warranty. Preinstalled programs are limited to HP’s usual battery of bloatware, the Omen Hub, and a McAffee trial, with the remaining trials limited to Windows-specific promotions that come with any new Windows 11 install. These are easy enough to remove before you get started if you desire - though I would leave the Omen Hub installed for system control and tuning. - Performance, Thermals, Noise With a Ryzen 7 8700F running the show, this 8-core, 16-thread Zen 4 CPU handles multitasking and demanding games without much trouble. Paired to an NVidia RTX 5060Ti - specifically, the 16GB VRAM variant - the Omen 35L packs serious punch for gaming at 1080p and 1440p with near-maximum graphics settings, and 4K with high details (or at least maximum texture resolution) isn’t out of the question either. Clearly HP wants to position this machine as the bridge between midrange and high-end desktops. Running through my game test suite at 1080p, no game I threw at the Omen 35L dipped below 60fps with ray tracing disabled - most were over 100 - and all could hit the same with RT on and DLSS at Quality. It was only at 1440p did I find a couple titles would start to dip below 60 in intense scenes with ray tracing off…but with it on, expect more “cinematic” framerates. Perhaps think of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle as an interactive movie experience with the framerate locked to 30 or 24. Sure is pretty though! With a CPU that’s derived from an APU (a combined CPU+GPU) with the graphics core disabled, the 8700F is a very power-efficient chip, and the Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti is generally lauded for its power efficiency as well. Thermal design specifications show 65W on the CPU and 180W on the GPU, neither of which are extreme in the least and are relatively easy to cool with a decent heatsink and computer fans alone. The Omen 35L’s two front intake fans, CPU fan, and rear exhaust are all oriented for strong airflow through the system, and the tower cooler for the CPU has no trouble removing the modest heat the CPU generates. The dual-fan 5060Ti has plenty of heatsink and fans to accommodate its heat dissipation needs as well. Pushing both the chips to the limit under deliberately extreme torture tests, neither chip exceeded 75C and they spent most of their time hovering just below 70 when the fans were set to full speed in the Omen app. I wouldn’t recommend doing so unless you’re in a hot or stuffy environment; the default fan profile is conservative but plenty adequate and very quiet. - Part List, Upgradeability & Serviceability The list of included components (at least for my unit, there may be variances from batch to batch) is as follows: -AMD Ryzen 7 8700F processor (8 cores, 16 threads, 4.1GHz base, 5.0GHz boost) -HP “Wolant” microATX motherboard (AMD B650 chipset) -2x8GB Kingston Fury BEAST DDR5-6000 (30-36-36 @ 1.4v) XMP RGB memory* -OEM HP RTX 5060Ti graphics card with 16GB video memory -Western Digital SN5000S 1TB NVMe SSD -600W Lite-On 80 Plus Gold power supply (12v: 49.5a) -Realtek 8852BE WiFi 6 + Bluetooth -HP Omen 35L microATX case with tempered glass side panel & 3 fans on USB hub (*set to 5200MHz by default) My only complaint here - though it is a major one - is that for how high end the system is, equipping it with only 16GB of RAM is a major bottleneck. We’re in an era where 16GB is paltry even for a decent work machine with how quickly Windows and common productivity apps eat through system memory, and given the retail price of the machine I would have expected 32GB. - Serviceability, Upgradeability, and Software I give major kudos to HP for using no major proprietary components within the system. Every part uses standard form factors and connectors, allowing easy servicing after the warranty of the system, and appropriate recycling options as well. This is an area many OEMs are content to ignore in the pursuit of low costs at the expense of generating more e-waste, and HP deserves the accolade here for selling a modular system. Let’s start with the obvious: a RAM upgrade will almost certainly be the first thing most users will need to upgrade to run modern AAA games, as most now require 16GB and list 32GB as “ideal” e.g. Microsoft Flight Simulator. One of the first signs of insufficient RAM will be stutters and pauses during gameplay that are difficult to pinpoint or consistently replicate, and as more background apps are installed and running this will only worsen. At the very least, the motherboard has 4 RAM slots and only 2 are used, so in theory an upgrade by adding more memory may be possible - though it is not guaranteed to work with mixed and matched RAM. The HP microATX mainboard here is a pretty decent offering, though it is firmware-limited to only support 65 watt CPUs, limiting potential upgrade paths to more powerful processors. Port selection for future expansion is fairly good - two unused SATA ports (one with preinstalled cabling and drive cage), a PCIe x4 lane, and a secondary M.2 SSD slot with heatsink under the graphics card provide quite a few options for adding storage and capability to the Omen 35L. The power supply also deserves praise here for having a fairly good cable selection. Though limited by the 600W combined rating, I was pleasantly surprised to see a 12VHPWR connector for modern NVidia GPUs alongside two 8-pin PCIe cables. Switching graphics cards to other brands or slightly more powerful models shouldn’t be a problem. Two CPU 4pin power connectors and two SATA connectors round out the power supply’s offering. Not too shabby. The HP Omen hub software is surprisingly feature-rich and simple to use. I hesitate to use the “optimizing” features that act more as a system cleaner and Windows service disabler, but with the limited 16GB RAM on board this may be useful to squeeze whatever performance you can get out of it to reduce stuttering. The hub software otherwise has plenty of tweaking options, including RAM overclocking to enable 6000MHz speed, a curve optimizer for advanced CPU overclocking, fan control, lighting, and more. The software seems fairly unobtrusive and decently useful. - Bottom Line I am impressed with the Omen 35L overall. It looks good, it runs great, it stays cool, and it presented hardly any frustrations from unboxing all the way through to intense AAA gaming. It’s a great performer on day one that I enjoy using, and I will likely wind up using it as a primary PC after making a few tweaks and quick upgrades. Unfortunately, the Omen 35L’s biggest problem isn’t the hardware or software. Both are fairly good and show a massive improvement in the quality and consistency of HP’s Omen line, but I feel that the MSRP is just too high for a system with a second-tier CPU and 16GB of RAM. At 32GB I wouldn’t have leveled a complaint against either, but the part choice feels just pared back enough that I’m not comfortable recommending this machine at its $1,599 MSRP. At a significant discount it may be worthwhile if you’re willing to upgrade the memory, but this shouldn’t be the case anywhere near the suggested retail price. Shop wisely.

    Triple A Gaming Ready

The HP Omen 35L offers a mid grade entry point for people looking to spend some more money and be able to game at ultra resolutions. While it does boast the latest and greatest tech including the new 50 series gpu, the real question becomes if rather or not it is worth the hype. So for this review i wanted to really focus on what this set up is really meant for and that is a gaming rig that gives you some future proof tech and is out of the box ready. So out of the box the all white build along with the provided matching all white keyboard and mouse was very eye pleasing and appealing to the fact that it is truly out of the box ready to go. Yes you will need a bunch of firmware update, and i personally recommend using a program that will facilitate all your hardware updates with one push of a button. The first thing i did was take apart the unit just to see the tech and more personally how the wiring was done. I will say that HP did a excellent job at wire routing. And while this may seem trivial, i can tell you it helps with cooling. I am not a big fan of the fact that it only comes with two front facing fans to draw in fresh air. Aside from the fact you have a cpu fan and two tiny GPU fans cooling was on the back of my mind. When put up against games such as Expedition 33 or Cyberpunk GPU temps did good at staying around 75°C while CPU temps where hovering around the low 70s. While temps did maintain and were nothing to worry about, i will say based on my experience this will not be the case in the future. Keep in mind you will need to add more fans as tech progress and parts cooling efficiency degrades. The 1TB SSD means that you will be sharing storage space with all the memory for your start up apps and programs along with any games you download. Download and load times are definitely a lot faster but keep in mind with games starting to top 100 gigs you will run out of memory quick so take not that you will either be deleting games or upgrading to more memory very quickly. Now as far as tech goes there is some trade off to be aware of. Yes it is technically the newest but may not be the greatest. HP's bios is tricky to get in to if your looking to change settings. There is not much flexibility in the way of personalization unless you truly replace the mother board. Not a big deal for me since its already running PCIe 5.0 along with DDR 5 Ram. The Ryzen 7 does a awesome job at handling anything you throw at it, and for being a budget cpu i actually have no complaints other than you may struggle with 4k video editing. The GPU while technically a 50 series was a little less than what i was expecting in the way of performance. For being a 5060 Ti i really wanted to see how it would perform against a 4070 ti and 3080. The 5060 ti timespy score came in the lowest which was very disappointing to see considering it is a 50 series. Yes i understand its only 5060 and not 5080 or 5070 for that matter but i did expect it to be able to hold its own with the fact that it is a Ti model. I don't want to drag this review on so i want to cut to the chase. If you don't know much about computers and your looking for something thats out of the box game ready and that's strictly what your going to use it for then i say yes, go for it. It has enough tech to make it future proof for at least the next five to ten years in my personal opinion. More memory and fans will need to be added later on but that is a minor inconvience. If your the kind of person that normally builds your own PC but you have more money than time i'd pass on this set up. The specs and hardware are going to drive you crazy and your going to want to upgrade several items which is going to end up coming out to the same cost had you just built your own. With that being said, for being as critical as i am it truly does it the mark for being game ready. Just keep in mind the GPU really is the weak point in my opinion.

HP Omen has been a great brand for HP to showcase its high computing power, and their new 35L Gaming Desktop is no exception has it gives you one of the best gaming experience you could ask for! PROS: - Onboxing, I was really impressed with the design of this desktop. It has a nice premium build, super sleek edges, and of course the big beautiful open display on it to see the insides. After that, setup is super easy with this as it runs Windows 11. - Along with setup, this comes with a white HP wired keyboard and mouse. They look nice, and of course the wired connection gives you that extra fast speed. - When you start using this desktop, you will very easily notice how super fast it is. It has a high end Risen processor and it can handle a ton of applications at once - while of course handling the best gaming setup you have with no lag whatsoever. - Speaking of gaming, the graphics processing is also really impressive. It has a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card which allows for super colorful and detailed gaming, including top of the line performance on it. My games have never looked so smooth! - I also really liked the high end 1 TB solid state drive, no more loud hard drives! - Of course, all desktops still need to cool and this does a great job with a 4-Heatpipe design that not only helps cool it efficiently but of course you can utilize the fun RGB lighting to really bring your desktop to light and make it a super fun showcase point on your desk. - There is a bit of future proofing on this too in the terms of utilizing AI not only for Microsoft CoPilot, but for the NVIDIA graphics card leveraging AI as well for your graphics. CONS: - This is minor but I do wish that it came with more USB-C ports on it. It has one on the top and on behind the PC but that is it. With how more and more accessories are moving to USB-C, I would have liked to see at least four ports. - I also would have liked to see a WiFi 7 certification for this instead of WiFi 6. BOTTOM LINE: - When you are a gamer, you want the best of the best to give you your edge while gaming. And the HP Omen 35L desktop simply delivers on this. It has a ton with speed with high end processors, dedicated graphics cards, and a SSD. The HP Omen can handle a lot of applications as a time which make it a true do it all desktop for gaming, work, content creation, coding, and more. I really have no major complaints and just think that HP did a really nice job with this gaming PC and think a lot of people are going to be convinced this is the one to get!

Powering the new HP Omen 35L Desktop Series is the AMD Ryzen 8700F CPU paired with 16GB of Ultra-Fast Kingston Fury 6000mhz DDR5 Ram, 1TB NVMe Gen 4 SSD and the new Nvidia RTX 5060TI with 16GB of GDDR7 Graphics Memory. Opening the box, you are greeted with a layer of thick cardboard packaging that is protecting the computer. Remove this layer of carboard to reveal the White HP Omen Desktop Computer. Grab the two handles of the plastic bag wrapped around the computer and pull up and out of the box. Inside the box you will find the white HP wired keyboard, mouse and power cord. The keyboard and mouse are nothing fancy, however will get the job done. Setting up the computer is straightforward and easy. Connect the keyboard, mouse and power cord. Connect your favorite monitor with either the HDMI or DisplayPort connections on the back of the computer. On the top of the case, you will find the power button, two USB 3.2 A Ports and 1 USB-C 20GBs Port. Press on the power button to power up the computer. Immediately upon powering up the computer, you will notice the RGB lighting that has been built into the OMEN 35L. Definitely no mistaking this for your average computer. Plan on 2-4 hours of setup time from unboxing to ready for use thanks to the Windows 11 and HP drivers' updates needed. Once all of this is out of the way you are ready for some gaming. The RTX 5060TI Graphics Card is very capable of running most AAA Games with High to Ultra settings at 1080P or 1440P with High Settings. Overall, the HP OMEN 35L is a fantastic gaming computer for anyone that wants a well-built machine that is easy to upgrade in the future. Pros: 1. Great overall build quality 2. Standard computer parts used 3. Easy access to internals 4. 1 additional M.2 NVMe SSD slot on motherboard for storage upgrades 5. RTX 5060TI with 16GB of GDDR7 Graphics Card 6. Built in WIFI 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 7. Excellent cooling provided by large intake fans in front and back of the computer 8. Large CPU Cooler 9. Ram upgradable to 128GB of DDR5 Ram Cons: 1. RGB Lighting can be finicky especially if you want to turn them off completely (Requires setting in HP OMEN Lighting Studio and Kingston Fury Control App for the RGB lights on memory modules) 2. 16GB of memory in 2025 is barely enough to run Windows 11 comfortably with Multiple applications open 3. Memory is set to 5200Mhz by default and will need to be configured to the rated speed of 6000mhz in Bios 4. Factory image on computer is outdated and needs lots of updates applied before using the computer 5. Desktop is quite heavy for the build

HP OMEN continue this year with their most recent prebuild PC refresh that started last year, the framing of this PC is the same from their previous year but ofcourse this time HP OMEN 35L is equipped with an updated graphics card from Nvidia. I have the white case version of this omen, from the looks I feel like HP did a great job with their latest prebuild, it looks clean that looks good in any gaming setup. this one is equipped with 5060 ti 16GB version, a 120 mm fan, 1 TB of SSD for games and Kingston Fury 16GB of Ram. the front RGB colors and overall lighting of this PC is beautiful to look at. EXPERIENCE: I play alot of The Finals, I was using a 1440p monitor and when it comes to FPS I was reaching a great 170+ FPS with optimized setting that looks good. did not experience any CPU overheating and stayed on cool temp most of time. using the latest DLSS feature that the 5060 offers was also great I was able to test out the latest framegen on games including the finals that I didnt mind using it at all. seeing the game go over 200+ was amazing to experience. after testing on competitive games. I transferred my OMEN 35L on my sim racing where I downloaded ACC to test out the performance, I was not disappointed at all the game was running above 120hz while eveything was on the highest setting on 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor. I have yet to experience any fans going loudly due to aby over heat this PC is the perfect PC to use for my Sim considering this 5060TI also has a 16GB of VRAM, I have been enjoying the performance I need and I doubt I would need to upgrade due to the results im already getting. Back to Playing on competitive games. it did not have any issue running any game or any heavy hitting games, I feel like you should always test cyberpunk considering how demanding the game is but with the last X4 framegen this helps alot on single player games. CONCLUSION: if youre wanting to jump into PC gaming and unsure I highly recommend the latest prebuild that HP OMEN 35L is offering. its a great based line to start with all the things you need this PC will deliver it, then maybe later on upgrade the SSD space and atleast have the Ram to 32GB and 5060TI 16GB is so much better that I thought it will do. maybe upgrade the motherboard in the future if you want more inputs but beyond that I think HP again did a great job with this latest redesign its a perfect gaming PC for everyone.

One of, if not the BEST prebuilt PC on the market for less than $1500 out the door. It has had ZERO problems so far and runs like a dream and is ultra quiet even with the fans on turbo. The FPS and graphics are absolutely insane with the 5060ti. I recommend this to everyone who’s looking at prebuilt or just getting into PC gaming.

I really like the PC, getting great frames and steady performance. McAfee is annoying but I uninstalled it.
